It’s been more than 10 years since I’ve made a friend and I go weeks or months at a time without speaking a word. My social skills have degraded to the point where meaningful human interaction is impossible, but hopefully younger men can be caught sooner and saved from crippling loneliness.

Hello, my friend. Thank you for leaving this comment. Loneliness and isolation is real in men. And one of the best ways to treat it is with faith, which I'll talk about in an upcoming episode. Have you considered joining a church or another religious body and allowing yourself to be ministered to?

First of all if sombody would like to sochilays it would be best to go to a place were other people want to sochilyse to, waht thy are no clue. No mater the talent, its just an experience multieplyer, so withaut practis it amounts to nothing and if your people skill degraded to 0 you just have to start from there again, fun fackt somtime relearning is easier than learning.
Also for som reason it sounds as if you hav given up on your selv.
With faith be carfull since cullts and extremist nominachionchons can essentially work like ether behave and hav a certan mindset or im withdrowing emotional support z.b. J.W. Shunning former members that were babtisd. Secondly mega churches abuse the fealing of crowds to instill possibel harmfull belivs. And Lastly but not least before joinig pls. look if that religions scripture tells you to do awfull things or tells you in essence you are worthe more becouse of you beliving.(the last point coms for som reason as a proken ego across for me and thy have to fill that void somhow)

Thanks so much for this opportunity! I'm looking forward to the rest of this series, where we dig into the steps we ALL can take as men, to end our isolation forever.
If you know an isolated man (and there are many today) please consider sending him this video, and having him join us on the journey. Evan and I have worked hard to make it worth it.

@@magpul2099 Yes, some men do feel they need women's permission. Fortunately many women are ready to "give that permission," and we need to reach those women. They don't want to be "mommy" any more than we want them to be. But this is the reality we have to work with.

It's wild how many people I've brought this topic up with recently that all focus harsh blame on the men alone (shockingly so with women) and feeling that it's impossible there could be any societal influence as well. The mockery aspect is romanticized in a sense. Some even attack me as if I'm speaking only about myself, odd but I'm quick to re-deflect the focus of the debate back onto the subject and off of me (not interested in ad hominem attacks).
Speaking for men's health today genuinely offends a significant portion of the population. The perception needs more compassion and humanity - anything less has been shortsighted exploitative (and highly profitable) brainwashing against our best survival interests as a species in my opinion. It doesn't seem natural to wish ill will on half the species.

I like the term renaissance, as the last 20 years or so the social rules keep shifting and masculine behaviour is practically a dirty word.
The way I deal with is is straightforward, I associate, personally, with men who are similar to myself in some regard or other (we never agree on everything though).
Once a week I pop down to my local pub at lunchtime, exchange pleasantries with the barmen, and have a brief chat with anyone I know there or, even better, break the ice by asking how they know the barmen or if this is their local and so on.
Even thirty minutes a week is enough ensure I feel part of a male community, even if all my interactions from then on are virtual
PS My Son likes the place too

Ah, Fez, Morocco. I spent a few years living there from 2005-6 and 2007-9. First, studying Arabic there for 9 months, and then another year and a half there with my now ex-wife (whom I met while studying there) waiting for American immigration to approve her spousal visa to the U.S. Although I am a Muslim convert (since December 1990), I know what what you mean by not looking Moroccan and being a 6'+ pasty white guy with a ginger goatee. I never did he hammam experience, however.
