If you're against a Hanzo or a Widow NEVER JUMP IN THE OPEN!!! Even if the moment you jump might be unpredictable, every good player will know to wait that little bit until you're basucally static in the air and then shoot. Although jumping to cover is often good since they can't track the jump. Also jumping is usually better than crouching in very close range fights
Also can I just say how good this channel is? I don't know how you don't loads of subs, seriously high quality content that is engaging, entertaining and helpful. Keep it up! ❤️
One small correction: a jumping player's trajectory cannot entirely be predicted because Overwatch has air control. The air control speed is less than the running speed though so a jumping player certainly can be more predictable than a running player.
Actually, I've found that going towards them and jumping over their head works wonders. Most players struggle with 'in your face' tracking skills, so doing this will throw them off. Especially if they guess wrong on the direction you went. This is less effective against winston than symmetra, because symmetra can easily be killed after you jump over her. Winston you'll have to fake out a few times. Unless you're reaper. :)
I play Mercy and the enemy absolutely hates me. I abuse her movement kit for dodging. Also, if it's not a Winston or Symmetra beam character, but one that requires shooting, I get in close if possible (around just outside melee range) and jump like a toddler on a sugar high while mixing in both backward and forward movement in addition to A and D. (I'm kind of surprised you didn't include forward or backward movement in there, because that's saved me multiple times. Most especially to screw up McCree flashbangs, if they try to spam the hammer.) The hover lets me get away with varied movement during jumps and falls. I've been playing FFA and so there's no team to Guardian Angel (GA) to, but with a team, that's a very important tool. Especially if you cut it off unexpectedly. FFA is fun because I stand in the open and openly battle (and usually win against) snipers. Most of them do a slow strafe type movement and I spam head-height shots at their position. As far as other characters, I like mobile ones and use similar dodge mechanics. The one I'm talking about with forward movement is like, combining forward and backward movement with side to, usually to get close to the enemy. Like: A+W>A>D+S>D+longerW>D>D>A+S>A>A+longerW>A+shortS and it's also a hint of serpentine movement. I almost never move directly forwards or back, and I'm careful to make sure I'm not moving forwards or back *in relation to an enemy* because I find that happens occasionally and it's basically the only time I get headshot, so I watch for it. Once I get in close, I can sometimes almost keysmash, which I've trained myself to aim while doing, to some success. FFA is actually really helpful for practicing, but getting a strict 1v1 is difficult.
Jose Guardiola they probably have terrible aim, dont know how to position, dont have any game sense and dont focus (get phased out and make stupid mistakes). I know it might sound mean but im afraid it is true
Eric Cheng Hey man. If someone like me, who has never played an PC game in my life, can make it to high plat(25 away from diamond last season😭) Then I believe you can. I'm also bad at aiming, which took me till around level 40 just to get above 38 aim accuracy every match.
I don't understand should i use the dodging in 1 v 1 only or replace it with my normal movement And how would dodging will help me land my shots if i am moving in a way i am not used to it
I would recommend dodgingin all fights. The goal of dodging isn't to improve your aim but to make it harder for your opponent to hit you. If you 1v1 someone and take less dmg due to dodgin, chances are you will win that fight.
I'm in bronze but have 45% weapon accuracy on soldier and I'm pretty good at positioning maybe you could tell me what I'm doing wrong if I send a video in
AsianNightcore Same you just gotta make sure you win the few games you play, recently I got placed pretty low for me at 2080 and have won most all of my games in two weeks to get to 2525
Nice video, but I would like to hear more about crouching. Many people recommend it, but I don't see much of it in pro matches, and I'm kind of afraid of using crouch, because most people aim for bodyshots and if I crouch they can land an "free" accidental headshot on me. Am I incorrect?
The important uses of crouch are lowering your camera so you can shoot under things (e.g. the payload) and reducing the sound of your foot steps so you can sneak up on people when flanking. It slows you down quite a bit so it's not useful for dodging but I guess throwing in a crouch now and then might throw someone off. Crouching used to be a more viable dodging technique when it could be spammed rapidly but there's now a cooldown on crouch.
not a profi Crouching is best against a skilled Mccree, Widowmaker, or Genji. Essentially those who are used to getting headshots or need them to do optimal damage. I have more than once stood quite a distance a way from a Widowmaker while just dancing with crouch and adad movement. They can't get any good hits in, and you waste their time. Against enemies with aoe or sizable spread though, crouching has limited effects.
Instead of ADAD movement I tend to move diagonally relative to the enemy, I wonder how good is this. It comes from my time in Unreal Tournament's deathmatch where ADAD movement in a duel can turn you into an easy target for someone that comes from the side, also from habbits of double tap dodging from there where I press for example the W key while dodging to the side with AA or DD to continue moving after I land.
how about a video on how to kill strafing targets? I cant keep up with people moving fast back and fourth with tracking. I dont even know if its possible with pure tracking. But let me know maybe I just suck
He goes over planting in the video, which is when you put your crosshairs in the position where they will be and keep it there. Wait for them to strafe into your crosshair and shoot.
cakemasterTorch thats still not always the best idea tho, Maybe with someone like mccree/ widow it's good, but with tracking aim Heroes like 76/ tracer try to movewith them a little and you can predict the place to shoot Helix rockets at.. i hope this helps a little
It's not possible. If someone is ADing correctly, you have to guess where to shoot. This is due to the fact that heroes don't have acceleration in OW. Since your reaction speed is limited, and the rate at which they can change direction is not, you can't actually track them in a traditional sense. Depends on the width of their character model, but for skinny ones like widowmaker and baby dva, it's not actually humanly possible.
but remember guys, no matter how good your dodging with Winston, always stay and dance around your bubble shield while engaging Hanzo. He will relentlessly aim for your feet.
Overwatchdojo nah, I've learned to cope, gold isn't as bad as people say it is, I've been playing since the first day of season 1 and. have so far only encountered 1 actually genuinely super salty. great video!
hard to dodge when the ping is always shit and the american and Korean perfect .we got Oceanic servers nd the 13ms lastest 1 week and then back to 100+ ,blizzard is always fucking shit up
Electro mite put on captions (there is also english auto generated captiona)... And by captions I mean subtitles. Then you can hear too what this awesome Guide giver is saying :)

