Leon Anderson First and foremost you don’t know me so don’t speak on if “i’m tough or not” secondly he is grown as hell and you could tell he didn’t wanna speak on certain things because certain things don’t need to be said on the internet. Also as a professional journalist you learn that if it’s evident they don’t wanna talk about it move on, because then at that point you’re wasting the interview by trying to get them answer questions they don’t wanna answer and you’ve wasted time.
@Mariah J Let me preface this by saying this is not an attack and that I realize this comment is old. I just saw this video cus I have nothing better to do. Familiar with Clad, can't stand him but I saw Yells so I clicked. Worth. Anyway he's not a journalist. He goes by DJ Vlad. He's a journalist the same way everyone on The View or The Real is a journalist. He does these interviews for internet traffic, doesn't seem to care about whether or not the feedback is positive. He's still getting paid. He's a gossip columnist with a different platform that is almost exclusively based off of hip hop/hip hop history -- really just gossip at this point. Almost every interview is intentionally crafted to get someone to talk shit about someone else. His bread and butter was recording Lord Jamar talking shit about Eminem although that dead horse may finally be allowed to rest in peace at this point. He's not Anderson Cooper, more like Maury Paurovich or whatever his last name is and he seems content with that. He will never conduct interviews the way a professional journalist should. It seems like professional journalists don't do that anymore either.
dj yella spoke real shit to the dude askin questions even tho the dude askin questions was lowkey tryna get somethin outta dj yella. dj yella stayed true to wat happened
Yella is such a respectable person and you can tell by the way he handled this particular interview. He never put words in the mouths of those who weren't there, because he realizes that it isn't his place to give out information on certain situations; since he either doesn't have all of the details and the details he does have are better left unsaid, and left in the past. He's such a laid back guy. Respect, Yella!
This is text book on how to survive in the hood. Don't talk about folks behind their back, mind your own business, don't speak on issues that don't concern you, leave the speculating to the punk ass police, and if you have something to say about someone say it to them, in private vs. with someone else when they aren't around. Real OG right chere.
It seems that Yella was a neutral party in the whole ordeal, he doesn't sound like the type of guy to get caught up in drama and I don't think Cube even said anything about Yella. Must be a real chill guy.
Whoever is interviewing is annoying. He is cutting Yella off, its almost like he is just like yeah, yeah, next. Unauthentic! He just want to hear the dirt and nothing else.
+The Joker Terry Gross is a very engaged interviewer that allows the interviewee to lead somewhat. Sounds like a natural conversation. She's one of many examples of talented interviewers.
That's DJ Vlad for ya... he will do that when he's not getting the answers he wants/expected... he's the kind of interviewer that already answers his questions before the interview. He's very knowledgeable and can do a good interview with good questions, but that same knowledge is also the thing that can make his interviews terrible... and he can be a kind of an instigator.
Dre and Cube were producers on the flick so the history was probably slightly altered in the film to make them look better. Obviously Dre isn't gonna want that in the movie.
They didn't include "Fuck with Dre Day" either. They left out the entire Dre vs. Eazy E beef. They probably didn't have enough time, they weren't trying to alter the story. They didn't include Arabian Prince in the movie, who was a founding member of NWA.
I think they actually left it out to make Eazy a more sympathetic character for the audience. To play up the hard times he had fallen on. Winning diss battles would have detracted from that aspect of his storyline.
"G**DAMN I'M GLAD Y'ALL SET IT OFF!" That first line makes you wonder if Cube had some of this stuff brewing before the split; he's pretty smart. It seems like he started to realize Heller was running game but wanted to give him a chance to rectify the issue, but finally left when he realized Heller wasn't gonna break bread.
@@jordankerr1 He definitely said set it off. He had some pent-up anger over how Jerry Heller treated him and drove a wedge between the group. That whole situation was a powder keg and N.W.A. lit the fuse when they dissed him
Trombonebone okay guy😂you know I’ve cube so well. Sounds like your turning something that’s not a conspiracy into a conspiracy. Not even the right words
Big respect to Cube for not signing that jew contract. But he was also was the one with not a lot to lose since he was still a youngster when he was with NWA- he didn't have a kid, he still lived at his mom's house, and he knew he was the most lyrically talented member of the group. Of course he wanted that money but he wasn't down on getting fucked. So he went to NYC to record Amerikkkaz Most Wanted after he called it quits with NWA. The rest is history.
