Lollia if you ever read this plz make a cover of this song plz I think your voice will go so well with this so plz make a cover of this song and thank you
My theory- this may be very similar to others theories but here goes- So the girl's dad is a workaholic who spends too much time working to pay attention to his wife, so the wife cheats on him. The wife ends up getting pregnant and has the girl in the story. The father finds out, and the parents constantly argue and bicker. The girl hears and sees them arguing, and thinks that she is unwanted and that her parents don't love her. She goes to the park to play and sees other families playing happily together, and she becomes envious of them. She then makes dolls on how she would WANT her family to be, she wishes her doll family was her real life. Then after that, she then decides that she is unwanted and if she dies her parents would be happier without her, so she rides a bus to the beach, and jumps into the water. She then has a dream-like sequence where she plays with her family, and at the part where her parents are on the other bank is probably actually her unconscious and her parents are a metaphor for her drowning and crossing over into death. Her dad ends up finding her and pulls her out of the water, AND her dream-like sequence, and she wakes up from being passed out in the water in the ER. She then sees her doll and sees her as a real girl, who smiles at her as she gets actual attention and love from her family- her wish has come true. Then the girl walks away, an illusion of the girls mind.
Really relate to this song. Children have to grow up with this. Hearing voices that used to soothe you to sleep shouting at each other is terrible. Especially when you are depressed on top of that. It makes you feel that you are just an extra piece and thinking that you aren’t needed ever since such a young age can permanently damage you and you childhood. Thinking your better off dead makes it hard to live. Things that other children do like have lullabyes sang to them or stories never happens. Instead there’s fighting. And sometimes it’s even blamed on you. People like this should really think thrice before having kids. Condoms were made for a reason. Kids growing up with this grow up with multiple varieties of metal problems such as anger management, Depression, loneliness etc. it makes them want to die with their lives feeling like a burden. With this family as well they are taught not to tell anyone or it worries their parents and people to end up in more fighting so they keep it in. They almost don’t know how to put it into words because it’s so deeply sealed and your mind just neglects opening up. You tell no one which makes you have no actual and genuine relationships cuz nobody knows anything about you and it sucks acting like a fucking con artist. Loneliness is probably the worst thing to feel and kids like this feel it since such a young age. We need to end this! Use protection guys!
I think the part where she said "You caught me before I could try" was explaining that when the girl was trying to commit suicide, was maybe when her mom and "dad" found her trying to do it and they saved her and brought her to the hospital
What would make this even more sad is if, someone else found the girl drowning, and the parents didn't even notice she was missing, until they got a call or something.
Yeah, and I think the workaholic man the mom was cheating on saved her. Notice that in her imagination that the arms that catches the girl was the “dad’s” in 2:26 & when she was walking towards the imaginary parents (a sign that she goes to the afterlife), the same pair of hands grabbed her from behind. 2:44
I don’t know about that, she clearly jumped into the water, and she was clearly unconscious after doing so because it immediately cut to her dreaming and she woke up at the hospital. But then again, if she were taken to the hospital cold and wet from nearly drowning you would expect them to put her in a dry hospital gown... The music and art are both petty vague on what actually happened that night. But the original Japanese version said nothing about her dad actually saving her, but we still saw his hand pulling her back before waking up at the hospital. For a song that is built upon details in the art driving the story it’s hard to think the artist would just overlook such details, and I feel there’s a definitive answer out there somewhere of exactly what happened that night.
I know I really want to see what she does for electric angle (if she does it I also want to see her do ohedo julianight and secret police as those are my favorites)
That’s what makes vocaloid songs so amazing. There’s so much there but the pieces are so strewn about that you don’t really know how to put them together. It just adds to the songs.
Okay, here's my theory: - Haru is cheating on Hiro, and has been for several years. (Let's call the girl Ai, or Love, because that's all she wants) Haru has a child, Ai, which Hiro believes is his. (Blond is probably a recessive trait, and Haru has green eyes. It's not that unusual, right?) After a few years, the three are living together as a happy family. Hiro gets swamped with work and stays later nights at his job, and because of this, Haru grows more careless. At some point, she is discovered and the parents fight, leaving Ai feeling alone and unwanted. She believes it's her fault, because she overhears them at some point and hears her name. Ai makes dolls of "herself" (She already thinks she doesn't look like her parents, and that if she did, they'd love her more.) and her family, and pretends that they're having fun together, just like she wants. Ai eventually gets tired of being alone and goes to the park, hoping that she'll feel better there, but it's the opposite- she sees families enjoying themselves and being happy together, and she gets even more depressed. Ai remembers something her parents said while they were arguing, about her mother's cheating, and she realises she isn't her father's child, and feels even more out of place. She spends the night there accidentally and wants to go back home, but thinks she won't be loved or appreciated there. Eventually, Ai reaches her lowest point and goes to the ocean to drown herself so she won't feel this anymore, and so that her parents won't fight. After jumping into the water, Ai closes her eyes and imagines herself playing with her family, being happy with her family, and them truly loving her. She wants to reach out for them, to fall into their welcoming arms and disappear- but she is found and saved before she can. Ai wakes up in a hospital, with her parents standing over her and crying, and she realises they do love her. She knows that she isn't really "their" child, and she knows her parents aren't going to be the same now, but she wants to believe that they'll be okay. She forgets the dolls and her "perfect" family, and tells herself that this is her perfect family, even if they're truly falling apart. (I also like to think that her parents, while they do most likely divorce, try to stay friendly with each other for Ai's sake.)
@SourPatchGacha Hm, I think the other girl was just her imagination all along. That'd explain why the other girl disappeared at the end. Also, considering that this whole thing was from the original girl's perspective, nobody else would be able to see her, also explaining why nobody else in the hospital room was paying attention to the other little girl. And it probably wasn't actually Hiro at the park with another little girl, it's more likely it was just a random parent and child that she was projecting onto, imagining that this could be her. This *should* be her. Y'know?
@@oofygoofyyes3718 I mean, there's not really a way to know for sure, but it's probably dirt. Most likely imaginary, too, considering she probably sees herself as dirty and gross, as someone who doesn't deserve anything she has, because she doesn't think of herself as her father's *real* child.
its honestly sad that a suicide attempt can fix a lot of stuff. People will be nicer to you, because they are afraid of losing you after they experienced something terrifying
Oh Snap Cider Is Fizzy That is true but at the same time its not fixing anything, just developing a fear that soon enough will vanish when they get angry, upset or just had enough. Suicide attempt are only a temporary fix and I hate it in that no body deserved to go through that and the extremes some people need to go through for another to listen
As someone who actually tried, it's sadly true. My mom got a lot softer on me after she found out I attempted it in the middle of one of my high school classes. This is after I suffered through the same trauma of loss 3 times, all 3 were people I got close to at different points in my life. She's never been as hard on me than she was before because the unfortunate thing about this fact is that by the time you attempt it, *everyone knows you're damaged and they're only trying not to damage you anymore*. The fear settles itself into everyone's hearts, and even if it seems like it's gone it'll pester them when things start going south.
