That's the only problem with head gaskets is it can ruin the motor quick. People tend to keep driving the vehicle when the head gasket gets blown and then want to sell it cheap and say blown head gasket when it needs a whole motor most likely so they can only get what the car is worth with no motor lol. Head gaskets are just to iffy to buy when that's the issue because this perfect video of showing why and people lie about when it happened to just get rid of the car for some money.

Pretty sure I have same problem. How much for a rebuild approx? Could have cracked block also not certain. Got it barely running today antifreeze coming out of exhaust lots of white smoke. Bought it for 1k-5 years ago. Lots of newer parts. Alternator, starter, radiator, fan, battery. Junkyard? Or rebuild or maybe some head gasket fix seal? Idk what to do. Also cloudy, milky oil. Please advise. Very good video

Thank you so much for this video! I'm having to replace the head gasket on my 2004 PT Cruiser and do it by myself..so I've been studying everything under the hood, from A to Z learning every system, part, hose, belt, fan etc..and the functions of each one. I'm watching your video over and over again to get more familiar w the process for now..once I'm more confident I plan to use your video and start the disassembling process. I'm renting tools from Advanced Auto and teaching myself every little thing I need to know..I plan to clean all the parts and flush the hoses, etc..do you have any tips for me or advice? Is/are there any equipment or tools or other products I could get hold of to make the job better or easier? And besides a floor jack, is there anything else that's essential that I'll need? Besides tools. I know I need to get a magnet as well. Thank so so much again! You're pretty easy on the eyes so watching you on repeat is NOT a problem, lol

One thing should mention is there is two reasons the head gasket on PT Cruisers failed very early in a lot of cars was 1. The cylinders are way too close too each other , and 2. The heads were warped and not machined right coming out of the plant , that is why there were complete failures at 45.000 miles ,
