    Thanks so much for posting this video, the steps from 04:00mins have helped me resolve an issue with my FD, the chain was rubbing on the inside of the FD when moving up the cassette e.g. from around 6th gear towards 1st. Now I have sufficient gap between the chain and the FD, and no more chain rub. 👍👍

    Thank you so much. I successfully adjusted my Sram Force Etap with Ultegra cassette, crank and chain by watching your video.

    Thanks! Is it worthwhile doing a troubleshooting guide if your Sram Force etap sometimes drops the chain frame side?

    Great explanation! I have a question about a front derailleur clamp which I need to mount the derailleur. I bought the original SRAM clamp and it seems to have a shape that should be flush with the detailleur but it isn't, do you have any experience in mounting a SRAM Force derailleur with a clamp? Maybe I have bought the wrong clamp or maybe it shoudn't be flush, I'm confused...

    One question, not necessarily related to the set up. Does the mech cage wiggles a fair bit on the pivot point? Mine does, I am not sure whether it was like that before or it’s due to a recent impact taken

      Depends on how much you are wiggling. I just experienced the same thing. I have a very wiggly Rival. Grabbed a new used Force and it's substantially less, I then grabbed a new Force and it still has some slop to it. I'd recommend going to a shop and checking one of theirs.

    Great video thanks, any thoughts on if possible to repair a snapped cage on the SRAM force etap mech without needing to replace the whole thing? (Wish had watched this earlier).

    Hello I have been following your video
    I have a question I'm building a bike same component on this video. I installed the rear derailleur to the hangger , but the smallest teeth in not line up to the rear derailleur it was on 3rd teeth from the lowest gear I also adjusted the upper bolts for adjustment...note I'm using a oversize pulley..so the pulley teeth is not line up to the smallest gear it was on 3rd teeth from smallest..pls advice...thanks

    can you replace a damaged / non working sram etap red front dr for a force or rival 12 speed front dr ?

    Hi, many thanks for this (and the others) your videos are superb and really help us in the workshop.
    Could I just ask, what is the relevance (if any) of the line-up mark at the front? You mention lining up the rear mark with the big chain mark, but there is a front mark also, which seems like it must be there for a reason?

    I dont really understand why sram doesnt release an updated for the front derailleur to autoadjust according the rear gear. Is not normal to stay on the same position when you have 2/12 and 2/2(or 2/1). But very clear video 👌

    First!
    Is that yhe frame that you painted?,if so it's come out well. How's the etap weight compared to ultegra.

    • @FreeToCycle
      @FreeToCycle  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same frame! Not sure on the overall weight difference, I will try and weigh the components see what the difference is!!

      The sram etap force is heavier than shimano 105 . Ultegra DI2 is the same weight as Ultegra Mechanical.

    Do you know if the front derailleur can be programmed to work with 11 speed Sram Red etap, I can’t find a FD to complete my groupset thanks in advance

      SRAM eTap AXS is not compatible with 11 speed eTap shifters!

    Hi , currently i have an ultegra r8000 rimbrake groupset on my bike . I’m thinking of buying the sram force 12 speed upgrade kit with f/r derailleurs and shifters . Can i maintain the ultegra chainrings ? If i want to buy the force chainring do i need to change the bb ? I have the bb86 i think installed . Thanks

    • @FreeToCycle
      @FreeToCycle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will need to change the crankset and bb.

    Mine drops chains every ride..garbage..selling and going back to Di2

      It’s not properly adjusted if that is the case.

    • @Brownbeltforever

      Mine works very well. No issues at all. Great to have 2 batteries if I forget to charge them. I think the simplicity of the system is better than DI2.. I have both systems one on road, other on gravel.