@@marcferrer1442 I read a part of novel which about suicidal and depressed mom after her son ran away from home. It was said, having suicidal and depressed person also could affect other family members too. I feel this words make sense since they keep considered the suicidal and depressed person and can't give negative reaction or opinion on them at all which also could make other family members depressed too. Also, whenever the suicidal and depressed person keep saying they want to die or things like that, the other family member need to calm them and let them not think such things again. So, I hope you're considered other feelings too. Damage yourself also could damage others causing them try not to damage you anymore but they damage themselves instead. But you should not think it's your fault for making them damage themselves. Just find a hobby that make you happy and calm with others.
To think that they need u to get to that point to actually start paying attention, but what if the "attemp" is actually a success? Wouldn't it be too late to regret things? But unfortunately it's true.
I think the other girl at the end is a representation of what the main girl would have looked like if she was her father's actual daughter. She only has traits from the man her mom had an affair with.
@@Katherine-rh9pl well it's the dad's fault to for neglecting them which led to her cheating and neglecting their daughter. Yeah not a very happy family.
Here goes! The story starts with a couple. The woman cheats on the man as seen at 0:23 and the man "never bats an eye". That is until the woman gives birth to a girl with blonde hair. This is peculiar because neither the man or woman have blonde hair. However, the man at 0:23 does. This leads the man and woman to grow very distant and fight often. Their separation and neglect of their child is shown in the opening moments of the video at 0:06. The girl then begins to feel like she was a mistake and unneeded as shown at 0:41 and 0:44. The girl brings her doll to the park. The doll symbolizes her fantasy of what a good family should be like. The girl takes good care of the doll and plays with her often unlike the girl's own parents. At 0:58 the girl sees other happy families and wonders why her family can't be more like that. She then leaves the park and comes back at night time when she can be alone with her doll. While alone she has time to think about everything and comes to the conclusion that it is all her fault hence, "I've been a very bad girl". This leads her to make more dolls, this time the dolls resemble her parents and instead of the girl acting as a parental figure for the doll like she did before, she now envisions a world where her doll parents truly care for her. At 1:15 we see the parents lovingly playing with the girl, however, a second later it is revealed that this is only the girl's imaginary world where her mind now often drifts. At 1:27 we can see the mother putting on makeup, presumably to meet up with the true father of the girl once again. At 1:37 the girl returns to the park and sees a girl that closely resembles her doll hand in hand with her father. This is meant to symbolize the fact that the father too has a fantasy of a perfect family that he never got to have. Note also that the doll has brown hair that matches the father's, unlike the girl's blonde hair. At this point the girl is devastated because she realizes the father would be far happier with a different child and at 1:45 the girl drops the parent dolls, thus accepting the harsh reality of her life. Crushed, the girl boards a train to the beach, the last place where she remembers having fun as a family as shown by the photo at 2:03 and 0:06.She walks into the water, unaware of how to swim and with the intention of drowning at 2:06. This prompts a dream-like sequence that takes place in the park where the girl would watch other happy families. At 2:18 and 2:19 the doll parents morph into real looking parents and play hide and seek with the girl. At 2:35 she sees a vision of her parents with open arms, welcoming her into the depths of the ocean and she turns to follow them when at 2:44 she is yanked back to reality by her real mother and father who have come to save her. At 2:49 the girl wakes up in a hospital bed and for the first time in years her parents both seem to truly care for her. And at 2:56 she can see her doll has become a real girl, symbolizing how the family has been brought together and the girl's fantasy has started to become a reality.
See, that is very nice and thought-out, but it is NOT that linear - in fact, I do believe her wading in the water did not result in a dream-state. What actually occurred was an onset of Raynauds Disease while that is happening - where the body gets too cold in one area, and overheats to compensate Hence, Black as Raven hands alive, and being chosen to burn inside In addition, that would also explain why they pricked her HANDS, and not her ARMS
I showed this to my friend and asked her what she thought it meant. She said, "Oh, the girl's playing hide and seek with her parents." edit from 2020: bruh all these likes?? i don’t even remember the friend i showed this too lol
@@six2071 The thing is there are people who have this situation, I actually cried, I understand the girls envy, even if this is just a pair of drawings.
I have a theory that the lyrics aren't about the girl, but about her mom. Lyrics like "she's been a very bad girl" and "she's been a very bad girl" could directly relate to her mistakes with cheating? on a previovus husband. And the fact that she is blind to the pain this is causing her daughter. Just thought I'd put this here...
I'm not being rude, but if it was about the mom, why would it say "I've been a very bad girl" with a picture of the girl? I don't know about when it said "She's been a very blind girl" though, it could be about either one. But also, why would it show so much of the girl in the animation if it was about the mom?
Nah they are all about the little girl, but thats a good theory!! Because a) I dont think theyd be showing just the girl most of the time if its about the mom B) their is proof in the lyrics thats its about the girl. Though maybe it has a double meaning? I doubt it though
The lyrics are actually about a girl. The original lyrics mean that she is bad child, an unwanted child. I’m guessing Juby didn’t add that to suit the rhythm of the song in English.
It can also be the possibility of her trying to be able to be accepted as his own daughter. Since there is a theory that she is the child of a love affair since you see that the man the mom had an affair is shown to have the same hair as the girl. You can also see the other girl with the hat had similar features as the dad. Maybe it’s her view on how she would have looked like if the dad was her biological dad. (Sorry for my bad grammar)
Me: Okay just one more time 2 hours later Friend: can we listen to something else now? Me: uhh ju just one more time i like this song. 3 hours later Freind: *grabs laptop and throws it out the window*
Person: "Why are you crying over fictional characters?" Me: "Because this actually happens in the world" Edit: I was 13 when I wrote this and it was pure satire, why did it get so many likes-
Not gonna lie, I listened to this like twice, and said: “Ok, imma just toss this in my playlist. So I can listen to it again.” That was a month ago. *laughs in depression*
The story is The girl's biological father is the other man pictured with her mother. Her parents fight about it all the time. It's so bad that she can leave the house by herself and nobody cares. The other brunette is her sister, and her father tells her that he's too busy to play with her, but when she sees him playing with her sister, she assumes that he doesn't love her because she's not his. After this, she assumes that she is causing all of the fights, so she decides that the world would be better without her so she decides to take the photo of when her family was happy, before the truth came out about her. She starts to drown herself, but her sister follows her and saves her. This conflict causes her parents to realize what their fighting had been doing to their child, and they slowly mend the broken relationship.
Turtle Face I think the brunette girl isn't her sister as she isn't in any family pictures or around the house at all. I think the brunette girl is what she would like if her parents actually had her together and is at the end and in the middle of the mum and dad dolls because she is a manifestation of the secret that's breaking the family apart
It always messes me up when I see her "parents" turn to bubbles and she's confused, then turns around to actually see them reaching out for her happily with many flowers around them. Cause I feel like Death basically gave her what she truly wanted if she fully accepted it with opened arms and then she could finally feel like they were all a happy family again.. it really gets me..
