That's not the reason why this kid gets booed, it's because this kid eliminated the Canadian team from medal contention and they can't get over it. You lost to a better team. There is no reason to boo anyone.

@ he got hit by a canadian player in a way that could have seriously injure him. Luckily nothing terrible happened to him, but the Canadian player got 5 minute penalty. Many Canadians then got angry because they didnt see a reason for such high penalty and started blaming Sikora for simulating. But the fact is that it doesnt matter if it hurt Sikora or not, the Canadian player got his penalty for the clear intent to injure a player. So Sikora is totally innocent, if anybodys fault its the referee, but I guess Canadians are dumb enough not realize this. I dont get it why they dont like Sikora now. Either be mad at the Canadian player who almost seriously injured someone or be mad at the referee for giving such high penalty, Sikora is innocent and actually lucky to not be injured…
@@jiriq8853 they were mad because Sikora looked up and didn't get up, instead he continues to lay on the ice. It was his thigh that hurt like a bitch, you cannot just stand up with that, his knee was luckily not affected at all. Still 5 mins correct call.

My man is lucky he's skating after that terrible foul (and yes, it really IS a major), but you hear THAT. What a disgraceful behaviour. dont like when shootouts decide a medal winner, but i fully understand why they do shootouts instead of extended OT and accept that they shouldn't change to appease certain people
that being said, this was a shootout worthy of being a medal game. absolute master class by both goalies.

Call me a psychopath if you want, but as a Czech, I have to say that the Swedes probably had the best team in the tournament. Especially their defense - that's exactly what the Czech national team could really use. The coordination between defense and offense was truly outstanding. I feel really sorry that they ended up without a medal.
Seems like the no-goal from Sikora was the happiest momment of this tournament for Canadaian fans. 🤣
Gotta say some of these Swedes have among the fastest stick handling I've seen.

Bot teams were equally good in normal time, while Sweeds outplayed us in overtime, where Hrabal in net was our best player. In shoot outs we´ve had more promisingly looking penalties. NonŠalént player Eduard Šalé shows that he is a real Captain:-)

We'll probably have a new Conservative government by May, but unfortunately the old guard at Hockey Canada that can't choose a good coach to save their lives will likely be around for a while. We're learning now that the Canadian coach never had practices between games because he was worried the players would get too tired.

When Canada played with Czechia in semi, Canadian player hit Sikora to knee. He got 5 minutes, but canadian profecional (I don't know him) said it wasn't a foul. Canadia lost to Czechia, and they blame the Czech player Sikora, because they think he simulated.
As a Czech person not even I would do such thing when we loose. I would cheer for the team we lost to so we lost to someone who wins. (So we don't loose for nothing) They should blame their team or referee if they are not satisfied or I don't know.

2 6’-6” goalies and they all try to go low .
I actually think going low was the better decision against tall goalies. You need to target the 5-hole, but not many players did. Literally, 2 of the goals were between the legs.
Truly can t stand the 3x3 overtime or shootouts. Does not let the best team win it allows best single player to win. Hockey is a team sports should be won or lost by a team playing till it's over.
With that said extremely well done by both teams here
But then you're taking a risk that the game might go on for an extra hour. Exhausting for the players, _and_ with the gold medal game scheduled later that evening, that could potentially mess everything up. These are the two reasons for shootouts.

It's a tournament, not a league, for God's sake, it's been set up like this for decades. I've been hearing this crap from those who lose since Nagano. They already had something to do to prepare the ice for the evening game. Crying Canada is looking for faults in completely different places than it should be, what other big (largest) country does this remind me of?
