As a PSA jumping does NOT make you harder to hit. It creates a predictable trajectory of your hitbox that is much easier to hit than erratic movement on the ground combined with crouching. Great video.
I really appreciate the Overwatch Dojo vids. They are well made, and explain WHY certain things are required. Love it, thanks for helping me improve my game.
This helped me gained my confidence in performance and the aim at the same time. I tried doing it the same way as console and I'm actually improving a little by little... this makes me happy!! thank you for a very helpful guide
Found this via reddit and I'm so happy that I finally have a training program to get better with tracer since I really enjoy playing her! Btw: Really nice editing, too. Keep it up!
I main widow so I'm not used to tracking (I flick a lot) but I also play Sombra and Tracer and this guide helped me track better on both of the two! Thanks
Just like to add that if you don't one clip the bots and leave them on a sliver of health, practice animation cancelling your melee with blink instead of reloading and shooting them again. Its a handy skill to have that you can throw into any of the drills that involve shooting and will help train muscle memory to melee to secure a kill instead of reloading and losing your target etc. Thanks for the video!
Wow, this is really helpful. I want to practice more with tracking aim and flick aim heroes like Tracer. This will be useful and it has given useful information on movement. Not only played as Tracer, but trying to counter her to.
Nice video! I like your input and style and I'm definitely gonna try this out as a warmup. Don't tell tracers to jump tho!! PSA ALL TRACERS: Don't spam jump while you're engaged with an enemy. Most good aimers find it MUCH easier to hit a jumping target, especially jump spam because the rhythm is very easy to recognize. Because Overwatch has 100% movement acceleration, when you A and D spam, your character model actually moves on your opponents screen quite a bit. This is the desired affect. Jumping makes it SEEM like you're moving around irradically on your screen, but on the opponents you're just doing little predictable arcs.
For the other comments, jumping with tracer is fine in some scenarios. There are some pros who will jump and blink mid-jump in the opposite direction. It usually will happen mid reload though, to throw off the aim for milliseconds; which we all know counts a lot for Tracer. Just don't jump when you have no blinks left. Also, at very close range you can jump into the opponent and shoot below you (A trick I have seen SoOn use; though not often). Thank you for the drills! I have already seen a bit more added accuracy (from 25% to 35%). It made some moves with Tracer really click that I didn't know I hadn't build muscle memory for.
You could be giving terrible tips and it wouldnt even matter, this video is just so smooth and well done. (Obviously the tips are great, nice!) Crisp and simplistic, exactly how a video like this should be
Man, what a great video! It´s really helpful and extremely professional. I´m just starting with this game and I really liked Tracer. You deserve more likes. Good job! Keep it so and thank you so much for the training :)
Lots of the tips are "already" known and some look evident but your video and your explanation are just totally right (no too much, just right enought). So great vid, hope we will some more like this :)
I'm gonna give this a try. I'm almost Dia-Master but I play hitscan. I'll see if this makes me any better at Tracer and Genji which need the faster reactions. great video from what I saw. Will keep ya posted.
Subbed, although I knew these drills even before I saw your videos, I really appreciate the work you are putting into making them great. Very instructive. Keep up the great work!
This is a good one! I'll make sure to try it out! you should do an aim tutorial on Soldier:76 and how to deal with his spread to optimize his accuracy and damage.
nice , video ! i always do 10minutes vs trainingBOTS and after that 10 minutes custom lobby headshot only vs anaBOTS and after that i play either quickplay or 1v1 and mostly gonna start competitive then ! works pretty nice for me , got me to almost 4k ranking
Turned my adblock off just for you. Professional editing, nice, simple and clear. Well done! Also loving the sheet you put in the description, it's very helpful. :)
StillOP I just started last week so I'm at a very low rank lol on comp. but I think I'm around lvl 26-27 maybe thanks for the advice though can you give me more tips btw? I main as Tracer (only 4 hours lol I'm a noob) but sometimes play as Widowmaker, Bastion, Torb, and D.va.
helpfull and well done tutorial. Just a quick note : when you say "jumping makes you harder to hit" i think you are wrong, jumping makes you way easier to shoot cos you cant move mid air and your mouvement becomes predictable. If i dont have blinks i just go right and left and try to confuse whoever is shooting at me.
You are right, the best movement type when your opponent cannot estimate where you will be in the next moment, but we think some jumps or crouches can be also confusing. The mid-air time during a jump is not too long, so it worth to move not just left-right.
Can you please tell me the name of the song in the beginning? thank you for the video! it's the best tracer tracking guide i've seen and i watch a lot of tracer videos.
Well, before I would mostly hit like 25-30% in accuracy, now I see myself at around 60% when I check, once again thank you for putting your time into making this amazing guide!
We would advise against that. Your motor skills need a consistent environment to develop. Changing sensitivity between characters throws you off more often then not.
I love the lay out you use and the graphics great job man!!!!! subscribed and gana tell my friends about this channel. it's hard to find a good channel like this. think you can make a reinhardt video ?
Will definitely try this, im an average skilled player but when i first started using tracer i was godlike and now im meh so i need to brush up on my practice

I have a little difficulty under standing your accent but I this this is an underrated channel
Thank you..or something like that :D

Very nice video, and very well made!
Good video, definitely worth warming up with some of these drill before playing.
Thank you! Yes, it actually helps you to perform better if you warm up in the practice range. With consistent training, you can improve your aim too!

Thank you, dude! :)
Hey very nice video! Just wondering if you can do a console version cause I play in the PS4, thanks!
Huhh, we have never tried Overwatch on consoles. Probably same gameplay and movements, but we don't know exactly.
cookiekatt what rank are you? btw flicking can be done with higher vertical sentivity (around 55) i play on ps4 and tried this. it works decently

Firstly, thank you :)
I think, you can find it in the description :)
Thanks! sorry for that

Thanks I am so bad at aiming this will help
Very nice video good ideas thank you
Thank you! :)
This is what I'm looking for!!!!
:) Good to hear!
Thank you for making this, really helped me out :)
We are glad that this helped you. Did it improve your accuracy stats? If yes, by what margin?
Well, before I would mostly hit like 25-30% in accuracy, now I see myself at around 60% when I check, once again thank you for putting your time into making this amazing guide!
Amazing guide thanks!
The plesure is ours! Give us a feedback about your development :)
do you recommend to use different sensitivity for each hero?
We would advise against that. Your motor skills need a consistent environment to develop. Changing sensitivity between characters throws you off more often then not.
I love the lay out you use and the graphics great job man!!!!! subscribed and gana tell my friends about this channel. it's hard to find a good channel like this. think you can make a reinhardt video ?
Thank you for the compliment! A Reinhardt-video already is in the schedule ;)
Are there any alternative tips you can give for medium to long range tracking with soldier?
ill be honest, even the first and second one are extremely hard for me, i think this will help me a ton get out of gold
Will definitely try this, im an average skilled player but when i first started using tracer i was godlike and now im meh so i need to brush up on my practice
Just keep the foundations solid, and you should be good!
Nice vid mate
Thank you mate! :)
This does apply for sombra tracking right?
Yep, but we have Sombra video also :)