My theory: The husband neglects his wife, probably because of work, so she cheated on him and got impregnated by another man. The little girl is a result of that pregnancy. She hears her parents arguing about it, but she doesn't piece it together, not entirely. As time goes by and she plays in the park, watching the other children, she realizes they resemble at least one of their parents. She, on the other hand, looks nothing like her mother or father. In fact, she looks exactly like the man her mother is having an affair with. The girl with the hat is not real, but a figment of how she thinks she _should_ look. Hence why her doll is the spitting image of the girl in the hat. People argue that she's her step-sister, but I disagree because she looks exactly like the mother; brown hair and green eyes. When the song says "she's been a very blind girl", it isn't because she sees the father with another child, but because she finally realizes that she isn't his biological daughter. When she tries to drown herself and has that dream sequence, she tries to run to her parents but someone pulls her away-- her _biological_ father. Her family will never be complete because of this. When she wakes up in the hospital, she decides to keep it a secret and go through the motions.
Thats just because PV IDK THIS pv were made by original song or another thirdparty director.. But If this pv were made BY Original than ur theory will be fit in
For anyone who does not know the meaning of this song, the father is very distant from the family caught up in work, and the mother is having another affair. Judging by the hair of the guy the mom is with, it is possible the child is not really her fathers, since the man also had blonde hair. The little girl is imagining her parents loving her at the end. And she is in the hospital because she failed at committing suicide by drowning herself.
+Purple leopard and Pink Donkey animations! It's the doll, the doll turned into a human and granted the girl's wish. You see the doll and the other girl has the same hat and hair color.
That would make sense, given that the human manifestation of the doll is walking with someone who looks just like her father, and at the end, it's the doll with the parent dolls, not the main girl herself. Plus "tomorrow no one has to know" might apply to that too
My Theory: . . . Characters: • Mom/Wife/Haru-chan = The brown-haired, green-eyed lady (see 0:18) • Husband/Father figure/Hiro-kun = The blue-haired, brown-eyed man (see 0:18) • The biological father/Gary = The blonde man (see 0:23 and 0:40) I'm gonna name him Gary because it sounds a lot like the Japanese word for diarrhea (下痢). F*ck you Gary. • The girl/Yūko (憂子) = The main character. I'm going to call her Yūko because it means depressed child in Japanese and it also seems to fit her. . . . Hiro is a workaholic (see 0:37). He never spends time with Haru, so she cheats on him with Gary. Hiro is too focused on work to care until Haru gets pregnant with Gary and has Yūko. You know this because of two things. One, Yūko has blonde hair. She should have brown, blue, or a mix of the two, but she has blonde hair. Two, her eyes. Haru's eyes are green and Hiro's eyes are brown. We never see Gary's eyes, but we can assume that they are a light color because Yūko has blue eyes, a recessive trait. Because of the unexpected pregnancy, tensions rise. Hiro and Haru start to bicker and mostly ignore Yūko. To cope, she makes three dolls: Haru, Hiro, and herself as she wishes she could be. The brown-haired, brown-eyed doll is what she imagines she would look like if she were a product of her Haru and Hiro instead of her Haru and Gary. She also holds on to memories of when they were a happier family. Them playing at the park, and them at the beach. (Hence the photo and the drawing, and the scene near the end that I'll talk about later). Because her parents largely ignore her and fight constantly, she begins to believe that she is worthless. She views herself as the cause of her parents' unhappiness and wishes that she was never born OR that she was born to Hiro. To distract her from this, she plays with her dolls at the park quite often. But, when she is alone without any distractions, we see her depression seep through, like in the jungle gym (1:07), or when she is drawing (1:23). She begins to get jealous of the 'perfect' families she sees at the park and tries to ignore it (0:59 - 1:01), but sometimes she pictures herself in their shoes (like at 1:42) and wishes she had a 'perfect' life. Eventually, the depression gets the better of her, and she decides to kill herself to 'make her parents happy'. She rides the bus to the beach, carrying her picture of when she was happy, and her dolls; her most important possessions. While she is underwater, she dreams/hallucinates that she is playing with her happy family. They play hide and seek and then hug her. This is important because it shows that they are happy. That they love her and aren't fighting anymore. *That it isn't real.* Then, we see her parents standing in a field, beckoning to her. This symbolizes death. Her perfect family wants her to join them. She wants to, and almost gives up, as we see her eyes turn brown for a brief second at 2:43. Then she is pulled back to the land of the living by the arm of Hiro, and her eyes turn blue again (2:44). It's unclear whether Hiro finds her or someone else does, but nevertheless, she gets saved. Yūko wakes up in a hospital surrounded by family and hallucinates her perfect self-holding doll-Haru and doll-Hiro. I view this as her letting go of her dream of a perfect family and realizing that she can be happy with this family as she is, hence the line "tomorrow no one has to know." As that realization kicks in, the gravity of the situation settles, and all of the emotions she has been holding in hit her, she starts to cry. Our final shot is of the doll family sitting happily, symbolizing the fact that she won't need them to cope anymore. Edit for spelling and formatting
Oh, I guess you lived too far away from the onions at the time. Lucky... HEY WHO PUT THESE NEXT TO ME!?!?! *points at onions on the floor tied to my legs*
My theory: A young girl wants her family to be close, but her father is very distant because of work so his wife cheats on him with a boy with blonde hair, thus, getting a child with blonde hair, it might not be the actual father's baby. She started to feel she is unneeded and unwanted, so she committed suicide inorder to imagine they becoming as one of a family. P.S: Who the hell is cutting the onions?
The theory is good, but the suicide attempt failed, because the girl ends up in the hospital, and the whole family is back together, including her half sister. *O N I O N N I N J A*
I remember one day I brought my phone to school with some earbuds so I could listen to music and my friend said "Can I listen with you?" and I said yes and then I said "OH MY GOD WE NEED TO LISTEN TO THIS ONE SONG IT'S CALLED DROP POP CANDY!" so I put it on and my friend loved it. She also wanted me to show her more of your songs :3
This is how I heard the story goes. The little girl sees her parents happy with other people, mom with her biological father and her 'dad' with his other, not with the mom, daughter, but sees how angry and miserable they are together. She believes that she is the problem in the family, so she tries to drown herself. Also, I think the brown haired girl is a fantasized version of herself, because she doesn't look like her mom or her dad, just her biological dad. That's why her doll looked like that girl.
we have this thing I. our car where the sound from our device can play from the cars speakers and I am playing this to my brother and my mom my brother is like; "ewww" and my mom's like; "I like it"
May i say that you sound so good. i forced all my friends to,listen to you and my friends wont listen to vocaloid if you arent singing it. you are the best. Keep it up
Everyone here is saying how depressing and great this song is, yet I'm over here thinking _"Dang, why the heck are they letting their child play with needles!?"_ Great song though.
If anyone's curious about the song's story, this is what I believe: The girl's father is a workaholic, which causes her mother to have an affair. Due to this, the girl's parents fight instead of caring for their child like they used to. The girl makes a doll so she wouldn't be lonely and goes outside to play (since Japan has low crime rates, it's common for children to be outside alone). However, she constantly becomes envious of other children playing with their parents. The girl begins to fantasize a perfect life with her family, so she makes a doll of her mother and father. As she plays in the park, she imagines that her father doll and girl doll are real (as seen when she only drops the mother doll before running off; the only character not in the scene), which prompts her to feel replaced. She grabs the photo of her family at the beach, when they used to be happy, and rides a subway to drown herself at that beach. As she loses consciousness, she has a fever dream of playing hide and seek with her parents. Her dream parents beckon her to the other side of the river (which could possibly mean death), however, before she crosses it, her real parents pull her out of the coma. Her real parents shower her with love, and as she glances to the corner of the room, she sees the girl she saw with her father earlier, only to realize it was her imagination when the girl turns back into a doll perched on the wall with the rest of her doll family.