Not to mention Alonzo Williams always had lawyers involved whenever he did any kind of deal with Cube for his previous groups. People do what they have been shown. It's irresponsible to not have a lawyer when you sign a contract.
The General I agree completely, ether was nothing but playground jabs. Everyone acts like it was this fucking amazing track but it still fails to impress me.
Flowdeep The Producer Yella is the real homie. He ain't saying shit about none of his boyz. You can speculate all ya want. But you didn't hear it from me! That's what I get from people who really don't need to do these interviews. They'll share a bit for the sake of information but ya'll don't need to know all my business.

pretty sure he's just talking about any discussion around him coming back. there's other interviews from other members on it. when he left they just knew why and didn't really need to talk about it, so they didn't they just continued on
I honestly feel this movie should of been a trilogy. Part 1, NWA and how they formed ending with their break up. Part 2, all about their conflicts and how they went solo with their respective record labels such as death row, should include all the diss battles, as these diss videos were huge for hip hop at that time, the fights, all of that, ending with Eazy-E's death of Aids and how they all came together and put their differences aside. Part 3, pretty simple with Aftermath and how NWA has influenced and shaped rap artists of today, such as Eminem and 50 cents. Their so much more possibilities if they would of done it this way, but I do not think they thought the movies was going to be as successful as it is, I know they thought it would of been really good, but it has been the best hip hop biopic by far and all types of critics have loved it.
Sorry, but NIGGAZ4LIFE is the best NWA album. Appetite For Destruction, Alwayz Into Something, Find Em Fuck Em Flee, She Swallowed It. How the fuck can you not nod your head to that album? Classic shit.
+djvlad please more interviews about nwa , we wanna know more about eazy , please ask this question in the movie suge knight beat up eazy e and they said it didnt happen ...... dnt let us down vlad
You just felt the fire behind _No Vaseline_. I know I did. O'Shea always wins though. For years, I took what he said literally in _No Vaseline_. I enjoyed this interview, Vladimir.
Yella is right on one thing: "Straight Outta Compton" was lyrically better, but "NIGGAZ4LIFE" was better produced, beat wise. (ie: Ya'll ain't shit without Ice Cube... ah haaaaaah)
6IXVI Super nah, Ice Cube wrote 70% of their stuff. Without Cube most of their songs wouldn’t be stomping like it did when Cube wrote. They all head major roles (not discrediting them) but Cube was a key role.
I could sit and listen to Yella for hours. That's a good dude right there. For those of us that grew up in the era of the forming of nwa, we were fortunate. Even though it was some of the hardest, most negative music ever created, it was immensely monumental. Not to mention, way better than today's bullshit rap music. Brings back a lot of memories. Crazy shit
Right on! Beginning of factual street-life representation and possible source for social turnaround, with more vivid potential than that kinda sectarian, too smooth and unoffending, yet highly valuable conscious rap. Swing & missed -- due to grease balls, thrown by the industry. A short timespan, before label CEOs threw X in the mix and said: "Dance, and be bright and funny! Talk about elitist shit, like "striving for the top". Even though it'll coin you as sellouts, while churning out the devils lil' goodies to perfectly furnish juuust your own life. Then you go out and tell the masses they could be a star just like you, while trying not to laugh hysterically into their faces."
True artisty respects artistry. Cube's diss had to be respected. Especially from fellas you wrote for in the 1st place. That's why the Jay & Nas beef was so legit. Both artist respected each other's diss. #Respect
now THAT'S what you call True Sportsmanship. Ice Cube dissed N.W.A with songs like "Nigga You Love To Hate" & "No Vaseline" and N.W.A dissed Cube with "Real Niggaz", "100 Miles & Runnin'" and "Alwayz Into Somethin'" in the studio and on records. They NEVER wanted to had an actual fight over this..till date !!...This is True Sportsmanship. #RESPECT !!!
