    This brought back memories. I could smell the fried food over by the rides, the smell of salt air and wood, the gum that stuck to the boards that people spit out. What a time

    does anybody else remember the large in-door merry-go-round? I remember this for some reason. it was probably taken away in the 90's at some point. I went to the Sawmill 2-weeks ago and a huge pizza was $37

    Are you sure this wasn't 1994. I remember they got rid of the Zipper in 94 and replaced it with a ride called Evolution. Then it came back again in 1998. I wish Seaside brought back their good rides like the Zipper and real Log Flume.

    • @csideparknj
      @csideparknj  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +mrwrestlingtape1 yep 95. i date them when i make them. i know the zipper was gone for awhile, then returned in 98 or 99.

    • @Nonsense1986
      @Nonsense1986 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was definitely 1998. I was there in March 98 when they tore down the Log Flume and when I came back in the summer the 2 boardwalks were exactly the same with rides and they brought the Zipper back. Seaside really needs the Zipper back dam it!

    Wow. Incredible 90's footage. Thank you! Water Works video is rare. I loved that park. I swear the two vertical speed slides were more intimidating than Summit Plummet in Disney World despite being shorter, mostly because you overlooked the ocean and the Casino Pier rides. The Super Twist slides were an experience I never found at any other water park. The corkscrew enclosed slide was my favorite. It may have been one of the shorter slides in the park, but it was dangerously fast. You don't happen to have more footage of Water Works, do you?

    Do you remember a ride featuring Michael Myers (from 'Halloween')? I don't remember much, but the duration of the ride was in pitch black. At
    certain points during the ride, random spots would light up and show
    someone getting stabbed/killed. At the very end Michael Myers pops out.
    I've been trying to find any info/pics on this forever..it's driving me crazy! :)

      You might be talking about Nightmare Manor. That was the haunted house ride at the end of Casino Pier. There were a bunch of disfigured mannequins that would light up and move slightly as you rode past them. Nightmare Manor was the precursor to Stillwalk Manor, which ended up in the ocean during Hurricane Sandy.

      @@csideparknj I actually have a ton of video of Seaside in the early 90's. I practically grew up there when I was younger. My parents, too when they were younger (and still go). I would go down there all-year round. We mostly stayed at the Hershey.
      Right after Sandy and after the Fun Town Pier burnt down, I was coming back from AC and decided to stop at Seaside to take a look. I was absolutely devastated. All of my memories started coming back to me all at once and I'm not ashamed to admit it, but I cried. When I left, I took 35 home and was depressed to see how it looked.