This song always reminds me of an episode of Inuyasha: a little girl dies in a fire and tries to kill her younger brother, who's been in a coma since the fire. She also thinks her mother let her die on purpose and that she loves her brother more. The episode's sad and a little scary, but it has a sweet ending, just like this one. :)
The sister realizes she's been wrong the whole time and that the fire was just an accident. She apologizes to her mother and moves on to the afterlife. At the same time, her brother wakes up from his coma.
the soul piper and the mischievous little soul? i love that episode too! ive been watching inuyasha forever, and got the finale straight from japan on dvd. tgfs. lol
Yui Rio I havent watched Inuyasha, but from looking at the comments, it seems like it isnt part of the main story, and doesnt spoil anything major, so take it easy
Oh, wow, the lyric "Call me a phatom, never meant to be" hit me just now. I never noticed it before, but paired with the visuals of her mom shouting, this girl doesn't just feel like she is unwanted becouse of a missunderstanding. She feels that way becouse her mother literally yelled at her father that she wasn't suposed to exist. (Pair that with the theory that she is actually the daughter of the mothers lover, that statement makes a lot of sense. But just somehow turns twice as hurtfull)
I HEARD THIS SONG SO MANY TIMES BUT GOING TO THE COMMENT SECTION REVEALED A COMPLETE NEW PERSPECTIVE TO THIS SONG. EVEN THO I WATCHED THIS VIDEO A COUPLE OF TIMES ID HAVE NEVER KNOWN THAT THE BLUE HAIRED GUY ISNT HER REAL FATHER. Ugh bad english
I'm guessing this, so don't get mad saying it's this, not this and all that crap. I'm thinking that the mother in this story is cheating on her husband, having an affair with another man and becoming pregnant for that reason. She then has the girl in this story, which her hair is brown like her mothers, and since the father in the story has either black or dark gray eyes, the blonde man that the mother was with when it said "yes, and even you" has blue eyes. Her parents constantly argue for this reason, so she decides to run away from it all and stays in the park. She makes a doll that looks like what she thinks she could look like after knowing mostly why the parents are arguing. She notices a girl with her family happily playing, and she gets even more sad than she already was. She stays in the small house thing (I don't know what it's called) at night, and walks around in the day. She then later makes dolls of her parents, them reminding her of them and how they could be if she was just like her father. She thinks about everything that happened when she was little and how she thought it was perfect, and then looks at herself and sees that everything is broken for her. She then sees a child that looks like what she would look like if she simply looked like her father, and then sees her holding the hand of what is either her father or a man that looks like her father. When it says "She's been a very blind girl" it's talking about how she didn't know her life what falling apart, and now it's making her extremely depressed. She decides to pack up and go on a train to a lake, where she drowns herself in attempt to end her misery. Her dreams are about her playing hide and seek with her family and simply being a happy family, and then imagining her parents loving her and being her family. Something pulls her back, which is her biological father, her now knowing that's her real father and that she was supposed to live with him. She then wakes up in the hospital, seeing her parents being extremely scared and finally loving her, and she then being happy. The girl that turns around and looks at her is the reflection of what she could be, and she decides to keep her sorrow a secret, because of the last line.
I like the theory! But after looking through it again it, never showed the face of the man. So genetically the eyes and hair could come from someone in the family of either the parents. When looking closely you can see that the hand pulling her back has a white shirt, which the dad wears after waking her up.
@@bloodyrose5623 I'd rather say her hair color is brown, a very light brown. At 0:22 there's even a guy with platinum blonde hair, she might have had multiple partners.
I love the visuals at 2:41 when the girl goes to walk into the light (death obv) but the hand pulls her back and she wakes up. It makes me tear up everytime for some reason
Pretty deep, Or at least i think so, If you watch the pv in my mind, I saw a girl who was invisible and of course thinking she doesn't have a place in the world goes to commit suicide but she survives and the family she thought had torn apart is pieced together again out of her own envy, Well that's what i saw any way!, Love the song juby!
My theory is: The people just post theories here!!! Let's go guys appreciate the juby job she have a amazing voice! /\ /\ ● ● congratulations juby \\\ ^ \\\
In my opinion the father and the girl at the park are own her dolls ( father doll and herself as a doll ) the girl is holding the mother doll as she miss her mother. This was a cruel way for the doll to force the parents to love the girl ( at the end they hug her and the doll smiles and disappear)
me: listens this Song *2 hour later* me: just one more time *4 hour later* me: ONE MORE TIME *24 hour later* me: One more time mum: STOP LISTENING THIS SONG!!!
My theory on this is that the little girl is actually a product from her mother's affair. As you can see, the little girl has blonde hair yet neither of her parents are blonde. However, as you can see in 0:40, the man her mother is having an affair with has blonde hair. You can also see that at 1:13, her mother has green eyes while her father has black eyes showing that she doesn't even have her parents' eye colours. My guess is that her father found out about this affair which led to the destruction of their family and his neglecting towards the little girl. I also think that her doll (0:43) is the representation of a girl who is actually both her parents' biological daughter (since, as you can see, the doll has brown hair and black eyes like her mother and father). I also think that the image that she sees where her father is with a little girl (who looks exactly like her doll) is just her imagining that her father would have probably payed more attention to her if she was his real daughter.
+Echo Doragoni Really? I mean it makes sense, i guess. I'm kind of hesitant in thinking that though because there seems to be no doll for the little girl so it would be weird if the sister had a doll and not her...
The last word really got me you know the: "We'll again come play the game" About that word i think she means that her parents will fight again and the same thing will happen "Tomorrow no one has to know" I think it means either what happened today will be a secret or maybe it means like tomorrow the same thing will happen but nobody has to know
Story time! A man becomes obsessed with work and his wife gets jealous! she of course, cheats! She becomes impregnated and has a child, when the child hears her parents fighting she goes to the park to think things over. But she's pulled back to her parents. When she comes home her moms preparing for a date with the child's real father, so she goes back to the park, if u notice she sees a girl with her dad. That looks exactly like her doll! That's because that's what the girl wants to look like. Thinking she actually saw this she runs home and grabs a picture and her purse, she then hops on the train. Fast fact! The reason she could go on the train alone was because Japan's crime rates are so low. After getting off the train she tries to kill herself. Her real father saves her and brings her to the hospital. Her "parents" decide to stop fighting, because the child is more important. When it says tomorrow no one has to know is because she will comit suicide one day.
I kinda think its because she was going to hide the reason all of this happened to her parents, she didn't want to tell them that she was trying to commit suicide because of them.
I think the "tomorrow, no one has to know" is them putting this experience behind them, moving on, and in a way kinda hiding it from others? I interpreted the "no one has to know" more as a "nobody will have to know that this happened"
