@@teevee2145the 2.4 is non interference with the pistons contracting the valves. The only reason it would have valve damage, is if the belt broke at high RPM’s. The valve would overlap each other.
I have a 2007 pt cruiser put a new crank , crank sensor ,cam sensor and new belt in it . lined up the crank and cam pulleys twice car starts right up but idles rough and engine tester says that the crank and cam sensors are not lined up right error code p00216. what am i doing wrong
Now usually if the crank is advanced the engine run rough but be more peppy if it's retarded then it will run real smooth but have poor power so I would think if it was me I would put everything in line Then loosen up the tensioner moved the crank gear back one tooth try that and see what happens it won't hurt your engine
I accidentally separated the pulley from the bracket. Is there anything I'm supposed to when bolting both back together?
What is the mileage/ time requirement fro replacing the timing belt ? I assume that the 2.4 is an interference engine. Thanks
It's a non interference engine. Based on 12000 miles a year it should be replaced at 102000 miles or 8 years. Thank you for watching
@@NobleAutomotive pretty sure it is interference
It is an interference engine, and replacement time is a 102000 miles
@@NobleAutomotive 120?? They have schedule a and b

Now when I say back I mean counter clockwise one tooth
sorry the error code is p0016
could you call me at 304=691=9338 please
would a bent valve cause a p0016 code
How did he manage to do the job without evacuating & disconnecting the A/C system line?!😲
It's been a while since I've done this video. And I don't really remember any kind of issue with AAC getting in the way.
If you can't make your own marks your pretty much screwed factory marks are a joke if belt broke good luck
Yikes
