Location and function of the vacuum hoses for the 2zz-GE engine on the throttle body and the intake plenum. This includes crankcase breather, PCV, brake booster, and EVAP VSV. This applies to most variations of the 2zz including Toyota Celica, Matrix, Vibe, Corolla, Pontiac Vibe, and Lotus Elise and Exige naturally aspirated = NOT supercharged.

I just noticed my 2zz is different. My throttle body doesn't point upward like that. It goes straight out the side. And the vacuum lines are different. Thoughts?

Yes - the one pictured here is from a Corolla/Matrix 2zz. It angles up at 45 dfegrees. The one you have is from a Celica. It comes straight out level. With your intake manifold, look for the small vacuum nipple right on the plenum., close to the tb.

wonder if you can help me .. I have a matrix with ZZ-GE that the throttle body idels high in the morning up 2000 to 2200, after i cleand it awhile back ans sometime when driving and coming to a stop it Idels high and need to step on the acelerator so it idels normali (1000 rpms).. do you know what can be causing it? thanks

Maybe your throttle cable is sticking when you release the pedal and come to a stop.

When you start the car cold RPM should go between 1500-1800 on cold start and come down gradually. @@hectorpena3392

well it goes up to 2000 rpms and somtimes even al the way to 3000 rpm and gradually goes down to 120 rpms ,all started after I cleaned it.@@Merryfrankster_

Exactly what i needed! Which VSV does that hose go to, is it 90910-12225 or 90910-12222?

I dont know the part number. It's the blue-green VSV with two ports, an inlet port that connects to the firewall tube, and a outlet port that goes to the plenum. The other VSV, the black one, does not connect to the plenum.
