Finally, a video from Alpinestars that shows how the thermal liner and the waterproof liner work together to form a protective system. Thanks MXstore for bringing this all together! I just wish the Bogota had Level 2 CE hip protection as standard and the jacket had Level 2 CE back protector as standard.
I have just bought the Bogota jacket and it’s a great fit, really comfortable, the only thing I would prefer is Velcro around the collar, I find the press stud a little awkward to snap in.
Pants appear to have a long inseam. When the pants are too long, knee protection is not positioned properly for shorter riders unless a short version is offered.
Thanks, great overview! I just ordered the bogota. Bought it for the longer motorcycle trips where you gotta be prepared for all types of weather. Love the attention on ventilation. Usually the ventilation on drystar jackets is just not enough imo..
I currently own the Andes V3 jacket and pants - awesome for 3 seasons road riding on my T7, but really hot when the temp gets above 25 degrees even with all the vents open. When I’m riding off road I wear the Venture R jacket and pants, which are amazingly comfortable, tough and flow a tone of air, the only downside for me is no abrasion protection on the road ride to the trails. Just wondering if the Venture XT kit is the answer for dual sport riding? The pants don’t seem to have any venting which concerns me about over heating. Or are there other pants I should be looking at?
Being that this jacket is a lighter option to target enduro riders that are looking for a bit more durability that is also going to cater for some light adventure riding it's not going to be as abrasion resistent as other jackets would be. As you're riding a split of more road than offroad we would recommend going for a jacket that is targetted for road riding with some dual sport capabilities
e @advidaho8643 The ones in the video are the Halo overboot pants. The bogata pants are a slimmer design, however they do still have that opening at the ankle
For me, the Halo jacket is an odd fit, and it’s great to see a manufacturer attempt a jacket like this, but it’s way too fussy and too much stuffing around to get the flexibility. I’m a simple man - vented jacket with cat 2 armour, and simply put a waterproof shell over the top.

Thanks for watching legend!
it doesn't have a back protector, at least the bogota pro v4 that I have.

That is great feedback and totally understandable, thanks for sharing Ray!
Press stud is more durable over time though.

Great video guys. It's always helpful to see the range and go over them ON the rider. - Cheers.
Stoked to hear you found it helpful Heath! 🙌🏼

Epic mate, hope you get good use out of it!

How good is the abrasion resistance of the venture xt? Would you recommend it in 70/30 road/offroad usage? Thanks in advance.

Great video but I have one question.
The Bogota pants, does the legs fit over and still fasten over tech 7 boots?
The Bogota pants are inboot pant, if you are looking for an over the boot pant we recommend the Venture XT or Halo Drystar 👌🏼
@@MxstoreAustraliathen are the ones shown with the Bogota jacket not the bogota pants? (worn over boot in the video)
thanks.

Thanks for the feedback Martyn 🙌🏼
Can you wear the waterproof inside the Bogota?
Yes!
Great review! How is sizing if you compare the Halo jacket with the Bogota jacket? (if you have tried the correct size yet)
Thanks Fredrik! They are similar in sizing, with the Halo having a tighter feel compared to the Bogata!
Great video!!
Thanks for watching!
What back protector fits the bogota?
The Alpinestars Nucleon KR-Celli Black Back Insert 🙌🏼
all great stuff and great reviews.
But the sleeves on the Halo are way to long ..
Thanks for the feedback legend!
it was mentioned in the video that the size was too big - the only one available for filming
Is the bogota and halo alpha sizing or euro?
Alpha 👌🏼
For heaven’s sake. Those are ‘pants’……not a ‘pant’.
Maverick waterproof jacket?
Unfortunately we don't have our hands on this one!
@@MxstoreAustralia thanks for the response!
No worries Jack, sorry we weren't able to help this time around!