Muku Singh Dude what you 20 sumtn lol just playing I'm in my 20s but Cube didn't diss NWA on The Nigga Ya Love To Hate song in fact Cube didn't diss them not one time on the Amerikkkas Most Wanted album NWA thought ice cube dissed them on this skit from Amerikkkas most Wanted album but i can't remember the name of the skit cube was like "A message to tha Oreo Cookie no matter how hard ya wanna switch here's what they think about you"then after cube said that this racist white guy goes on to say how much he hates Black People and there culture after and after that Cube said "Now think about it fuckin sell out"NWA heard this and thought Cube was addressing them and Jerry Heller situation but Cube wasn't talking bout them the first actual diss Cube did was on "Kill at Will EP" on "Jackin Fo Beatz" because NWA dissed him on "100 Miles n Runnin"
"yo this ice cube on pump it up and I got all suckers 100 miles and running.(changes voice to raspy) like to give shout out to the DOC,punks u can't fade me." & Yella on some interview at Eazy house(?) stomps on a actual ice cube when IceCube is mentioned. if memory serves
Skip to 8:05 to hear what he has to say about the "No Vaseline" song. He doesn't say what the title of the video insinuates he says. All he says is yeah we heard it, nobody really got upset we just said okay you got us. He never says the group lost some mythical rap beef, just admits it was a good song.
Yella has to be the most chill, laid back person on earth. It's like everything just flows off of him like water. The dude isn't trying to be hard at all. That is exactly how you should be when you are older. Right now, Yella seems like the suburban next door neighbor that you (or your dad, for you youngsters) have back yard BBQs with in the summer, while discussing what is the better grill, charcoal or propane. It always wierds me out when Vlad has interviews with some old ass Gangsta from the '90s, and he is still acting like he will pull a drive by today at the drop of a hat like he is still a teenager. I keep thinking "Dude, you are 40 or 50 years old, you should have dropped that hard-ass gangsta shit about two decades ago."
On "Pump it Up", Cube said something like "I'm having suckas a 100 miles and runnin... I'd like to say what's up to The D.O.C.", so obviously it was a response to NWA's diss. Then Cube jabbed them again on the movie Boyz n the Hood where Cube (Doughboy) and his boys stomped out the guy wearing the We Want Eazy t shirt. I remember this stuff like it was 20 something years ago :)
Meek Pose umm.. yeh, yeh. He tried to snatch one of their chains. And i think Tony Toni Tone's "Me and You" was playing during that scene. Yes, the whole damn theatre was rolling when they beat the dude down. And i think this was before "No Vaseline", if I am not mistaken. Hell, he won the beef just on the strength of this scene.
+kweli05 yup, I remember that episode. I used to tape "Pump it Up" every week. and when Cube said "I'd like to say what's up to The D.O.C.," he was mimicking D.O.C.'s [post-car accident] voice. and ended with "y'all can't play me."
NWA rules. I remember in 91 when that shit came out. it blew up here in Brockton Massachusetts even metal heads were into that album they used real musicians and played very catchy licks and hooks I got to give it to NWA they were the real deal. RAW!
I think it is amazing and very rare that a rising band as volatile as NWA was (dealing with the business issues they had to at such a young age) managed to stay pretty much respectful to each other for so long (aside from the few derogatory snipes in a few songs.) Much respect for that.
Yella is a true class act. Definitely impressed with how he handles interviews given all the shit that happened and all the jabs back and forth. Homey’s definitely got my respect. Definitely a cool dude
no Vaseline #1 dis song of all times hit em up was the hardest but I don't know if it is any truth to him sex in faith & real Compton city G's would have been first but it came second in back to back Dat the most peaceful respectful dis song I ever heard in the words of Michael Jackson in my life
Every time I listen to Niggaz4Life I can't finish it because I get upset Cube isn't on it. Sonically that album is light years ahead of Straight Outta Compton, just doesn't have the strongest lyrics. I really wish Cube would go back and just hop on those beats for old times sake lol.
+CaliCool91 Me & my homeboys thought the same thing back then too,but look at the flipside :Niggaz4life would've benefited from Cube's gravitas (''Dead Homiez'' could've fit on that album, for example),but ""Kill At Will"" & all of Cube's other solo joints would've been lost in the sauce or wouldn't exist at all.
