Also I've seen two Ecoboost motors have to be replaced both were in service vehicles for a local shop and were driven very hard and it went to 300k miles, pretty impressive for a service vehicle that gets. Driven by a bunch of different people who drive it like a bat out of hell.

That’s why you do research and never buy first generations upon release. I’ve had 4 fords in my life and all of them made it 200,000 miles minimum except for one at 170,000(tranny went out and I had to change it but to be fair it was frequently hauling)
@Noah I drive one on a daily basis. it’s got a 25 gallon tank and it gets 12-13 city and touches 16 on the highway. Last time I towed my Jeep a few hundred miles on a flatbed it got 9mpg the whole way doing 70mph.

But its a nissan rogue CVT, so its not going to tow anything over 1000 lbs. Or even less since a hill can change the apparent weight and render this small payload capacity even smaller. And i doubt anyone wants to pop their cvt belt.

The way he’s standing at the beginning those trucks look like they are RC cars in the thumbnail until I realized he was standing on the wheels and not behind them.
It’s not all about sound. In terms of off road performance the Ford wins in every way. Approach and departure angle, suspension, tires, MILEAGE-so many people overlook the importance of gas mileage off road. Ok 700hp is cool but you will never use 700hp off road especially on 35s. 500 is more than enough. The exhaust sounds great in the ford, and honestly if you want something louder just get a corsa exhaust. Just my two cents.

I’ve owned all the major brands but I’m loyal to Ford have 2 trucks now. My 2003 & 2004 f250s (7.3) lasted over 800k miles original engine no major repairs. No other truck has came close both my 150s had over 360k my 2 now one has 5000 miles and the other 187k both running strong. Only problem I had was my 06 with the 5.4 flex fuel they had bad timing chains mine went out at 161k bought an upgraded motor with the problems fixed put another 160k miles on it. There’s a reason Ford has been the best selling truck 50+ years
After a long time of sitting here and weighing my options between the two I have concluded that I can afford neither