Lyrics: Easily playing, never bat an eye Weeping and posing, another perfect alibi Every day lonely, I’d rather play a game Like a slow running stream of honey I crave Looking at you now, yes, and even you Was I unneeded? Was I just in the way, too? Call me a phantom, never meant to be Couldn’t be more fun to party and scream Now My, oh my, oh walk your way to me Clap your hands, we’re traveling to the beat Why, oh why, oh hurry up and leave And again I come to see, I’ve been a very bad girl Dreaming in color, burned it in my mind But then I wake up with black as raven hands alive Well, I was chosen to burn inside Couldn’t be more fun to whistle and sing Now Crawling, crawling out tonight and see Everyone up scrambling to the beat Easy easy, envy all you need Dancing on without a clue, she’s been a very blind girl Counting 1, 2, 3, and 4 you better go and hide Hiro-kun, Haru-chan, two that I find Three and just don’t be it, barely breathing out a sigh You caught me before I could try Now My, oh my, oh walk your way to me Clap your hands, we’re traveling to the beat I’m shivering slowly, raise a foot to leave All alone sing bye bye Hey Find me, find me LOVE, I’m on my knees Reach a hand but pricks me until I bleed Fine? Oh fine? Sewn eyes I broke to see We’ll again come play the game...tomorrow, no one has to know
The fact I saw this 3 years ago and I really related to this song. And even in 2023 I still relate to this by alot. Wishing all of you who relate to this the love you deserve.
did anyone else notice the girl at the end was the doll she had at the beginning. and at the end that girl was holding the dolls that were the parents. and at some part of the vid she was with the father.
I've always thought myself that before, I've been in a stage where I'm depressed and made cuts on my wrists. I felt unwanted. Just like that little girl, I've felt relatable to her. Juby, thank you for making this english cover.
2:33 Can't remember whether or not somebody already said this, but I like to think that the "parents" in this scene are actually angels disguised as the girls parents, come to take her away to heaven. Fortunately the real parents find her in time and take her to the hospital, and before she can leave (in other words before her soul can leave her body) they call out to her and beg her to come back and she wakes up. Then the parents hug her and promise not to fight in front of her anymore and to be better parents. Also the father realizes that he loves his daughter even if she isn't really his blood-related daughter and the three of them live happily ever after.
Because in Japan, it's actually really normal for a child to be riding the train or bus by themselves. They're taught at a young age to do things by themselves, like going to school by themselves even if it might going on trains by themselves. So that's why no one would really question it as much if they were to see a child by themselves, some might ask but most wouldn't because it's a nature culture thing in Japan.
Most people wont see this but, a shoutout to all children with divorced parents, you all are amazing for everything you go through. Stay cool. Divorced kids are special kids.
At 2:16, the frame shows the mother and father as children and the daughter as an adult. It could be alluding to the past; however, the way the whole song works makes me think it means that the daughter behaves/acts more mature than the parents. The parents act like children and hide from their problems until they are confronted with the problem of the girl/how the wife cheated and had the daughter. I may be looking too far into it, but I just thought of it like that.
coming back to this after years you don't realize the small details like the first time, her clothes are torn and very rugged, as she faced the world alone. her heart must of shattered when she saw her father smiling with another girl
I had once interpreted that the blonde kid was an adopted child, because the parents lost their real biological daughter. they could've adopted her to fill the void of the loss of their own child. but because they can't fill the void and keep fighting over the past. they're ignoring their adopted child and doing their own thing. and in the end she finally accepted herself and was accepted by them, even if she wasn't their biological child. That's what I was seeing when first seeing it.
fun story: I'm 13 now, and i recently discovered this song and i feel like it really relates to me. Which sounds like hashtag deep, i know. But hear me out. When I lived with my mother, she neglected me a lot and emotionally abused me and very rarely would a little bit physically abuse me, too. And I was bullied at school (random people would make me give them my money, they'd tell me to stop eating, and even outside of school random kids would tell me to go kill myself. And online was my only escape) , to keep this comment short, i basically became depressed, got anxiety and PTSD (Yes, I was diagnosed by a therapist. My current one. This is not me making this up.) and, basically, at 11 years of age i was put into a psychiatry for an attempted suicide and hallucinations (Like, everywhere i looked to, I saw myself dying and killing myself.) and then in the psychiatry my therapist would make up lies about me and wouldn't care that I tried to kill myself 7 times (the reason the last one didn't work, was because i had almost reached my wrist's vein by scratching up my wrist with an empty pen until it got to painful to bare and I started laughing and crying like an idiot about how terrible i thought I was.) while in the hospital. My mom (and she still thinks this) thought that I had gone insane for a year. And while all of that was happening, my mom had a stalker that stalked and threatened the two of us, but she was in love with him and he lived with us and yeah. I hated it there and then I moved to my dad at 12 years old. When I did, i constantly had anger outbursts and I was very... emotional to say the least. So yeah, also my mom has in the past threatened to kill herself If I don't come back to her, among other guilt tripping tactics. So yeah. The reason this song really relates to me, in my eyes, is because my dad lived on the other side of the world (he is involved in my life, and loves me, he's not a bad person.) and has a wife and my little half-brother. My mother had her insane boyfriend. I felt like I was not needed and everyone told me that anyway, which is why my depression got worse.
Curious and sad story about you, especially your case is somewhat particular because of how it started and seems to "end", but unfortunately similar cases to yours occur in the Hispanic American area (not to mention that the same thing happens all over the world as well).
i thought my depression was already very serious... but this? Thanks for commenting this, i really think i should consider if killing myself is a good idea .
@@ayumi3094 You should definitely try reaching out for help if you consider those things. I hope your situation, circumstances, and whatever else might be causing your depression will get better
This song can attach to me as well. Not as much as it can with you, though. I experienced neglect and abuse from my mother and I was bullied a lot at school as well. But I didn't have the internet at all because my mom barely paid her electricity bill. I love my dad and he's an amazing person, I've been fighting in court with my mother for years so I can live with my dad. My mother even has straight up told me she doesn't love me. The fighting is painful and useless and exhausting and I just want it to end. I'm living with my dad right now while my mother fights us and tries anything she can to get him in jail. She literally only wants me for money. She doesn't care about me at all. I have a lot of anxiety & recently it's been really getting to me, everything that happens leaves me thinking for minutes about consequences and what could happen, which worries me more and more and makes me want to cry. I also have sisters, who my mother won't let me see unless I come to live with her. She doesn't even deserve to have my sisters in her care, she never did anything for us and I'm the one who raised them since they were born. It makes me so angry just thinking about it and now I feel like I'm gonna cry so I'm gonna stop now. I hope you're life did get better, though.
I'm probably the only one who actually thinks this wasn't a happy ending for the family. This tells a story about a girl who is in an abusive family; her mom cheats on her dad for the fun of it and neglect from her husband, her dad is too caught up in work to spend time with anyone and honestly most likely pretends these bad things aren't happening beacuse he is sick of dealing with it. The daughter's parents are always fighting due to being easily pissed off, neglect, or the cheating, or both. Emotional abuse towards their daughter is quite common and it could matter less to them if their daughter was around or not beacuse they are living their own lives without any need for such troublesome things. Once the depressed daughter finally tries to end it all, she finds herself saved by her parents; even if her parents are caring for her at that moment, the daughter is forced to re-live the exact same lifestyle as before resulting in a "sad ending" not a "happy ending" without anyone there to change a thing. A easy way to notice this is the last few lines she said: "Reach a hand but pricks me till I bleed. Fine? Oh fine? Sewn eyes i broke to see. We'll again come play the game tomorrow, no one has to know" Looking at those words closer it seems to make more sense.
I think "no one has to know" relates to her biological identity... if her dad treats her like his daughter, "no one needs to know," since its hood enough.

