    Gotta say, favorite part of this dude's channel and fishing, is seeing the care he takes with the animals and then making it a point to release them.
    imo, folks can catch whatever they want, but if you've no intention on eating it, be gentle and release it :)

    Such a pleasure watching your videos John. You enjoy your fishing immensely but you take care of our god given creatures, so whether you want to take them home or not, all fish are treated with care & respect. Those you return to the sea are returned so that you can see they get away okay, not just 'chuck & leave'. Just a joy to watch, you have NO idea how far into the night I watch your videos until I realise the hour. Cheers, Don from South Aust.

    Plus 1 for LOVING Sea Bass. My favourite course fish has always been the majestic Perch, such attitude filled, little fighters, and, to me, the Bass is the Perch of the sea. And by 'eck the Bass taste mighty fine too! Your record Bass is a pure slab of awesome silver.
    But that Smooth Hound, what an absolute stunner. I know Dog Fish can be a pain, but they are amazing looking (and tasting!!!) fish, but that Smooth Hound really had me wow'd!

      Roibeard O'Loughtnain - Thanks Robert. Really pleased the video came out well and it’s good viewing. I’ve said it many times, you can catch big fish on small hooks, but you can’t catch small ones on big hooks. - unless they’re dogfish. They’ll take anything 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤣

    Great post, I went to South Devon at the same time you fished this mark. Wanted to catch hounds, should have stayed at home. Cut my teeth on the rock marks either side of that beach some years ago (not disclosable). Back in the day a small eye was treated as a catch on a parallel with a doggy but they are a good fish to land today. As you say the tide runs fast there and it is very popular with surfers who seem to have little understanding of what we do.

    • @TheFishLocker
      @TheFishLocker  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jamie Falla - Hi Jamie, Thankyou very much. Glad you liked it. Bare basic explanation, the my version of the up and over rig gives you a sliding ledger rig with a longer hooklength. The “pulley dropper” isn’t really a pulley in that respect. The lead is fixed. And the hooklength is shorter.
