I just got this, and I love it. Is so well made and feels really premium. Very expensive though for what similar jackets used to cost before the pandemic
I've been having troubles getting comfortable in Dainese jackets and getting the correct size, tried the long sizes and normal sizes, none of them is spot on. Been considering trying alpinestars to see if they have a different fit, this seems like a fantastic model to try. Great video as always Van's!
The best jacket ive ever purchased. A* is destroying the competition in innovation. Will there be new a* suits coming out this year? Waiting on new higher tiered suit releases!!
We have been told there are new ones on the way for the fall that will be compatible with the Tech Air 7x as well as the Tech Air Race Airbag Systems. Enjoy the new jacket! - Van
I swear by alpine☆ I have several jackets yall sold me on this with the Batman reference I have a flat black cbr 1000rr... I need this jacket for my darknight vigilante runs 😂
I have an ATEM V4 which unfortunately cannot accommodate a longer back protector but at most the Nucleon KR-1 that I have in size M. It is disappointing that Alpinestars only allows jackets produced after 2022 to have the possibility of using a long back protector. Forcing you to buy a new jacket for better protection.
This is one of the top level Alpinestars leather jackets in their catalog now. This, the Missile Ignition V2 and the GP Plus R V4 jackets are all excellent. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear Thank you! The Track V2 and Missile V3 Airflow are both perforated, right? Are the Track V2 higher quality than the Missile V3 Airflow and the better choice for the Atem V5 or is there no big difference?
The AA rating for the Adam V5 is because the Ride knit material on the lower forearms it does not have the same strength as Kevlar back stretch like the missile ignition V2 has
I expect we will see some 7x compatible jackets and suits in the fall from Alpinestars. I would not say this jacket is really "better" than the V4 rideknit. - Van
While I do not know this would be included in the product release I have been told Alpinestars will be releasing new suits and jackets that are compatible with the Tech Air 7x in the fall. Hopefully this is in that release. - Van
Currently debating atem v5 or gp plus v4 rideknit... anyone have any thoughts? Need a little looser fit due to my build but can't size up anymore because of arms length.
We really like both of these jackets a lot. I would go with the one you prefer the look of the most. Once you receive it make sure to wear it in the house long enough to know if you are happy with the fit before you ride in it. Both of these are very expensive so you want to make sure you are happy. - Van
Not so much on this product, but I'm looking at a 7x airbag and was curious what size suit you wear when riding with an airbag? I feel like we're very similar in size. Normally a 54, should I size up?
That really depends on how the jacket or suit fits you without the airbag under it. If the suit is already skin tight without the airbag then you will most likely need to go up a size. If it is an airbag ready suit even if it is tight it will be able to manage a deployment because of all the stretch panels built into the suit. What you want to avoid is the suit being so tight after you put the airbag under it becomes restrictive. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear gotcha. It's the RST pro that you guys sold a year or so ago. Still love it! It's a bit snug, but I'm hopeful it will be fine. Nothing a quick diet can't fix if it's too tight I suppose. I plan on ordering as soon as you guys get them back in stock. Thanks!
No, the Tech Air Race will not zip into this jacket. Alpinestars is coming out with new suits and jackets that will allow the Tech Air Race and new Tech Air 7x to zip in this fall. - Van
I do not know what they have planned for the Fall release at this time. The Fusion concept is pretty cool for sure so hopefully they do come out with a jacket to match the suit. - Van

If want something similar without a hump check out the Alpinestars GP Plus R V4 Rideknit Leather Jacket. Here is a link to it on our site: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/alpinestars-gp-plus-r-v4-rideknit-leather-jacket/
The 48 Euro is pretty small and about the smallest size that sells at a reasonable volume level. Anything smaller is hard to justify when producing motorcycle apparel. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgearI received it and it fits perfectly. I received the tech-air5 as well and it fits perfect under this jacket because of that hump. IMHO. 👍🏻
You can but personally I do not see the reason to do this. If they thought it was that important you can be assured their brand new jacket would come with Level 2 armor. - Van
Bro, you need to work on your shoulders and lats/Chest You gotta ad broadness to your frame, that jacket makes you look slanky and fragile. I know you’re racing but you gotta bulk up a bit.
Weighing more isn't good for motorcycles but you go right ahead and put on that weight, then wonder why your 1000cc lost 50 horsepower and turns like a bus.
Don’t listen to him Max. As a bodybuilder, I can tell you I perform much better on the track when I’m in a cutting cycle and down 15kg from by bulking weight.
Nothing wrong with being on the lighter side as long as you don't obsessively cut weight- he's obviously healthy and confident in himself, I don't see the problem
I've owned a lot of Alpinestar jackets including the missile V2 and this one is by far my favorite
Happy to hear you like it, enjoy your new jacket. - Van

Hey can you do a review on the alpinestars missile ignition V3 leather jacket?
We just shot it last week and should have it posted pretty soon. Just waiting on the video tech to get it edited up. - Van

Which Pants are the one to choose for this Jacket? The missile v3/v3 airflow?

how come the missile V2 have AAA rating while these (which looks to be more protection) is rated at AA? makes no sense for me.
We do not spend any time on the CE ratings for the garments as the riders here in the US do not put much stock in them. - Van
