Thanks a lot !! My computer was very noisy and too hot. I opened it today and I was surprised by the big amount of dust in it. I cleaned the fan. I almost collected a bowl of dust from it. Now It's running smooth and quite. Big hug !!
When i disassemble my laptop almost once or twice per year i take of the little fan from the motor, fully clean it with water and soap, let it dry , oil it and then put it back on
After I removed the fan assembly, I found out that the tape from CPU was ripped off into 4 pieces. Can I just use extra thermo paste? Or it is very important to use a tape?
hello thank you very much you were very accurate!the thing is that i have a prob now when i turn on the laptop at the start it shuts down after a min before entering windows did i do something wrong could you give me a tip!i did everything that you did except renewing the paste thanks
hi thanks for the quick response!no it doesnt loading logo just the logo of phoenix!but i manage to fix it just putting the new paste exactly as u do the thing is that i still have the noice of the fan some times!u think i should change it?but its working thanks in advance
vardisf You could try taking the fan apart and cleaning and putting some new grease in where it spins. I have recorded a video of it, but haven't had time to edit and upload it yet. Or you could get a new/replacement fan. Cheers.
Incredibly talented. However, not for the average person. You could make a fortune doing this and all you would have to do is sell one message. Prevent your laptop from overheating, nice job....
Haha thanks, if only it were as easy as you make it sound. I'm not a laptop expert and every laptop is different. This particular one took me about 4 hours to do so I doubt I'd make money from doing this sort of stuff. It was just a weekend thing I did for a friend.

vardisf Hi. Does it get to the Windows loading logo and start loading the operating system? What exactly do you see before it shuts down?

and what is the maximum ram support of dv 6700 in my pc it is 2 gb and I wnat to upgrade the ram
You can go to 4GB. If you want more than 4GB you'll need a 64bit operating system, but I'm not sure if the chipset supports it.
can I remove the processor of it
I don't think so. I think it is soldered on.
It's possible to remove procesor you just have to turn screw on socket and you can remove processor then.
Where is the graphics card
At 4:28, it's near the bottom left. It says nVidia on it.
thx