My theory- this may be very similar to others theories but here goes-
So the girl's dad is a workaholic who spends too much time working to pay attention to his wife, so the wife cheats on him.

*thats pretty good*
I'm pretty sure the drowning is supposed to be an attempt at suicide or something...
That's what the theory said.
I think this theory is really accurate
How much time did it take to come up with the theory and then write it.

Hania Khan Imagine this being an advertisement for condoms-
I wanna think there's a happy ending, but "tomorrow, no one has to know" really just makes me think she's just going to try again.
Oh damn
I think the part where she said "You caught me before I could try" was explaining that when the girl was trying to commit suicide, was maybe when her mom and "dad" found her trying to do it and they saved her and brought her to the hospital
What would make this even more sad is if, someone else found the girl drowning, and the parents didn't even notice she was missing, until they got a call or something.
Well I think that she was trying to do it, and passed out and her parents found her sending her to the hospital.
thats what i assume what happened tbh
I don’t know about that, she clearly jumped into the water, and she was clearly unconscious after doing so because it immediately cut to her dreaming and she woke up at the hospital. But then again, if she were taken to the hospital cold and wet from nearly drowning you would expect them to put her in a dry hospital gown... The music and art are both petty vague on what actually happened that night. But the original Japanese version said nothing about her dad actually saving her, but we still saw his hand pulling her back before waking up at the hospital. For a song that is built upon details in the art driving the story it’s hard to think the artist would just overlook such details, and I feel there’s a definitive answer out there somewhere of exactly what happened that night.
i commend JubyPhonic for always manking the lyrics rhyme in a completely different language while, at the same time, not even changing them that much.