Serious, the graphics on these videos make me so jealous.
We are growing day by day, we are happy about it : ) Thank you for the compliment.

Nice comment!
Wow. This is. Wow. I definitely needed this.
To all my TFS bros: DOOOOOOODGE!
Brother Shaw :^)
Brother Shaw -gohan ptsd kicks in-

Brother Shaw GODDAMN IT PAVLOV
Nice! :D
Still can't dodge a Winston and Symmetra
OmegaSpirit no aim no brain

Add a moria and brigetta to that list now
I'm having a lot of trouble being unpredictable with genji so this helps some but when I double jump I find it difficult to be unpredictable.
That was actually really good. Nice video :)
Thank you, dude!
Thanks for the tips, just 4250 yesterday :)
RussianCows course you were
nice :)
Great video. I personally fall for AAAA movement ALL the time
That widow shot at the end of the video is clean

Probably the most important thing you need to learn in any shooter game even more important than aiming .
for pharah shots, junkrat bombs, and zarya's alt fire you can get less damage if you're jumping instead of remaining on the ground
Thank you for making this video possibly it'll help out those in gold who walk in straight lines
:) Definitely.
wow this is actually really helpful. gotta save this video
gooood news :)
Still can't make it out of bronze
feelsbadman
Eric Cheng Dam bronze is so easy how?
Jose Guardiola they probably have terrible aim, dont know how to position, dont have any game sense and dont focus (get phased out and make stupid mistakes). I know it might sound mean but im afraid it is true

You can do it! :)
TommyGTR same, Overwatch was my first pc game and I play with Bluetooth peripherals on an office pc with 47% accuracy and I'm in mid plat
Amazing video man I was stuck at high plat now I'm in low diamond thx
Thanks for the tips my dude.
quality content u got urself a new sub
Gooood news :)
Very helpful video! I was jumping too much. By the way, are you the host from Cooking with Dog?
Thank you for the feedback : ) You mean the voiceactor?
I don't understand should i use the dodging in 1 v 1 only or replace it with my normal movement
And how would dodging will help me land my shots if i am moving in a way i am not used to it
Ali Almutari i recommend using movement in 1v1s always just try to get used to it, playing as mccree might help you with learning the movement

Ali Almutari If you move unpredictable, you will stay alive much longer, so you can get off more shots if you have the aim for it :)
Maybe you should explain the "shuffle" a bit more cause I don't follow completely.
Agreed
I'm still not understanding the shuffle dodge...basically you mix up dodge 1 & 2 with front and back movements?
just got golden genji shurikens today. this video helped me to become a better genji
:) The pleasure is ours!
Can you make a tutorial on what fights to take and when to run away
Great Video!
Thank you!
I seriously love listening to your accent.
Thank you :)
ADHD movement
glad I'm not the only one who constantly thought of this throughout the vid :D
That's offensive
@@billysbasement2520 of course it is
Thank you sooo much bro... thanks to you I got out of bronze and salty silver
I'm in bronze but have 45% weapon accuracy on soldier and I'm pretty good at positioning maybe you could tell me what I'm doing wrong if I send a video in
How?
Im high Plat and have 42% Accuracy with Soldier.
There is somehting youre doing wrong
ᅟᅟᅟᅟᅟᅟᅟᅟ
I think it is because I can only play in the weekend so it's really hard to climb
Daniel YT I can only play on weekends too. rip
AsianNightcore Same you just gotta make sure you win the few games you play, recently I got placed pretty low for me at 2080 and have won most all of my games in two weeks to get to 2525
ᅟᅟᅟᅟᅟᅟᅟᅟ The movements are easier to predict in bronze than in platine.
Post more often! love ya
I usually move diagonally then move left then right then diagonally.

not a profi Yeah that is why i dont crouch as much as i want to, Because if the enemey only gets 1 headshot i am screwd

I got killed by Mercy as Winston once and that was kind of embarrassing.
I wont underestimate mercies now by jumping on them when I have 100 health.
How embarrassing.

