Description from Porter Robinson:
Shelter tells the story of Rin, a 17-year-old girl who lives her life inside of a futuristic simulation completely by herself in infinite, beautiful loneliness. Each day, Rin awakens in virtual reality and uses a tablet which controls the simulation to create a new, different, beautiful world for herself. Until one day, everything changes, and Rin comes to learn the true origins behind her life inside a simulation.

In America, Thanksgiving is coming up but I think everyone can get into the spirit of giving thanks this season. Wether it be to your parents, friends, or that one guy who lent you a dollar, a little appreciation can go a long way. With that in mind, I think this is a really good time to cover such a lovely song by Porter Robinson and Madeon. Porter had put out Sad Machine before this featuring Avanna (thought it was Oliver srry lol) which made me suspicious of wether or not he was a weeb like me. Now that he's teamed up with A1 Pictures to make a legit AMV for his new song, it's for sure. And I love it.

It's like page's going by in a book of life, we're born then later on in life we die leaving the people we loved and my Rose (that was her nickname) wouldn't want me to give up. So when i'm knocked down, i come back stronger like she'd expect of me.

And this theory is supported in Shelter's lyrics "I'll give them shelter, like You've done for me". The word "Them" itself explain everything. So maybe her father also gave her mission that's not explained visually in Shelter's MV due to emotional focus of the MV's.
But, those sad theory of everlasting dream can be true tough. Since Porter's works never related to eachother. And would give more emotion jab through your chest.

I came here after re-watching Assassination Classroom... This was the worst and best course of action. The feels... Ouch... It's like the verses were from the view of Korosensei as a teacher whilst the pre-chorus, speech and chorus were from the view of a Class E student. Even knowing the true story of Shelter, adding on with the tragic yet meaningful moral of Assassination Classroom, this is already so emotionally sad. Altogether, everything just creates one heck of a emotional rollercoaster with a finish you can't and don't want to process. And as a result, this song remains one of my favourites.

I think it is a good thing that this isn't going to be an anime, because the fact that it is so short is what makes it beautiful. (watch gikkuk's vid about it and you will understand that it is better this way)

One of the things I don't like is that you used autotune for the singing. It's okay for the parts like 1:58 but the autotune for the singing isn't really appealing to me... Sorry but it's not fitting for a piano cover. However, other than that, I like the cover and the echoing voice, the piano and video. I also like the sudden silence at 3:02 and flashback and the speaking after that. I'm not trying to hate or anything. I just don't like the autotune.
Also I LOVE THE SAD MACHINE AT THE END!! OMG THAT MADE ME DIE A LITTLE ON THE INSIDE ESPECIALLY WITH THE ECHO AND NO MUSIC AND RIN IN SPACE!!

Vocally trained, she has a 3+ vocal octave and has been performing & singing 'live' onstage since young. So what you hear is more a combination of her vocal style and her unique voice. Juby has no need to use auto-tune but she does have to use a touch to mix her voice with the instrumental of a recording---or if there is need for an effect or to fit the original musical style. ;)