So nobody is gonna talk about how the girl’s eyes are red at the very beginning but are blue throughout the rest of the video?
That's what I noticed!! But maybe it meant something..??
Reflection of the sun?
She's looking at water when you look at water your eyes turn red and you get really depressed
yeah lol
And when it says “all alone sing bye bye” you can see her eyes turn brown for a moment!
Okay, here's my theory:
-
Haru is cheating on Hiro, and has been for several years.
Y'know?
Had to read with my big mind
I’m almost go- I’m already crying
Just a quick question, what were all those marks on the little girls hand?

What actually occurred was an onset of Raynauds Disease while that is happening - where the body gets too cold in one area, and overheats to compensate

Eh. I have false thoughts on that.
Because a) I dont think theyd be showing just the girl most of the time if its about the mom
B) their is proof in the lyrics thats its about the girl.
Though maybe it has a double meaning? I doubt it though
The lyrics are actually about a girl. The original lyrics mean that she is bad child, an unwanted child. I’m guessing Juby didn’t add that to suit the rhythm of the song in English.
notice how she only hugs her father back, not the mother.
Yeah, you are right. But I think it's because she needs her fathers love more.
My man she’s a little kid with little arms, she can’t possibly fit both her parents in
@@millicentwood549 if she tried she'd probably strangle her mother trying to grasp the neck.
She did say “looking at you now” to the father and “yes and even you” like she didn’t care about the mother.

This conflict causes her parents to realize what their fighting had been doing to their child, and they slowly mend the broken relationship.
that is so sad
not to brag but luckily I have a good relationship with my mom and dad
the brunette girl is honestly the real MVP
im sort of confused. so the girl’s dad isnt really her dad????
Yep, her dad is the blond guy with her mother

My theory:
The husband neglects his wife, probably because of work, so she cheated on him and got impregnated by another man.
That's a good theory!
This song makes more sense now!
woah
+KuRuKa But hey, that's just a theory. A ga- wait wrong channel
And she is in the hospital because she failed at committing suicide by drowning herself.
who is the other child?
+Purple leopard and Pink Donkey animations! It's the doll, the doll turned into a human and granted the girl's wish. You see the doll and the other girl has the same hat and hair color.
That would make sense, given that the human manifestation of the doll is walking with someone who looks just like her father, and at the end, it's the doll with the parent dolls, not the main girl herself. Plus "tomorrow no one has to know" might apply to that too
+Kai Zendejas u have to ask them first. dont judge them like that, duh
How do u know it's a she if u have no idea who she is??
My Theory:
.
.
.
Characters:
• Mom/Wife/Haru-chan = The brown-haired, green-eyed lady (see 0:18)
• Husband/Father figure/Hiro-kun = The blue-haired, brown-eyed man (see 0:18)
• The biological father/Gary = The blonde man (see 0:23 and 0:40) I'm gonna name him Gary because it sounds a lot like the Japanese word for diarrhea (下痢).
*That it isn't real.*
Then, we see her parents standing in a field, beckoning to her.

Disrespectful...that girl tried to kill herself.
"How much fun it is to party and scream" that part i think is about her parents screaming and yelling like its a party or throwing things? i think! :P
PancakeSexual Fujoshi thanks for lighting the mood but again she did try to kill herself so....
That's why her doll looked like that girl.
sad but a catchy song

This comment has made my day XD
+Brooke “Cat Lover” Skittles So it wasn't just me? xD
+Brooke “Cat Lover” Skittles Lol same. I was also thinking "This kid looks like she's 6 why is she going out by herself..."
Exactly! What kind of parents just let their young child go to the park alone?!
I'm pretty sure there's shows were they have their toddlers go out and get stuff in Japan.
If anyone's curious about the song's story, this is what I believe:
The girl's father is a workaholic, which causes her mother to have an affair.
That's a really cool way of looking at it!
So sad when the girl saw her dad happy with another little girl that she imagined her and him could be like D';
She saw what she would look like and how her family would be if he was her real father. The person the mom is with is the biological father.
Oh. Cool
:)
Ok. Well that makes sense. FUC- (i seriously need to chill.)
don't become calm! it's a trap!
I don't think this is a "sweet" ending though. Anyway, can you tell me what happens in the end in that story?
The sister realizes she's been wrong the whole time and that the fire was just an accident. She apologizes to her mother and moves on to the afterlife. At the same time, her brother wakes up from his coma.
the soul piper and the mischievous little soul? i love that episode too! ive been watching inuyasha forever, and got the finale straight from japan on dvd. tgfs. lol
Undead Ladybug thank you for spoilers....

It's what I want to say actually!!! The one of my favorite songs!
KitKat Paws this is the best theory I've seen! Well done!
huh i thought the last line meant she would kill herself the next day, since she said it in tears(just saying, your theory is nice)
I like the theory! But after looking through it again it, never showed the face of the man.
So genetically the eyes and hair could come from someone in the family of either the parents.
When looking closely you can see that the hand pulling her back has a white shirt, which the dad wears after waking her up.
@@itsshitposting yea but at 0:38 when the mother is cheating with aguy that guy has blonde hair just like the child so....
@@bloodyrose5623 I'd rather say her hair color is brown, a very light brown. At 0:22 there's even a guy with platinum blonde hair, she might have had multiple partners.

