I love her interpretation in “cry while listening to Vocaloid”! The counterpart in the original version means “cry while listening to strange (or weird) songs” I guess if you translate it word by word. But she changed the “strange songs” to “Vocaloid”, like made it more specific. I. Love. That. It reminded me of my school days.

at first i was confused by the use of the word "evil" in this song but when you think of it it makes sense. its not "evil" in the sense you'd immediately think. i take it to mean that they are both misunderstood, that others might call them "evil" but thats not who they are. they are lonely outcasts, i think thats what the word in this song's context means. anyways i love this song, i've been listening to it but i haven't commented yet i dont think so i figured it would. your voice is amazing.
Kryssie Mango Yes! I actually thought of this too. After listening to it on repeat for a while, I just kinda felt that “evil” was used to portray them as “not good” and “out of the norm”. Great insight!
The term evil might relate to their mental health as well: during the song it's clear that both of the characters are not fine and going through a hard time (if not mentally ill), during those phases in life people can get kinda egoistic and easily irritable which might make them look and sound like "evil", as the song says; also, irritability and such are common symptoms in mental illnesses like depression. This to say that they don't want to be mean and that, finding themselves in the same situation, her partner is able to understand her and her pain and see over that "evil facade" knowing well that she actually means no harm and is seeking for help.

the japanese wording for it is "warui hito" which literally translated to "bad human" or "bad people" which can mean "evil", but I take it as them being bad at conforming to the norms of "normal people"

I’m not sure if you want to hear this or what I say will help, but my friend died three years ago and I found bittersweet comfort in this song. I can’t imagine how you’re feeling and what’s on your mind, but know it was never your fault or if there was anything you could do to stop her. One day, even though it feels you really won’t, you’ll heal I promise and things that remind you of her won’t hurt anymore and instead will remind you of fond memories with her. I’ve only recently started to heal, because just moving forward left the constant thought of them in my head. I really only came back to this song because these days I’ve dwelt in thoughts of them and how things could’ve been so different, something I suppressed for those years while “ grieving “. This song is so incredible. I love the use of the word evil. I have social anxiety and have basically been an outcast for my entire life. Nobody ever talks to me and even though I don’t think I’ve done anything wrong, often times I feel like I’m the evil one since people always judge me for being quiet and avoid me. I just wish I could find someone too . Someone who truly understands me. So that I don’t die alone in this meaningless world.

this song means so much to me, because when i was having a hard time with depression over quarantine, an old friend from 7th grade randomly reached out to me through emails and we became best friends, bonding over vocaloid, bnha, and vtubers. i made one joke about being unhappy and she said she had to change it and that really hit me right in the heart for some reason. i got confused and thought the feelings of an insane amount of platonic love were romantic, and I think she did too. we had a short relationship before we decided to just be friends. our breakup was really chill, just a mutual agreement of her being like "lol actualy i dont really think im lesbian" and me being like "yeahhhhh i kinda was so surprised that an actual person cared about me that my brain tricked me into thinking i was romantically in love with you for a few weeks" and we still stayed friends. its a pretty good deal too, because she writes AMAZING fanfiction and i get to read it. but im so glad she was there when i needed her most, because im not sure id be alive right now if she wasn't

I’ve only just found this song, but it already means so much to me. Sure, I’ve been into corny love songs recently, but as of now, I am deeply in love. This reminds me of my best friend. We're both autistic, which I guess some people see as "evil," so the song kind of fits. I think I might like him as more than just a friend, but I'm not entirely sure what differentiates romantic love from platonic. I know the difference isn't sex, though, because asexual people can have romantic relationships, and people can have sex without loving each other. Plus, we're both asexual.
I'm also autistic. I don't know your circumstances and I'm not really qualified to give relationship advice, as I've never dated, but I say go for it. If you're both asexual as you said, then there's less pressure in the relationship if you become "more than friends." You're free to talk it out and decide what type of friendship/relationship you want to have. It might be romantic, or it might just be a tightly knit friendship. If you're actually uncertain how you feel, you could just couch it as "I think I might like you as more than just a friend, but I'm not sure how" and just see what his reaction is. I've had a few friends with romantic interest in me that I didn't reciprocate, but their telling me how they felt never ruined the friendship. Sorry if that's a lot, I hope it helps.