Vladimir Tchuiev Much better, that's what I do as well. Try S too.

Im plat atm. Im having a shit season, at 2450. All other seasons I was diamond. I feel like i lose more SR than I gain and idk why.

nice guide.
thank you! :)
i usaully crouch spam to dodge or changing directions when I jump in a 1v1
Perfecr video for Gohan.
nice :D
How do you do those edit animations?
Mostly in Paint :)
Overwatchdojo Everything?! In paint?! You have to be joking
I pressed A and D. We did it bois
Dont know if this has been asked or not because I havent taken the time to sift through the comments so here it is: Is that a hungarian accent?
I am pretty sure it is :) a pretty strong one for that matter...
Yep, the voice recorder of this video is hungarian. It is not that strong by the way :)
10:00 wtf he definitely hit that shot
How AAAA works? You have to hold A or tap A four times ?
You move in one direction but unpredictably release and tap the key to stop, so your opponent slips up.
I use body blocking to save teammates or to stop a mercy from rezing the enemy
Any tips for console?
Huh, we are not experienced in console games, but visit our discord. In the community we have a lot high ELO console gamers also :)
It's the same movement patterns. Just make sure you only jump only at close to mid range.
Gohan should watch this video, he still needs to learn how to DODGE!
Oh yeah
tfw when you use some of the Master rank dodging techniques even if you are in SIlver.
but remember guys, no matter how good your dodging with Winston, always stay and dance around your bubble shield while engaging Hanzo. He will relentlessly aim for your feet.
I’m sorry but when he said exexceterateria I died
Where is that? :o
u dodge Widowmaker's shot by fidget spinning your way into survival. 100% works.
How do you not mention lucio when it comes to dodging you guys obvious never heard of Dspstanky
Obviously!
Necrit, is that you?
Uhm, not really :)
Overwatchdojo Darn it lol, nice voice still haha
Trying this on console
Wait so I am meant to press wasd repeatedly instead of holding buttons to move?
that gets predictable surprisingly enough.
The average accuracy with mccree is 50-60? I average 48% and I'm still in gold. Feels bad.
Mechanics are not everything. You may have 48%, but spend most of your playtime dead because of bad positioning, bad skill usage, etc, etc
Overwatchdojo haha yea, that's why it feels bad.
Your telling me I can dodge bullets? I'm telling you when I'm done with you, you won't have to.
uhm, what? :D
DODGE!!
YEAH!
i just wanna say when i was standing there i had about 300 ping+ xD
just look at your enemy weapon and you will find out where to go
you don't have to dodge if you are already dead (taps head)
rawr
rawwwwwwwwwwr
So your telling me I have the same movement skills as a Master, yet I'm in Gold....... I cry every time
Do not cry, will be better ,we promise! :(
Overwatchdojo nah, I've learned to cope, gold isn't as bad as people say it is, I've been playing since the first day of season 1 and. have so far only encountered 1 actually genuinely super salty. great video!
Overwatchdojo
You blinked hit dat smelly jelly like button
you got me
wish this was helpful if my ping was not 200 all the time lol
Oh, it is sad :(
lol i thought this was about q-dodging
The average McCree accuracy Is 50-60?
mine is 48 :(
at least I'm close :)
don't you hate it when you lose a limb and you have to get a bionic version omf #frustrated
?
Hey I'm GLITCH soldier 76 bb boi
Hi I'm bad
Hi, I'm Levente.
Overwatchdojo tudtam h ismerős valahonnan ez az akcentus 😄✌️#Hungária
For sure :)
U good yet?
BusinessCat "u are invited to join overwatch to be my slave"
yup
When the doctors have to cybore-jize ur body 😒
im high gold and i dont do that at all
Why do almost all the OW youtubers use the same kind of music ?
It is free :D Dunno, mate :D
There's too many tips, I need to practice everything
When fighting against headshot heros like McCree or Widowmaker, crouching right before they fire removes your head from their crosshair completely.
ithought that was a dad movement xD
spanish please!!!! subtitles
I love your channel, but... Overwatch is blizzards flagship game? lol nah. no it's not lol
A good ass turkish accent there
The voice actor is hungarian :) But whatever..alma :D
Sup dojo, roast my again plies
OK, my sexy boy :)
hard to dodge when the ping is always shit and the american and Korean perfect .we got Oceanic servers nd the 13ms lastest 1 week and then back to 100+ ,blizzard is always fucking shit up
it is sad :(
pvp where are you
I can't understand one thing this dude is saying
Electro mite I understand more from this guy than from native british talkers
Junton lol please sum up the vid for me
Electro mite put on captions (there is also english auto generated captiona)... And by captions I mean subtitles. Then you can hear too what this awesome Guide giver is saying :)
Junton Alright thanks I complete forgot about that xD
Electro mite haha no problem ;) but yeah. I am not native english speaking person so I understand this kind of english better than native british
This is some bullshit about bronze there strafing is identical to gold and platinum ive been in both
Their*
What do you mean?
Overwatchdojo i mean the stereotypes about bronze are a bit distorted they aren't actually that bad - great channel btw
iS hE INdIAn?????
Ok this doesn't work with phara so no like
