In 2018 I was an over the road truck driver and was sitting in a traffic jam listening to the Brutalism album loud AF with my driver's window down. There was a guy in the left lane that kept getting stuck sitting beside me on and off and he could hear Idles on my radio. I eventually excited and pulled into a fuel station to wait out the traffic jam and the guy followed me, got out and asked who it was I was listening to, saying it was the best thing he'd heard in years and just had to know.
That's how good the Idles are!!!
This guys and Black midi give me hope for the rock in the 20’s that are almost here

Stick The Branch they just have two LP’s which are both really good so I think it would be cool to start with one of the albums or by hearing their greatest hits like “Out of the Black” or “Fig it out” for example yeah they are just two guys one drummer and one bass player but their sound is beautiful
You should also check out Girl Band and Daughters I think you'd like em!

Yeah, I remember the other KEXP performance IDLES did, and Joe was looking like a deer in headlights when it came to the bit of Danny Nedelko where he was meant to spell a swear word and realised he wasn't allowed to.

1049 Gotho is still THE most powerful song I've ever scream-sang at a show...this band is something else man...that's all I'll say...they're doing something magical...and infinitely important and necessary in this current time...
Most impressive thing is the drummers' glasses stay on through the whole set.
As a drummer I just automatically take them off before every session.

Proud to say I was here! My dad and I, as well as our friend, came and saw these guys for my dad’s birthday.
Words are not enough to express the sheer joy and love these guys bring this old man right here.
I saw them on Late Night this week and am binge watching. This old 54yo is late to the party.
I am so happy just watching them.
So much passion and attitude with a dose of humor and they just straight up rock.
This made my year. Rock music is alive because of Idles.
The drummer looks so much like Lawrence Sonntag and it always throws me off.

I've been to hundreds of shows in the last 20 years. I just saw Idles live... never seen anything that comes close to how overwhelmingly positive the experience was. Best show I've ever seen. If you get the opportunity, check them out!

They're coming to my home town Columbus Ohio in a couple weeks and I haven't been this excited for a show in my life, and I've been to literally hundreds! Teeny tiny venue too, can't believe it!!!

I was amazed with the first perfperformance but this blew me away !
Idles combines the sound of Joy Division, Black Flag , and a bunch of punk rock and post punk music. This one of new bands to watch out.