My life story told in one song, that is why I basically cried when the girl opened her eyes to see her parents crying
Tina Mao it’s the same with me I’m sad to say this is like my life in a way
In my opinion the father and the girl at the park are own her dolls ( father doll and herself as a doll ) the girl is holding the mother doll as she miss her mother. This was a cruel way for the doll to force the parents to love the girl ( at the end they hug her and the doll smiles and disappear)

I'm listening to this at 2:56 in the morning because this song has been stuck in my head. Kill me now-- OH NO WAIT-
lesson is, if you getting a kid you getting a flipping responsibility
If you are getting a kid, dont get them while cheating... dont cheat at all. Paternity fraud ruins everyone involved.
That's a really great theory!!
The doll is of the other daughter. And I'm questioning humankind right now.
Yes, but what about the girl with the hat? Who's she?
Izzy KawaiiKittens The Man and Womans child they created together. The child of both parents
+Echo Doragoni Really? I mean it makes sense, i guess. I'm kind of hesitant in thinking that though because there seems to be no doll for the little girl so it would be weird if the sister had a doll and not her...
Ok once I hear this song I immediately got hooked up on it!

The last word really got me you know the:
"We'll again come play the game"
About that word i think she means that her parents will fight again and the same thing will happen
"Tomorrow no one has to know"
I think it means either what happened today will be a secret or maybe it means like tomorrow the same thing will happen but nobody has to know
Anyone else translated the title? The title fits perfectly. "Lonely Envy" is what it translate to .
I kinda think its because she was going to hide the reason all of this happened to her parents, she didn't want to tell them that she was trying to commit suicide because of them.
why is it so legit and obvious that she would gonna cheat
I think the "tomorrow, no one has to know" is them putting this experience behind them, moving on, and in a way kinda hiding it from others? I interpreted the "no one has to know" more as a "nobody will have to know that this happened"
Actually the other little girl is the doll so she never got pregnant
Make sense
Lyrics: Easily playing, never bat an eye
Weeping and posing, another perfect alibi
Every day lonely, I’d rather play a game
Like a slow running stream of honey I crave
Looking at you now, yes, and even you
Was I unneeded? Was I just in the way, too?
Call me a phantom, never meant to be
Couldn’t be more fun to party and scream
Now
My, oh my, oh walk your way to me
Clap your hands, we’re traveling to the beat
Why, oh why, oh hurry up and leave
And again I come to see, I’ve been a very bad girl
Dreaming in color, burned it in my mind
But then I wake up with black as raven hands alive
Well, I was chosen to burn inside
Couldn’t be more fun to whistle and sing
Now
Crawling, crawling out tonight and see
Everyone up scrambling to the beat
Easy easy, envy all you need
Dancing on without a clue, she’s been a very blind girl
Counting 1, 2, 3, and 4 you better go and hide
Hiro-kun, Haru-chan, two that I find
Three and just don’t be it, barely breathing out a sigh
You caught me before I could try
Now
My, oh my, oh walk your way to me
Clap your hands, we’re traveling to the beat
I’m shivering slowly, raise a foot to leave
All alone sing bye bye
Hey
Find me, find me LOVE, I’m on my knees
Reach a hand but pricks me until I bleed
Fine? Oh fine? Sewn eyes I broke to see
We’ll again come play the game...tomorrow, no one has to know

did anyone else notice the girl at the end was the doll she had at the beginning. and at the end that girl was holding the dolls that were the parents. and at some part of the vid she was with the father.
+Wall Flower I think that she just saw the girl with her mom, felt Envy and made a doll out of her.
Also the father realizes that he loves his daughter even if she isn't really his blood-related daughter and the three of them live happily ever after.
nobody bothered to wonder why a little girl was in the train alone? And how did she even get on the train!
Ikr
maybe she stole money and got on looking like she was with someone
+Skyla Yamazuki probably
Because in Japan, it's actually really normal for a child to be riding the train or bus by themselves. They're taught at a young age to do things by themselves, like going to school by themselves even if it might going on trains by themselves. So that's why no one would really question it as much if they were to see a child by themselves, some might ask but most wouldn't because it's a nature culture thing in Japan.
oh ok. But isn't that dangerous? The kid could get kidnapped or something :/
2:44
I like the detail that the one who takes the girl by the arm is not the parents, it is the doctor
i thought it was the sad cuz he has a long white shirt
I love this song, don't get me wrong. BUT WHY IS SUCH A SAD SONG SO PEPPY SOUNDING AND CATCHY??? WHAT HAS THE WORLD DONE???
+Lauren Jones XD That's Vocaloid for ya!
roselover411 ;-;
*Cough* Kimi wa dekinai ko *cough*
Gee, does anyone have a coughdrop?
dont listen to melanie martinez then lmao
Fallen Uprising oddly, Melanie Martinez is one of my favorite singers XD
coming back to this after years you don't realize the small details like the first time, her clothes are torn and very rugged, as she faced the world alone. her heart must of shattered when she saw her father smiling with another girl
I love how catchy and yet depressing this is xD have you coverd triple baka, I think you would be amazing at it!

Get your tissues ready
YES YES YES YES THANK YOU THANK YOU
I had once interpreted that the blonde kid was an adopted child, because the parents lost their real biological daughter.
they could've adopted her to fill the void of the loss of their own child. but because they can't fill the void and keep fighting over the past. they're ignoring their adopted child and doing their own thing. and in the end she finally accepted herself and was accepted by them, even if she wasn't their biological child.
That's what I was seeing when first seeing it.
honestly the framing of how suicide did help is honestly pretty dangerous imo
I thought she had an accident
2:34 this part always makes me cry sm cuz i wish my parents would hug me like this and look so happy
I feel that 😞
anyone notice that the doll looks like the girl if she looked like her parents? her mothers brown hair and her fathers brown eyes
Yea! Thats why she made the doll, she knows that if she was a product of both Haru and Hiro that they wouldnt fight and maybe spend time with her.
fun story:
I'm 13 now, and i recently discovered this song and i feel like it really relates to me.
This is not me making this up.) and, basically, at 11 years of age i was put into a psychiatry for an attempted suicide and hallucinations (Like, everywhere i looked to, I saw myself dying and killing myself.) and then in the psychiatry my therapist would make up lies about me and wouldn't care that I tried to kill myself 7 times (the reason the last one didn't work, was because i had almost reached my wrist's vein by scratching up my wrist with an empty pen until it got to painful to bare and I started laughing and crying like an idiot about how terrible i thought I was.)
while in the hospital.
@@arie5055 Imagine having depression
