It's even more expensive to have those cars in the Philippines because luxury cars are taxed heavily you're almost like paying twice the car value if you buy it abroad. That's why corruption at customs are rampant. Last president went after the corrupt customs heavily when they destroyed billions worth of luxury cars brought in illegally.

Many upper class or alta in Manila. In general Filipinos are highly educated, have a decent job and have rich family as well and have many business. Others have a seconghsnd luxury car. Others can afford tp have including the tax bec they cane from a rich family, have a good job abroad before and have many business. Oh common man, the people who owned a luxury cars in Phils can affird yo have multi million houses amd luxury items lime bahs, shoes. The more they can afford to buy a luxury cars even a seconghsnd or brand new bec their family owned many business and these guys have worked abroad as doctors, engineers aside from the massive wealth that they inherited from parents, spouse. Most are businessmen who owned a massive land like sugar plantation etc. Others owned many business locally and abroad as well.

Dentists in Makati and BGC earns more than G7 nations. lol. Got my wisdom tooth surgery in western Europe, which was half the price of what was quoted to me in Makati.
I heard a Canadian vlogger couple say too that the charge was the same as in Canada, which shocked them.
Retain your wisdom but let that decayed tooth be uprooted in a dentist nearby but not in makati..there's a lot cheaper there.

Some Filipino Orthodontists have trained abroad and their equipment had to be purchased abroad too, thus they have to put in more capital and risk and sacrifices than their western Europe counterpart that's the reason for the price difference. Just like a bamboo chair that is so cheap in the Philippines but priced 100x more even when made in Europe.

You’d want to tell your husband to buy from bgc instead of importing your car. The taxes that you’ll have to pay costs twice the price, plus the hassle and the time it’ll take to get here
Please check with a reputable customs broker, you might end up spending more than 400% the price of a brand new exotic car bought from legitimate local importers. At worst, your beloved lotus might become one of the neglected cars left decomposing in the pier. Filipinos in the Philippines do not like exotic high performance cars. This is also one of the reasons exotic car loving Filipinos choose to live in other countries.

I have nothing against these friendly, genuine Filipino people, but my gut tells me that all these luxury car owners either had rich parents subsidize the cars or helped them along the way to start a business or gently encouraged them on their way to their dream careers.
All of those can't hold a candle to my dads" 24yr old toyota revo, that has enough mileage to go to the moon, circle it once, then come back to earth, and it still purrs like brand new.

70s-80s mercedes, 80s-90s toyotas and hondas are the only cars I will ever buy regardless of my budget. First thing, they run forever, second they don’t lose value. Maintain them right and you can resell them 10 years later for a profit. Try to get your money back from an Italian unreliable garbage that looks and sound cool. Good luck so they don’t break down before getting rid of it. 😂

I don't believe he's just a dentist. That's impossible to attain that car just being a dentist. I know he have some hide hustles.
He's an oral surgeon. Meaning he has 4 to 8 more years of training than a regular dentist. Plus, his clinic is located in BGC so probably he has celebrity and rich clients.