The chronology is a little off. Straight Outta Compton came out in the fall of 1988. The tour where they got detained by police was the summer of 1989. The 100 Miles & Running EP was spring 1990. (Also Amerikkka's Most Wanted). The EFIL4ZAGGIN album debuted at #2 in the first week, then made #1 in the second week, in late spring 1991. Death Certificate came out in the fall of 1991. The Chronic came out in November 1992.
Cerd71 no Eazy arranged to meet dre but Dre wasn't there just Suge with his goons hid in the room they all came out with guns . They didn't beat eazy up
When DOC hit the mic, it was like....ohhhhhh shit! I'm telling you, if Doc didn't have that accident, he would've gave Cube a run for the crown! Doc's lyrics was bang'n and his voice and a variety of tempo's made him dangerous on the mic! The whole city was sad when Doc got hurt i swear! Even after all this time, we still say maaaaan if Doc didn't get hurt, it would've been a totally different scene on the west coast. And yes i still have Doc's album in my rotation...please believe! Shout out to Gardena and yall stay safe✌🏾💯
This is all true. I was a little kid, about 13, when all of this was happening, and everyone who lived in the "jail jays" (projects near my neighborhood) was heart broken and believed in NWA and the DOC. EVERYONE in Bakersfield was on NWA'a jock, but i loved Cube. But it was so sad with a bunch of memorials for The DOC when it happened.
هيونكل الغضوري العنزي Dre and other guys from Death Row still had some lightweight jabs at Cube on The Chronic and on Puffin on Blunts Drinking on Tanqueray. I don’t know why they even bothered after being so thoroughly destroyed on No Vaseline
I was in high school when straight outta Compton came out and I'm a NYC kid and I absolutely LOVED the album nobody in hip hop had the balls to say what say!! Plus in 1988 people hardly curse so for them to say that the hood went crazy. That's why until this day I listen to NWA 💯💯💯✊🏾

What he's saying is damn near exactly what happened in the movie... If that had put everything in the movie it would of been 5 hours long lol
DJ ShaqTown 100 hours long
+djvlad lol definitely
+DJShaqTown i would have liked that
i wish it was
100 hours long, no problem, it's very interessant
14:43 Yella says he didn't touch the Fifty150 EP while wearing a Fifty150 shirt.
Lmao
People don't know DOC was a legend in the making before accident.
thats a fact tho
+Achilles Caezar The Formula!!!!!!
Achilles Caezar For real. Also he wrote a bunch of Dre's and Eazy's rhymes after Cube went solo. No One Can do it Better is a classic album.
+Achilles Caezar To me he was the strongest lyricist in the group
+Philly J not only them he wrote for Snoop as well. dude was a beast.
dj yella spoke real shit to the dude askin questions even tho the dude askin questions was lowkey tryna get somethin outta dj yella. dj yella stayed true to wat happened
It seemed like he was instigating shit
Dj yella didn't want to get in trouble or start problems
You guys new to djvlad? He does his thing but can be a real pole polisher sometimes.
Ayo Dunkit yella always told the story the best. he wasn't bitter or hateful about anything that happened
SHOUT OUT TO YELLA FOR WEARING THE "BEATS" ... ✌ ... RESPECT
"The shit was kinda funny"😂😂😂😂😂
Yes lmaooo
+Breanna Ward "I don't know bout all that"
+Breanna Ward "Thats why Ima fuck his bitch"
can't be scared of a grown man in high heels lololololol
+Breanna Ward lol yeah and his reaction was reflected in the movie just like that
This is text book on how to survive in the hood.
+Joshua Ramsey that line didn't seem as bad compared to the stuff he said about the others.
"Yella boy on ya team so you losing" -Ice Cube
+Joshua Ramsey hahaha
Barrington Morris that was it for the rest about the other menbers especially jerry
He kinda said fuck mc ren dr dre and yella in a line so
Dj yella looks so much older than the other nwa members
he is older than everyone else
Except eazy
Andre is the oldest
well living wise
Eazy is born 1964 not 63
Interviewer: remember that 20$ u owe me?
