  • In this video I place extensive focus on the left traffic pattern to runway 22 at LaGuardia Airport and how departures are launched between arrivals. I'll integrate two air traffic control frequencies simultaneously so you can get a full-depth understanding of approach control and tower control. You'll see why I chose a seat on the left side of the plane by the end of this video.

Aviation comes alive with Peter's remarkable narration ! Enthusiasm, thy name is Peter Masella ! As the airliner takes off, our spirits also get elated, thanks to Peter's extraordinary narration and his elucidation on the nitty-gritty aspects of aviation. His brilliant descriptions enthuse us all, all the time. A 'human' touch is added to apparently routine taking-off, landing and cruising... there are so many diverse tasks that the pilots must, in a circumspect way, perform concomitantly...! Thanks, Peter, for yet another superb commentary throughout the flight ! We eagerly look forward to having many, many such elucidations !!!

LaGuardia with its unique spiritual essence created by the perpendicular design and the absurdly heavy traffic - Atlanta, LA, and even O'Hare is succumbing to conforming to being parallel while NY has 16 runways if TEB, HPN, and ISP are included - convinces me that the appropriate word for everything you showed and telled in this video that has been going on since 1949 is 'choreography.' It's one huge, efficient, beautiful dance. One routine that we had before they implemented the PARKE visual 14 months ago to commemorate the other NY team that did its duty by rightfully upholding the Curse of the Bambino in 1986 I dubbed 'the Poledance' because of the elegant way the left wingtip dropped on the Unisphere, gracefully swung around, and gently eased the wheels onto the numbers. Cue Yarbrough and Peoples. Only in New York.
