Zack Lance Have you ever played one? Does it live up to the hype? Certainly sounded cool at the Thee Oh Sees show I went to 5 or 6 years ago, but I rarely see other bands play ‘em.
@@chadlong1109 I've got an EGC Standard. Fragile is most certainly not the word I'd describe it with! It sounds very much like a regular guitar, albeit with more sustain and a bit more zing to it, especially with new strings. Mine has coil taps for the humbuckers using push-pull pots which allows you to get a very thin metallic sound out of it. The guy in the video has the p90-looking single coils that I kind of wish I'd ordered as I do like the bite they give, but I guess I have a bit more versatility. The thing that I'd warn people about is that the neck is THIN. It took me a long time to adjust to the neck but I do love it now. Any other neck feels like I'm grabbing a tree now.
Neil Moffat What kind of neck shape does it have? I’ve got fat sausage fingers and those thin, tall Ibanez style necks have almost always played wonderfully for me