Yella: oh yeah
@blacmadesjb 2750, 😭😭😭
I'm dead☠☠
VLADS A BITCH , HE COULD HAVE ASKED HIM FOR THE $20 OFF AIR
Whoever is interviewing is annoying. He is cutting Yella off, its almost like he is just like yeah, yeah, next. Unauthentic! He just want to hear the dirt and nothing else.
Welcome to about every single interview
+The Joker Terry Gross is a very engaged interviewer that allows the interviewee to lead somewhat. Sounds like a natural conversation. She's one of many examples of talented interviewers.
That's DJ Vlad for ya... he will do that when he's not getting the answers he wants/expected... he's the kind of interviewer that already answers his questions before the interview. He's very knowledgeable and can do a good interview with good questions, but that same knowledge is also the thing that can make his interviews terrible... and he can be a kind of an instigator.
Agreed
Agreed, and hes extremely arrogant.
They played No Vaseline in the movie but they didn't play Real Motherfuckin g's diss thats bullshit
ikr
Dre and Cube were producers on the flick so the history was probably slightly altered in the film to make them look better. Obviously Dre isn't gonna want that in the movie.
+RELLIK72 yeah cause dre got absolutely fucked by eazy
They didn't include "Fuck with Dre Day" either. They left out the entire Dre vs. Eazy E beef. They probably didn't have enough time, they weren't trying to alter the story. They didn't include Arabian Prince in the movie, who was a founding member of NWA.
I think they actually left it out to make Eazy a more sympathetic character for the audience. To play up the hard times he had fallen on. Winning diss battles would have detracted from that aspect of his storyline.
"G**DAMN I'M GLAD Y'ALL SET IT OFF!"
That first line makes you wonder if Cube had some of this stuff brewing before the split; he's pretty smart. It seems like he started to realize Heller was running game but wanted to give him a chance to rectify the issue, but finally left when he realized Heller wasn't gonna break bread.
You think you could pick else that needs to be filled out sometime soon to spend time with the family
@@stevewoodson4635
huh?
He didn’t even say that lol. He said “god damn I’m glad y’all said it all”
@@jordankerr1 He definitely said set it off.
Not even the right words
he look like an older orlando brown
YakkiOnigiriZoro lmao I cant unsee it
'Cept less fucked up and looks younger😂😂😂
YakkiOnigiriZoro that's his father look it up
YakkiOnigiriZoro.. Say i know its a year later from yo comment but you stupid for that 😂😂😂
PornHub Cammo lies
75k signing bonus and 25% royalties is not "getting fucked".
Yella is is a smart dude!! He knows vlads rep for brain picking. yella knows what to say and what not to say! Respect to DJ YELLA
this dude wants peace. .no troubles
Randi Jones 🥺I feel bad for him
@@ellicemccarroll3930 why's that
He's all about that peace no trouble....
Sorry...
The D.O.C. was the truth!!!! ....His album was an instant classic!!!
The DOC's album was not a great album, it was one of the best rap albums of all time.
MakeufamousNDZ I agree that album was and is GREAT..Sonicly and lyrically
Ashamed he lost his voice in that car accident. Easily would have been one of the greatest ever.
MakeufamousNDZ You get props for this comment only true Hip Hoppers know about DOC!
MakeufamousNDZ If I am not mistaken DOC is from Texas?
He's right. The production on the second album was phenomenal
1dookiestain and the lyricism was on another planet
No Vaseline is the best diss track of all time. Screw hit em up and ether, No Vaseline is the best.
Nah krs-one's the bridge is over is number 1 then no vaseline in my opinion
marcus glover i agree the bridge is over went pretty hard. ended mc shan's career.
The General I agree completely, ether was nothing but playground jabs. Everyone acts like it was this fucking amazing track but it still fails to impress me.
honestly the BEST diss track is when Eminem dissed Mariah & Nick Cannon 😂
1. Jadakiss - Checkmate
2. Ice Cube - No Vaseline
3. Tupac - Hit em Up
4. Fat Joe - My fofo
5. I Smell Pussy - 50 Cent
That scene in the movie with DJ Yella's reaction to the diss track was golden.
This is a fantastic interview. I gotta say the questions were great and the way yella held himself throughout was amazing. Keep it up
lovin these Yella interviews
+Flowdeep The Producer he's like that cool uncle that understands life
same. great look back into nwa with no filter

Ice cube was the best out of NWA
Mc ren was underrated though
+keith cozart thank you!
