You guys missed the part where Hina says that Agha Ali showed her a picture of a plus sized woman and said keh aisi na hona... and then they proceeded to tell about "shaadi se pehla Wahid wada"
It is beyond messed up and Agha's explanations were even more problematic.
I feel most of our celebrities, especially the social media ones, don't know where to stop. Amna is right that they are vomiting out their personal lives and we arent interested. Sarah and Falak are going CRAZY with their shoots and their daily posts, kafi hogiya hai... aagye Bharo.
The only couple I have immense respect is for Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Aly. Its mindboggling how they have remained SANE when they had all the audience to go insane for. We got calculated pictures of their events and hardly any picture together after the shaadi. They are still posting their individual pictures. Didnt even post Eid pictures. That's one heck of a control for a new celebrity couple, who breaks the internet everytime they post.
Rest of them should learn from them.

When will our celebrities learn when to talk and when to shut up. I have been finding our celebrities very irritating these days.
Yes like a 4 years old. Have seen celebrities throwing shade at eachother, saying problematic stuff continuously and then they keep coming back to those who react like wth? Sometimes it feels like they do it on purpose for 'attention' which they don't get through their below average work.
There are hardly few sane celebrities to follow on social media.

One thing I've noticed is people always get influenced by negativity more. What Agha said is very problematic but it's sad that that is the only thing that our audience will "learn" from and not all the positive things Hina said about him, how he has never trie to change, but only accepted and encouraged her. And never placed any restrictions on her, on her career or social life. How he often does her hair, and make up and nails and mehndi because he used to do that for his mother. It's only the one negativity that will be focused on and overshadowed everything else. But in some capacity, it is also his own fault.

In my personal opinion, Ayeza, Mahira, Maya, Sajal, Ahad, Fawad, Imran Abbass, Bilal abbass, Yumna, Hammayun and Sanam Saeed understand how to handle fame the most. You won't see then make stupid statements or dump their lives on social media, even those who post a lot like Ayeza and Maya maintain grace and some distance and privacy. Of course every human being makes mistakes and screws up time to time but generally these people conduct themselves very maturely and professionally. I'm sure there are others too but these were the ones I could think of the moment

Fully agree with you Amina that child abuuse in masjids is a big safeguarding concern. That should be talked about .
As someone who has been struggling with weight loss since forever, not gaining weight is not always in one's control . The reason for weight gain is not always laziness. For people who have this tendency (which is a real thing , it is related to one's hormonal make up and body type), any number of things can cause weight gain. It can be triggered by stress and you cannot control it. Life keeps changing and it is not always possible to prioritize fitness over everything else (of course health is different, fitness and health are not the same thing). This kind of comments and then their attempt to justify it only shows ignorance and insensitivity. Even in private, it is okay to advise when you actually see your loved one getting lazy and advise them to be careful for their health, but to make it a life long demand is plain insensitive and just shows that you know nothing about it.

Agha's comment was really disheartening for a lot of us. Whatever their justification was, it was hurtful the first thing, especially for all those overweight people who are struggling. I loved her when i saw her in 'Rewind with Sameena' but lost repsect for her when she called Amir Liaquat on her morning show and justified his second marriage. She stooped so low when she said Amir's first wife didn't know about Islam becasue she didn't give permission for his second marriage.

When someone loses weight after a hard journey, it’s still hard for them forever. If she has that fear of always gaining weight and also of husband running away because of her weight, she will end up having anxiety and extreme depression!!!
I saw many ppl particularly men on twitter justifying what Aagha said. I hope they watch it and understand why it's not okay. Please understand that how ur spouse treats u either gives u confidence or takes it away from u. Unnecessary criticism and unrealistic expectations can make u lose ur self-esteem.

First of all Agha Ali’s explaining about his statement is totally wrong. He said because of directors & producers or nature of her job I want Hina to be slim!??! Seriously! I have been fat shamed all my life. I know how it effects psychologically. This is absolutely wrong.
