Bro I’ve timed it, it’s consistently it’s 11.6 seconds from the moment i let out the clutch to 60, it couldn’t do 7.5 if i was going downhill with a tailwind. It only has 148 hp and weighs 3500 lbs
If you watch the tach (rpm gauge), 20mph corresponds to ~3k RPM. You're shifting as soon as your hitting peak torque while still almost 2k rpm away from peak HP and you shift it completely away from the power band by doing. It's fine for daily driving but if you're racing around, you're lugging that engine hard.
@Logan Hawkins T.V. I have one and they are great woods rigs but shitty ass road rigs. Geared too low and 40 hp doesn't cut it lol quads make more than that
The escape comes with a Duratec dual overhead cam v6, the ranger runs a pushrod engine, hence it not revving very high compared to the double cam. They’re completely different engines.
@@Svhopowa The Duratec was made for FWD cars so you'd need to fab some parts to mate the motor to the trans of the ranger as well as motor mounts. There's probably much more needed than I'm saying here so you might wanna hit some forums.
I can honestly say the duratec v6 is head and shoulders above the Vulcan. Much more rev happy and better power delivery form sure. I've driven many vehicals with both Ford 3.0s and the 3.0 24v is much better!
About 7.5 to 60. That’s honestly not bad. It’s about the same as my considerably more powerful (but heavier) ‘97 Thunderbird

As long as you count really slowly it's 7.5 seconds lol!
Did you take 1st gear to 35? I usually take mine to 20 in take off and I thought it was a lil much
1st gear goes up to 40mph at 6,000 rpms in my 4.0

Didn’t think they could go over 60 by how slow they drive in the freeway but i have driven a 97 tacoma and I see why now they start vibrating a lot
And people call these gutless...
0-60 was 10 secs☠️

It took 5 minutes to get to 80 lol
is that top speed limited?
ive gotten up to 112 in my 2000 3.0 4x4 5 spd
I have a 2005 ranger 3.0 5 speed it's limited to 91 mph it's capable of a lot more
my 2000 3.0 5 speed 4x4 is governed to 98, lucky to get that fast unless down hill in 4th.
I’ve had my parents’ 2011 4 cylinder up to 115.
Would've thought it would have run a little faster than that.
2007 with the 2.3 looks about the same
Not fast but defd quicker than my 1990 with the 2.3