+keith cozart And no one ever remembers Yella
well yeah no one remember him because hes not relevant no more. Ice Cube is in movies and Dre is selling overpriced headphones and producing the rappers of tomorrow. thats why they are still remembered
I always thought mc ren was the best
DJ Yella always comes off as a good dude , he stays humble. You don’t get that from legends that much.
this will get millions of views when it's said and done
You wrong
+djvlad Of course it will.
+djvlad it's almost at 1 milly kinda
What do you mean?
he said that through time this video will get millions of views.....
The rest of NWA didn't really talk about it when Cube left??? Lol, ok Yella. For some reason, I HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt that.
Polish Sausage ice cube was a kid compare to them. They made more money and better album.
Polish Sausage ice cube was a kid compare to them. They made more money and better album.
pretty sure he's just talking about any discussion around him coming back. there's other interviews from other members on it. when he left they just knew why and didn't really need to talk about it, so they didn't they just continued on
Polish Sausage yeah that was Fake
Nga who gonna believe that #$@&!
@@Cityboy1s right but this is AFTER the follow up success of straight out of Compton. Cube wrote a lot of songs on that record.
I remember meeting him couple years ago when he came to talk to all of us in Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall about god. He’s a cool cat.
Part 3 is all known. It was so well documented the fall out between Dre and Suge.
It would’ve made for a great tv show/series with all the story and what went on
This is an _interview._ The guy being interviewed is a real person who was part of the real group NWA.
Sorry, but NIGGAZ4LIFE is the best NWA album. Appetite For Destruction, Alwayz Into Something, Find Em Fuck Em Flee, She Swallowed It. How the fuck can you not nod your head to that album? Classic shit.
mellowman1978 I liked Straight Outta Compton a lot more.. but I do love all the NWA albums before Dre left
***** there wasn't any nwa album's after dre left. lol
yeah a classic the 2nd nwa album n it sounds like Dr dre his first album a little bit
Bro u just said nuggaz4life was your fav album in the video ...this ain't vlad
mellowman1978 I agree the only song I like from the First one is I ain't that 1. The second one was BOSS.
Got damn, I'm glad ya'll set off.

therealsatisfy Same here. I really enjoyed when he was talking to Bigg Tray Deee, too. Hopefully he'll interview the OG more.
+djvlad please more interviews about nwa , we wanna know more about eazy , please ask this question in the movie suge knight beat up eazy e and they said it didnt happen ...... dnt let us down vlad
therealsatisfy how bout now 😂😂😂😂 "pow pow pow "
You just felt the fire behind _No Vaseline_. I know I did. O'Shea always wins though. For years, I took what he said literally in _No Vaseline_. I enjoyed this interview, Vladimir.
U nothice Vlad said 4life instead of the first that man is smart even though it's a title of a song really don't mean nothing
Calls him Eric instead of easy, and everyone else he named by there rap names. Respect.
A short timespan, before label CEOs threw X in the mix and said:
"Dance, and be bright and funny!
#RESPECT !!!
actually on Amerikkka's Most Wanted, Cube never dissed N.W.A. Cube said it himself.
@@andraethegiant1987 He dissed them in an MTV interview. That's why Dre beat up Dee Barnes (Dre only fights womn and children).
@@salazam that was after they diss Cube
@@andraethegiant1987 Nah Cube dissed them by leaving. He started it by thinking he was better than everyone else.
The show with Dee Barnes was "Pump It Up". I still have that episode with the Cube/NWA thing on VHS.
Yep and got dee Barnes slapped about by dre
kinda sad how yella, ren, prince, and the D.O.C. are mainly forgotten about while ice cube is in movies makin millions and dre is filthy rich.
let’s be honest. ren had good ass bars but he was nothing compared to cube. same with yella good ass beats but nothing compared to dre
Why does the interviewer keep asking about Cube? Ask Cube himself!!!
cube will never talk to Vlad
Vlad tried & tried to get the beef cooking up again
... but yella was like... "listen youngboy, uh-uhh"
I like that he doesn't want to get in the mess again
Joseph Huff This dude is wishy-washy during this interview, but now he's directing black porn.
