Johnny hockey is an amazing hockey player and even better person. My son picked him as his hero for a school project; he sent him a dozen questions and Johnny videotaped himself answering them and sent it back to my boys school. No wonder he won the Lady Byng award last year, super talented and a real gentleman.

Jennifer E. How can’t they pick it up by doing the Michigan. I play house and I can do that and twirl around twice before shooting it in the net. It’s not hard. I’m very surprised the pros couldn’t pick it up like that.

Well it was a challenging event.. Why make it easy. These guys should be able to do that.
Im actually a little shocked at how many guys couldnt put the puck on there blade. I know the time crunch probably makes it a lot harder to do but still. I was under the impression that just about everyone could do that lol

Pretty sure he gets respect. He and Calgary have to earn respect too, its not just given freely. Win a scoring championship, win a couple rounds at least. Until then he won't quite be at the Crosby, Stamkos, Ovechkin level echelon. Being the smallest player in the league thats probably the perfect event for him and his skill set in tight.
ilikemonkeys It's because he doesn't play for Chicago, Pittsburgh, or Toronto. It seems a player has to play for one of those three teams before they get any recognition.

At my international hockey camp in PA, in which bob hartley the former coach of the flames is the head of it, Johnny guedrau comes every year to visit and play with each age group, and a 16 year old kid deked the hell out of him in a scrimmage and he got so pissed he didn’t play with the other age groups. Moral: he is kinda a sore loser but he is very nice

this year they need to do something similar but without the light targets and the puck handlers have to use beer league standards equipment, 80 dollar skates, 100 dollar sticks, 50 dollar gloves and the equipment gets signed and donated
