Tip-- dry leaves, crushed pine needles with some dirt, etc-- whatever dry natural material you have available will help in the plastic bag to absorb odor. Works very well, and much cheaper than the alternatives.

I use the same seat on a bucket, but put "poo powder" in the bag, which gels all of the contents in to a semi solid cluster. That takes care of the urine problem. Then we use the screw on bucket lid to contain the odor. Then dispose of ot as usual.

some great food for thought. My partner and I are approaching our sixties, and as we look ahead to going on a road trip around Australia in our rooftop tent, we face the challenge of coming up with a suitable/workable ablution set up that can effectively pass as "self contained".

Same place you would dump a dirty diaper (most garbage cans). You can contact the local garbage agency if you had questions on where you can throw them away.

If you use the kitty liter with the Home Depot bucket thing, which makes sense, but what do you do with the poop there after?
And now it’s covered with kitty litter? I’m sure it helps eliminate the smell as well. Which is a major plus, especially during the time before dumping it at a waste disposal center.

We have an old (easy set up tent... 4 person), that we now use for 2 reasons. During the day we use it for shade for the dogs... they love it! At night, thats where the poo bucket sits... we have privacy, it is no where near our sleeping tent and (as a woman... I don't have to walk to the washrooms at 2 in the morning, by myself!) 👍💩

Good overview video! For "car camping" I'm going with "Reliance Luggable Loo." I'll use their gel bags + some kitty litter and be GTG -- one bag for many days. I don't like flush toilets at home so no way am I going to bring one camping. Flush toilets and their sewer systems were invented during the Middle Ages. Let's move on. If you've ever used a _good_ composting toilet, you'll never go back. Now a bidet, I get that. But a bidet is not a toilet.

After using a poop bucket, where to properly dispose of bags with poop waste? If the power goes out for a long period of time and all we have is tents with poop buckets or even the port of potty. Is there a place to take your Poop waste in a bag in your home. You just don't put it in your trash, can do you? With everything that's going on in the world right now and I put up a couple. Privacy tents, 1/4 shower in the backyard by the end of the patio and the other one would have poop buckets or the porta party that you showed. We are in a house and a neighborhood where can you dispose properly the bag? Anything you have to offer while I continue to look at others Is places for this information your time is Is really appreciated. I don't Think that you put the waste in your trash? Can for garbage pick up or a dumpster Is somewhere in the city doesn't sound correct. Thank you for any information.

The easiest thing to do would be to call your local trash pickup for info. This article was helpful as well. cafemom.com/parenting/124241-a_law_against_putting_babys

How about trying an RV mobile park?
Surely they have RV’ers who eventually need to dispose of poop waste from their RV waste box.
The RV mobile park must have a vacuum that sucks all that stuff out plus, do water or chemical clean out.
      I was just thinking 🤔 💭💡

Walfart.. Walmart and Stores on Amazon Sell Bags Meant to Be Used and Thrown away in Household Garbage.. Even Tho %100 LEGAL to Throw those Bags into the Garbage, My Garbage Men Refuse to take My Garbage if I throw that Bag into it.. So I have to take the Bag to the Gas Stations down the Road where then the G-men Don't Realize it's in there. LEGAL Because Colostomy Bags and Diapers are Allowed. DO NOT PISS In Them! I use Bags and they Don't Smell/Stink because I Don't Piss in them. It's the Piss that Makes them Stink the Most. Piss outside or into a Modded Milk Jug and poor out in the yard in random spots..

Kitchen bag with cat litter in it over a $3 Walmart 5 gallon bucket and forget about it. Wash your ass in the river or lake if you don't have tp. That's what I do. Whatever do not wipe with a leaf it's the worst thing you can do. God knows what's on that leaf. My cousin Larry wiped with leaf once and died because he was allergic to it and his anus swoll shut and he couldn't poop. They tried to do surgery, but it was too late

Back in the day we used to take a shovel, dig a hole beneath a convenient tree fork, and drop everything into that hole and cover accordingly. We used to use paper bark to wipe our bits. We were in the surf everyday for hours, so we were squeaky clean all the time. Maybe nowadays my wife might complain if I presented her with that option and only that option.

Y’all think he’s bullshitting but random stuff in nature can kill you like that. Leaving a splinter of cedar in can kill you from sepsis in a few days. A tick attached to you for 48 hours could cripple or kill you from Lyme disease. Wu tang clan didn’t invent sewing a persons butthole shut and feeding them, nature did.