Joseph Huff yellow was a down ass dude, he was really real to Eric Wright true friends til the end.

Like shit keep ya mouth shut lol tight lip
Yella doesnt want beef,he is really friendly and he was the only one in the group that didnt wanna fight with eachother
I remember this stuff like it was 20 something years ago :)
word? i know which exact scene but i never peeped the shirt
Damn was that when dude tried to snatch Dookie's chain?
I remember I was laughing so hard at that part of Boyz in the Hood
RAW!
*If you're here for the title: **8:04*
LNxTCB thanks fam
LNxTCB good lookin out
Thank u I fast forwarded immediately
I think it is amazing and very rare that a rising band as volatile as NWA was (dealing with the business issues they had to at such a young age) managed to stay pretty much respectful to each other for so long (aside from the few derogatory snipes in a few songs.) Much respect for that.
Yella is a true class act. Definitely impressed with how he handles interviews given all the shit that happened and all the jabs back and forth. Homey’s definitely got my respect. Definitely a cool dude

Every time I listen to Niggaz4Life I can't finish it because I get upset Cube isn't on it. Sonically that album is light years ahead of Straight Outta Compton, just doesn't have the strongest lyrics. I really wish Cube would go back and just hop on those beats for old times sake lol.
+Blaqnostic ren always comes with dope lyrics
Ren and DOC handled they business!! Everybody is on Cubes nuts!! Cube is a Rap God but damn. Smh
i wouldnt say light years ahead tho
+CaliCool91 Me & my homeboys thought the same thing back then too,but look at the flipside :Niggaz4life would've benefited from Cube's gravitas (''Dead Homiez'' could've fit on that album, for example),but ""Kill At Will"" & all of Cube's other solo joints would've been lost in the sauce or wouldn't exist at all.
Ice Cube said in an interview he wouldn't have been down with the "Niggazforlife" album cover if he was still with the group.
The name of the show was “Pump it up” w/ Dee Barnes.
Dre beating on D from pump it up step to the Dog and get fucked up 😂😂😂
The chronology is a little off.
This movie made Ice Cube look like such a badass.
He was badass and easy E
Cube is a G And so is Eazy E research Eazy and cube suge never fucked with em
Didn't Suge have Eazy beat down in order to release Dre from his contract then threaten to pay his mother a visit after he refused the first time?
Cerd71 no Eazy arranged to meet dre but Dre wasn't there just Suge with his goons hid in the room they all came out with guns . They didn't beat eazy up
Charlie Cochrane out of all of the documentaries I've seen/listened to, I've never heard that Eazy invited Dre. Where did you hear that?
He's right. Niggaz4Life was way better than Straight Outta Compton.
+HAHA HAHA He was talking about the EP - 100 Miles and RUnning EP being better than Niggaz 4 Life ALBUM.
+HoodgrownProductions sorry I commented before I heard the very end of the interview.

Great interview by DJ Yella. There's no lying in him. Straight to the point with his answers.
Totally swayed the ghost writing questions...bawse...lol ... D.O.C n Cube the Real DeaL
EVERYBODY left Cube alone after this record
هيونكل الغضوري العنزي Dre and other guys from Death Row still had some lightweight jabs at Cube on The Chronic and on Puffin on Blunts Drinking on Tanqueray. I don’t know why they even bothered after being so thoroughly destroyed on No Vaseline
Just a heads up, 3:27.. that's called the "high pitched liars voice" my 10 year old nephew uses it from time to time.
Great interview. I was captivated from start to finish. Yella seems like a real cool guy.
Yella is like that fun uncle who can tell you stories without too much bias either way. He just kinda tells it.
This is really what time is your flight number 57 the opportunity but unfortunately for the update on the captain in traffic for the day
Is the "outsiders & getting into peoples ears" reference referring to their manager ?
I was in high school when straight outta Compton came out and I'm a NYC kid and I absolutely LOVED the album nobody in hip hop had the balls to say what say!! Plus in 1988 people hardly curse so for them to say that the hood went crazy. That's why until this day I listen to NWA 💯💯💯✊🏾
