Fantastic video 👏 super soundtrack and love those Seddon Atkinson truck a real workhorse of British haulage thanks 👍🇬🇧
Thank you, Mark, as always my friend 🧡
Orange ERF at 07:10 into video was taken at O berth in Avonmouth Dock, Bristol. ⚓️🦈. All them red cranes have since been demolished now.
The Les baston truck cool truck wonder if he's still trucking
Not many of today's star drivers could drive these old girls
So many great British Lorries. Funny really. The Japanese killed off British cars and motorbikes but the Scandinavians killed off British trucks.
Yardley's ERF @ 04.18. I drove that wagon on a couple of occasions when i worked at Yardleys in the early seventies. It was powered by a Gardner 180 matched to a David Brown 6 speed box.I think Kenny Felton and then Harry Hawkins were the regular drivers at the time.
Thank you for sharing your memories and thoughts with us all
Used to drive for a Devon based company called Stoford transport, they've been gone a good 25 years + now, i keep looking to see if you have any pictures of there trucks but haven't seen any yet.
Hi john, check out the older videos, my friend
More great pictures, noted the Taylor Barnard F88's with red chassis and wheels. Used to be black in later years and when they hauled out of CWS Lowestoft.
Thank you 😊 🙏 Keith for sharing info and injoying the video my friend 🧡
Problem was Leyland trucks made money, the car side didn't so the trucks had to top them up,hence no investment for Leyland, what happens when government get there sticky hands on British industries.
Very true 👍 edward
In the 70’s as a young paperboy on a main trunking route. I could always tell if a Gardener powered Atkinson was coming up behind me. Good memories when trucks all looked different. All look the same these days
Very 👍
I drove a 401 for years ,brilliant bit of kit, lovely motor to drive!
Love your videos and soundtrack spotted a ford transcontinental loved going down to Trafford park with my dad to drop the truck off and come back home on the handle bars of my dad's bicycle ❤ 70s ❤ thanks 👍
Would like to see the 1970s man diesel truck sleeper cab version
Hi Mark will see what can do.
👍👍👍
Keep em coming, I spend ages looking at the pictures.
Thank you.Peter 😊 🙏 😊
Another great collection of photos from a time gone by , hard days but happy days
Thank you 😊 🙏 Alex
A great gallery! Exactly forty years ago I worked for Leggett Freightways on their night trunk driving a SedAk, starting at 11pm from Chingford, changing over with the Glasgow driver at 3am on Charnock Richard Services, leaving at 3.45 back to Chingford, five nights and Sunday every other week. No problem outbound but always over hours on the return!
Good company, good vehicle, great work! CB radio helped keep trunkers awake😊
Thank you 😊 🙏 glad you injoyed watching 👀 the video and thank you for sharing your memories ❤️

Good old days great pics 👏👏👏👌
Thank you paul 🙏 😊
All those 'Sed Atks', I had the mispleasure of driving one 40 years ago. Worst pile of crap ever. Ended up in hospital with Chronic Pneumonia, simply because the so called heating was rubbish....
I had the mispleasure as you put it. Of working on them !!!. I fixed quite a few of them in my time.
Brilliant 👍
Thank you, Glen. I'm happy 😊 that you enjoyed watching the video
