Wine Cellar, when on the rooftop bar, always felt like I was gonna fall through. They did a good job rebuilding Casino Pier. I like the giant ferris wheel facing the street. You can see it from the 37 bridge at night. Funtown is now a byob beach with a dj. Don't know if they will rebuilt it. Pool club on the boardwalk is nice. Im not a member, but the bar is cool. Boulevard is in transition to condos and coffee shops. What a bore. Miss the old club days. Good times! Thank you.
I lived in Seaside during the 90's, this is a trip down memory lane. Thank you for recording this when you did, and further more, Thank You for sharing this with the rest of us. Brought out some old emotions in me, the sights and sounds, I can almost make out the smells while watching your vids. Keep them coming!
Great video!!! I Love seeing the older days of SeaSide!!! Its still my favorite place on the Jersey Shore!!! And not far from home!!! Bring on more older videos when you find them!!! Thanks, Rich
Wow I grew up in NJ ....I remember spending my summer there in the early to mid 80's...The Van Halen Music blasting from the game stands....Just not the same anymore...
Back when Seaside Heights had good rides. I wish they used that early 90s boardwalk format for their rides so I would be more inclined to go on them again.
+Ron Henry Hi Ron. I'm 29 and I have been going down the shore every summer since 1988, and my parents have been going since 1974. I go to Ocean Beach Unit 2 in Lavalette for a week and sometimes come back for a few days at a hotel in Point Pleasant. However, last year my father had trouble going on with his job so we had to cancel our beach house and only did a few days at Point Pleasant. Anyway, I have fond memories of the classic rides from when I was a kid. I remember the real Log Flume on the South side and was so disappointed when they closed it after the 1997 season. I went down the shore for a day in March 1998 and saw them tearing down the Log Flume and they made the 2 sides of the Board Walk exactly the same which was lame. I also remember when they got rid of the Zipper and Kamikazee after 1994. However, they brought back those classic rides in 1998. They have now been going since at least the mid 2000s. I also remember the real Jet Star. We had Force 10 the spinning ride. That ride called Evolution which spun people upside down. The one loop rollercoaster which has been gone since Sandy. Do they still have the Pirate Ship? I also remember Water Works was pretty cool and then sometime around 2003-2005 they remodeled it and it has sucked since then. I really wish Seaside brought back the Zipper, Kamikazee and the Log Flume. Anything else would be a plus but those 3 rides are a classic. I remember the Log Flume had a cool rule too. Like you paid $3 for the first ride, and could stay on a second time for another $1. I really wish Seaside Heights would improve their rides and listen to my suggestions.
+Ron Henry Another thing I remember was the Sling Shot which debuted in 1998. And in 1992 and 1993 they had bungee jumping. I assume they got rid of that fast due to it being dangerous. But it was cool watching that as a young 5-6 year old kid.

The nostalgia is surreal.. What was the name of the old haunted house at 4:43 on Casino pier? It's impossible to find anything about it online!
it was later converted into stillwalk manor. in this video, i dont know the name.

Ron Henry stilt walk manner was a creepy ride the only really scary part of the ride was on the second floor of the ride fire crackers would go off
