Funny how I look at an A registration and still think "that's a newish wagon" when the reality is that its getting on forty year old! I bet I'm not the only one either?! I recall seeing some of those companies and even one or two of the wagons from back when i was riding with my old feller back in the seventies & early eighties, he got his first F88 Volvo in late 1969, air operated wipers with the air motor & linkages above the dashboard as well as the coolant header tank inside the cab above the bunk on that first one, as a driver he loved those F88 & F89 Volvos and had an almost encyclopedic knowledge of who had what and what type of haulage they used and operated them on, would love to have been able to have shown him your videos. Once again super job, thanks for sharing this video with us!👍
Brilliant montage of old school Haulers. Love the Ferrymasters Scammell 😊 It’s strange how one or two photos take you back to a rough and ready era without the pressure of mobile phone ,Tacos, Satellite tracking , Cameras, just in time , bla bla, a big shout out to all the fitters who must have been bombed out fixing all these worn out and abused wagons.
Hi recently I’ve been looking on the internet for any pics of a tanker it was yellow with cawoods written in black I used to love going out to work with my dad in the six weeks holidays
Richard Read,, Edwards Transport were only a few minutes drive from us, both gone now. mike Prosser was the transport manager at Edwards, and my cousin Margaret worked for Edwards as pay clerk.

Thank you, They were all somebody's hopes and dreams and somebody's nightmares, Some made it, some were gobbled up by bigger fish, and some had to run 24hrs a day but just would,nt make it, Sad.

You forget just how many F86 Volvos were around. Great motors, David Rees in Liverpool had one.
