You do realize that one of these hoses is the INLET to the valve cover / PCV system. It does not have oil entrained in it at all, as it is simply fresh air upstream of the butterfly valve in the throttle body and downstream of the air cleaner. This is the larger of the two hoses and the one closer to the passenger compartment on the valve cover in the MR2. In other words, the catch can on this hose is worthless and completely unnecessary (only need one, which is the return to the intake plenum downstream of the butterfly valve). Saves money and space. Only some V6 or V8 engines can benefit from a dual catch can, though a shared inlet on one can would provide the same benefit.
Hello Touge Time, Very Nice and clean install. All details and pipe/wiring routing look very nice. You set a standard many should follow....just clip the zip-tie at the battery positive. Thank you for your videos! Mr. P
I've been running catch cans for about 5000 miles (Radium) on my 2ZZGE and used to have a open catch can setup on on my old 18RG (Celica RWD). Looks petty good for amazon! Not sure if you did but you probably have - blue threadlock on those bracket bolts. LOOKS GOOD!
Pretty informative! Made me think about Putting one on my 1zz. Do you think one can would be enaugh? I'm not sure what hose i would connect it to to make it as efficient as possible 🤔
I notice your oxygen sensor is attached to the header. My understanding is the 2zz prefers the reading after the header on the mid pipe. Maybe your apexi compensates for this?
@@feral4mr2 yup the stuff coming out of the crankcase is very acidic (so I heard) and is better not put back into the oil as it may deteriorate the oil faster

On next episode: How To Install Accusump System
Install K motor
Good video! I cant wait to see if it actually solves the problem!
Isn't only 1 needed that 2nd line is vacuum going back in nah so only need to worry about the one going out?

Will have to keep this in mind, i knew the TPS had one of these but wasn't sure how important it was.

Good video, will just 1 oil catch can not work on the 2zz? If you only had one can which hose would you connect it to?
I'm surprised you didn't do the return to the oil pan like techno spirit car, considering how much blow by you had that one time at the track
It didn't lose much oil. I overfilled it
In my catch can experience the side with the actually pcv valve never needed a catch can
WHERE DID YOU GET THE DUAL BRACKET
Thanks for the instructions ;) Why do pliers always have the rubber broken like that!
Yo dawg. I heard you like oil catch cans. So I got you an oil catch can for your oil catch can.

If you are tracking it hard you need a baffled sump that is for sure. Otherwise you will kill the 2zz. You had a lucky escape in the last video.
I have moroso long ago
Don’t suppose you’re putting any thread locker on those nuts? Just wondering if the vibrations will work them loose?
I do love me some frog content

Naw. Ran fine regardless of ecu
Clean install
hi where oyu from?
2zz ? I thought you did a k swap after that, a couple months ago
Do you think a 1zz would benefit from a oil catch can too?
Yes. Any car would benefit as all cars have some blow by
Yes, 1zz also has a lot of blowby
Are you gonna put an oil feed back to the pan like grandpa tecky does
Ever seen the watery oil crap that comes out of a catch can? I wouldn't want that back running through an engine.

Do they catch much oil?
No I hardly have any blow by
Can i use these for my corolla xrs?
Any engine
I was going to use just 1 catch can but I think I'll order another one now I've seen this.
All your catch are belong to can
