    Mason and Regan are so polite and lovely. I sense that even if they didn't truly like something, they still said something positive about it. I think it's rare for teenagers these days to have good manners and be reserved. They were raised well.

      @@livethephilippines I don’t see anything that is criticizing the kids… I do think it’s a bit ridiculous to post public videos, using kids as a centerpiece, and then react this way if someone says something negative. You’re not immune from criticism when you’re posting public videos and monetizing the whole “we’re a family traveling” bit. Using kids as a shield is the behavior that isn’t normal.
      As someone who lives full-time in the Philippines as well, being insincere about your experience here is called pinoy baiting. You can say “oh, it’s being polite” but really you’re treating Filipinos like children. It’s almost 100% self-serving and it gives foreigners a skewed perception of what the Philippines is like. Lots of money in this though, so you’ll personally benefit from it, as it seems you are.

    List of Filipino desserts on video, just for reference for those viewers not familiar:
    @23:38 regional version Halo-Halo, Zamboanga's style w/no shaved ice.
    @24:20 Sans Rival (lit. unrivaled) = frozen meringue + cashews cake.
    @25:06 Brazo de Mercedes = meringue w/custard filling.
    @25:33 Inutak = glutinous rice, coconut milk, ube halaya.
    @26:03 Biko Latik = sticky rice cake + coconut syrup.
    @26:40 Ube Halaya
    The restaurant (Cabel) owner's name is JC Cabel Moreno. I assume that JC stands for Juan Carlos (former king of Spain), and that's probably why his nickname is "King". His younger brother Miguel operates Palm Grill restaurant, in Quezon City. Great video!

    I just want to point out that "Malacañang" is pronounced with the in the name making the /k/ sound, not with the /s/ sound.
    Other than that, I appreciate the effort you put in to say the names of the dishes. With some feedback, you guys will nail it slowly but surely. And boy, do I have a lot more feedback with pronunciation and stress! 😆 Also, props to Colt for nailing the pronunciation of "tiyula itum!"
    Speaking of Colt, I think he just wants to eat at the 17:45 mark...

    Actually HALO HALO means mix of everything. It can be use to anything like while u are washing clothes (mix the white with colored) ,cooking, or mixing something with something like any stuff.
    HALUIN ( means to mix) u pronounce it as HALU-IN
    HALO is the root word means MIX.
    So it's also appropriate to call to it mix mix.
    Nways...nice content guys.. ur becoming more Filipino now...mabuhay

    Will definitely try to visit that restaurant when I'm back in the country! It would be interesting if the teens could meet some local kids their age and get a feel for what teen life is like out there. 👍

    Even I, a Filipino citizen has never tried majority of the stuff you guys ate (ofcourse I love Lechon Kawali and ampalaya salad) very glad that Reagan and Mason loved each and every bite.❤️
    Malacañang is pronounced locally as “Malakañang”, emphasize the “c” to “k”

    11:49 That's the New Executive building, not the presidential palace. The Malacañang Palace is behind that building and more than 100m away from Cabel.

    Barong Tagalog is Filipino’s formal attire, which you can find SM’s Filipiniana department at the mall. Congratulations for your nomination for Pusong Pinoy Award. I saw that interview with Calvin Castiel.
