@@sportbiketrackgear I saw that video and I hope you checked your employees first before trashing a customer like that. Regardless I still wouldn't trash the customer publicly, it's just not professional.
Tried this on at my local Motorsports store in the black/white colorway and I'm not lying when I say it was the most comfortable motorcycle jacket I've ever worn, I didn't want to take it off. I'm 5'10 195 with an athletic build and a 54 was money!!! In the words of Wayne Campbell "it will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine", just maybe not this year, it's worth the money but it's still a lot of money.
I have been waiting for this jacket for some time now, the previous version, the v3 rideknit was not perforated (which in my book was a miss), but thankfully alpinetars listened to feedback and came out with this. I should actually receive mine tomorrow. Unfortunately I did not order from you guys as I am living in europe, but I really appreciate your work and videos

Thanks for the review. It helps a lot and I just bought this one. But I want to make a comment for your video’s color. Right now these red parts are looking really more darker red than how they’re really are. They’re more like orange in real.
Thanks for the detailed explanation. The new V4 are awesome jackets. I have been debating between the V4 non knit and knit versions. So the knit version looks like a perfect summer -leather jacket with ample airflow and i believe the non knit has a fabric which doesnt offer much airflow so its a bit"warmer" for summers ? Also how does the knit one do in temps 90-100 , i live in Nevada :)
In Nevada you want maximum airflow for sure. This jacket will move some air and keep you cool while you are riding. With leather you will get a little more heat with a lot more protection as compared to a mesh jacket. - Van
Would you consider this to be a “track worthy” jacket? I really want the ride knit, but am concerned I would get less protection being as how some of the padding is only CE 1. I don’t know what those levels indicate. Safety is my number 1 concern, comfort is the next priority.
Having ridden and crashed with only level 1 armor to this point I feel like it is more than adequate for the track. Most of the race suits that are out there now still use level 1. There is nothing with this jacket that would make me say it is not track worthy. - Van
How do the elbow protectors that this comes with compare to, say, the Nucleon Flex Pro? Both are CE Level 2, but the the Nucleon Flex Pro are of a much lower profile. It'll probably be more comfortable, but will it provide the same protection?
Hi Van, would you recommend purchasing this jacket at $400 or the Atem v4 jacket at $260? I'm looking to wear it on the street and semi-long rides, which one would be more comfortable?
It is super hot in Texas. If I were street riding there I would use a full mesh jacket with a back protector insert for summer riding. I feel like a leather jacket would be too much in the full summer heat. - Van
@@sunilk_89 someone replied in a TH-cam short about the tech air-7 he said he rides his super moto (upright bike) in the tech air 7 and it’s fine. I imagine he’s tucking the extra little part into his pants so it’s not flapping in the wind.
You can use the Tech Air 7X in the vest configuration with any jacket that is tech air ready (like this one) or any jacket or suit that has the additional space to manage a deployment. - Van
Yes, you would have to wear the 7x under the jacket as a vest. We have been told that there will be new suits and jackets this fall that will allow the 7x to zip in. - Van

Would having the Nucleon or Plasma back pad effect the fit? IE would it make the race fit even tighter or would the stretch panels take care of that?
The back inserts do not really take up very much volume so I do not feel they have any real impact on the fit. - Van
Would you consider this to be a “track worthy” jacket? I really want the ride knit, but am concerned I would get less protection being as how some of the padding is only CE 1. I don’t know what those levels indicate. Safety is my number 1 concern, comfort is the next priority.

Can you recommend a summer jacket that has zipper cover of some sort? I don’t want my tank getting scratched up.
Any of the quality jackets on the market are designed to not scratch your tank. Stay away from the no name Amazon stuff and you will be ok. - Van
How do the elbow protectors that this comes with compare to, say, the Nucleon Flex Pro? Both are CE Level 2, but the the Nucleon Flex Pro are of a much lower profile. It'll probably be more comfortable, but will it provide the same protection?
In theory if they are both level 2 the protection should be either the same or very close. - Van
Спасибо за подробный разбор. У Вас интересный и полезный канал. Куртка классная! Катаю в такой.
What is the benefit of Ridenit over Airflow besides the 100-dollar price increase in the Ridenit?
It is an overall better stretch fabric offering more airflow, comfort, protection and style. - Van
Hi Van, would you recommend purchasing this jacket at $400 or the Atem v4 jacket at $260? I'm looking to wear it on the street and semi-long rides, which one would be more comfortable?
Looks good quality. Nick
This is an excellent jacket as it should be considering the price. - Van
What Size do you recommend for a guy 5‘7 and 143 pounds? 48 or 50?
Thanks
I would go with the 48 Euro. - Van
Can we get a jacket options video for naked bike riders?
IMO jackets are pretty universal from a sportbike to a naked bike. This one would be great on either. - Van
Will this zip together with my Dainese delta 3 leather pants or do I then have to take it to a seamstress? Thanks guys
You would need to take this and have the other half of the zip on the jacket sewn to the pants. I would not expect they will zip together. - Van
It's this a good hot weather jacket? I'm in central Texas and my klim is just not cool enough anymore for the Texas summer heat.

@@sportbiketrackgearthanks, Van. Definitely tried on the leather and decided against it pretty quick.
I'm 200 pounds, 6'1, muscular, which size should I order if I want to be able to wear a hoodie underneath in winter ?
If you want to wear a hoodie under it in the winter you would need a 58 Euro IMO. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear Thanks with 43.5'' chest I think I'll go for 58 Euro to have room for a potential airbag in the future.

Can this fit the new Tech Air 7x or would it not be recommended since the 7x is longer than the 5?
