Good review, except the very first test you did was not quite fair, as the camera in the middle would obviously have less movement than the cameras on either end of the fulcrum.
You would be better off with Osmo Pocket or Hero 7 Black. IMAGE QUALITY isnt as good as other cameras plus goto 9:39 and ask yourself why it has a serious jello effect with the rocksteady enabled. Not the best choice to purchase my friend.

Ha! I agree; I've had the x3000 for over a year; never use my gopro any longer. In comparing this review, the x3000 paired with the remote still cannot be beat for sound, low light, and stabilization (less crop). I was on the fence but his great review made me decide to purchase a second x3000!
So far you have the best review out there (and the most funny too haha) BUT you do miss a quite a few points. Everybody is talking about the lower price but don't point out the the Osmo Action doesn't have HDMI output, GPS, live-streaming to Facebook & TH-cam, 2.7k 120fps, timewrap. These are quite a lot of pros for GoPro compared to the Osmo Action. Yes the stabilisation is better than the, already awesome, GoPro's Hypersmooth but really DJI? 22% crop in 1080p? That's way too much crop to achieve that and a good marketing trick just to compete with GoPro. As you said the sharpness is so annoying, too bad you can't change it just like GoPro. Overall it's a great product but I will still keep on with my GoPro. Competition is good for products so let's see what will be the GoPro's answer in the future.
@@NorthernWayfarer-Alice I think there are cheap audio cables available where you can adjust the sound level. Of course not very hassle free solution but anyway.
Northern Wayfarer you can get a short inline headphone volume control for a few dollars. Plug that into the mic input on your X3000, adjust it about half way, plug your lav mic into that headphone volume control, and your volume will no longer be hot on your X3000. You are basically adding an adjustable gain control for the microphone. Or you can get an RX0, that has an adjustable gain control for the mic built in.
I’m not sure but I think the Sony will be realy noisy when you want to film mountainbiking, it sounded so crisp but the wind was loud and clear. although there didn’ seem to be that much wind. But like I said, I’m not sure because i don’t own one

Potentially making your GoPro purchase down from $379.00 to $279.00. The two cameras look extremely similar in nearly every way...think it's all going to come down to pricing. Again, great review!!

I literally just bought my new GoPro Hero 7 black the day DJI came out with the action cam, should I return the GoPro and get this ski action? I use it manly for videos with lots of movement(shaking), what you think?
still....... nothing beats the Sony FDRx3000. so happy with my purchase 3 years ago. Esp taking it shark diving in the Bahamas last year, couldnt BELIEVE the quality.
IMHO you shouldn't have held on to the mounting points on the Sony and GoPro units because it enhanced the vibrations while the DJI just received pivoting shakes from the bar that all three of them were on. 🤭✌️ Great video
I'm sticking with GoPro for action cameras for now. I love the Hero 7 compared to the older ones. The app seems to work much better. I like my DJI drones (Spark and Mavic Pro), but I find the apps are always buggy.

The Sony Mic quality is amazing
not much if you use it for motovlog or other outdoor "action". too much wind noises, the other 2 camera purposely muted the sound for that reason.

The sound from the Sony is noticeably noisier. It is a little blit cleaner after all, but I prefer the less noisy microphones from DJI and GoPro.

11:10 this is not how you do an audio test. You have to use the same exact footage for all 3 cameras. But good review either way.