Hi guys... I'm Maki. I have a not so happy story connected to this song, and I'd like to share it, maybe I'd like for someone to read my comment and give me some advice...
So, I always treasured online friendships. That's because somehow, in real life I'm an introvert and very afraid of judgement, while online I suddenly become an extrovert because I find many more people who have a lot in common with me. One of these people was a girl, we'll just call her H, not to reveal her real name.
We were very close and planned to meet in real life at a comic fair I was going to with my parents. It was the first time for me, but not for her, so I was scared I couldn't meet her because of the crowd and the fact that I had never seen that city. During the journey I listened to this song on my MP3 player, silently praying that we would be able to meet. (She also listens to Vocaloid)
And we did. I met H and we stayed together just for a few minutes, but it felt amazing to hug her and see her cosplay. At the time, I thought it was the best day of my life: not only was it my first time at a fair, but even meeting my online friend.
That was exactly two years ago... A little later, we grew apart, but still remained in good terms with each other. A sort of "tradition" we had was that every time her birthday came, since I'm a singer, I would make her a cover of a song she liked as a gift.
She turned 19 last month and as always I sent her happy birthday and she said thank you. Then a few hours later, I sent her the song, too. It was pretty hard for me to sing it but I gave it all I had. Her reaction? She just blocked me, not even answering me, not even explaining what I had done.
I was extremely startled and saddened because of what I saw, it was even a period of my life where another friend betrayed me out of nowhere and things weren't exactly smooth with my best friends, either. I tried to make a mutual friend text her, but... Nothing. She didn't even open the message. And I really thought that she was my friend...
After what happened, I still haven't listened to this song, or the one I covered for her because it would make me too sad. Unlike her, I already had a relationship before but after I was left at the age of 16, while I was already depressed, I have been incredibly repulsed by the idea of love and felt like it was fake since then. Here I am, after months I came back to this song...
So, here's an update. I found out she had Telegram (we never texted there) and sent her a Happy New Year text on December 31 and she replied. She told me that she couldn't explain why she blocked me, but last year was too much for her to handle and that it was not my fault at all. She then said not to reply to her text and completely forget about her. Of course we're not friends anymore, but you can't forget someone you spent years with overnight. I'm a little worried about her, and I just can't understand... But I will respect her choice.

I’m not sure why, but this song reminds me of a crush I’ve had for a while. This girl I’ve known for a while through online school has always been there, and I never really noticed her. When I finally went back to school in person, she turned out to be the absolute best person I’ve ever met. She had so many of the same interests as me and it felt perfect. That’s when the crushing started. After about two weeks knowing her, she left. I’m not sure why, she just… left. I’m nearing the end of the school year now and tearing myself apart hoping she comes back so I can see her again before summer break. I hope she does.

I also had a pretty busy time lately and especially this week was so tiring...a few days I didn't even eat anything besides a small breakfast or did anything at all besides working, because I was too tired after coming home. Now it will be my first really free weekend in a while.

Same if I'm honest. I just had a ugly breakup so this really just hurt, but her vocals were so good it was so hard to do anything. I wanted to cry but I couldn't, I just couldn't force myself to do it.
I have listened to this song so often since it was released. So naturally it played when i was driving around with my (back then) girlfriend. She fell in love with the song too and added it to her playlist too. Since then always when we have to drive for a longer time we listen to it and it just makes us so happy.
Life isn't perfect now and I still struggle with a lot of stuff but i wouldn't trade my wife for anything. She is the person that let me grow so much without ever hurting me and I am so thankful for that. So when we made our rings it was an easy decision for us to put this song as engraving. Her ring says 'I'm glad' and mine 'for us two'.

I've had this on loop. Whenever they say "Just as if it was our first love", I sometimes mishear it as "Just as if it was our first life". Paired with the lyrics "though this life is useless anyway", it kinda makes it sound as if they had multiple lives (somewhat of a quasi immortality where you die but then come back to life), which is a really cool concept.
I guess the TV series Doctor Who already kinda does this concept though.

I can't even reach him, he also broke up with his girlfriend. I was heartbroken. He was like a family to me, a big brother. Someone that I look up to. i can’t stop listening to this song even though it makes me way too sad. all my friends from school are all off at college and i just feel like i’ve been left behind and so lost.
I hd a girlfriend throughout most of high school and to this day i still don’t know why i broke up with her. she was always the nicest person in the world and made me smile all the time when i was down. i threw it away and now i’m near broke, can’t find a decent job, and trying to fight a sugar addiction that’s gotten me feeling sick almost every day. i rarely talk with my school friends anymore. I just want to know what i want to do and have someone by my side for that, but i threw it away.
on top of all of that, covid absolutely ruined any chance of me getting out normally, as it shut me in and motivated my introvert personality to take over and hide in my room daily. i just can’t find a solace anywhere and yet i sit here, and listen to this, and feel bad for myself while not being able to do anything about it
i know this was from a few months ago, but i really hope things are better for you now or wind up getting better for you. i know im just a stranger on the internet, but don't lose hope, there's always chances to get back into contact with your friends and try to rekindle what you guys had in school. just try to keep your head up, you don't have to force yourself to feel good, but continue to take care of yourself and i believe you can get through this.
