I have the double, shower toilet area combo. Love it! Bought some restaurant rubber mats with the holes and the water goes right thru and the separate area keeps my towels and clothes dry. It also doesn’t seem as hot and stuffy I there. You are in a plastic bag in the sun, it’s hot in there. Just remember to put showers a distance from where you will walk, it takes awhile for the ground to dry.
@@CampingConnoisseur loved your video. Great sound and editing. I thank you for posting. BTW; those fly stips from the old days, at dollar general, the hang in the corners and keep flies down from the doors getting opened and closed frequently, just keep away from hair… far far away!
The potty shelter that folds and pops up like a car window shade is the easiest, lightest, folds flat tent. I had the pole one first, never again. A dollar store solar stake. Biodegradable wet wipes and premium paper. Waste basket for peed on paper to minimize volume in the potty.
Thank you for your insights. I had the tent you described initially, but it got bent somehow and could never be folded back up. I had to leave it at the campsite. I chose the toilet seat that I did because I camp in many places that are definitely not level. The risk of having it collapse on me is nil. It just depends on the places where you camp I think. Again thank you.
Just came over here from the seniors camping on fb, thanks for these great tips! I’m looking to change up my privacy tent to one that has the poles attached like this one!
Awesome! So glad you found my channel! This particular tent is so easy to put up and take down, and the quality is amazing. Definitely one of those things I look back on and think is an absolutely worthy purchase! I just got back from using it a week in the mountains in North Carolina and thought when I opened it up in the yard there was gonna be a little bit of a cleanup from all the buggy stuff And tree droppings, and all. Nothing. Absolutely nothing and in pristine condition like new! Love it!
I like your outdoor potty tent. Nice and spacious. If taking a shower, I would cover the toilet paper. I would have a bottom cover to keep snakes and mice out. Happy outing!
I bought a “privacy tent” a while back, and the problem with it was that when it was dark, you could see right through it when you used a light. How can a person tell if it’s opaque or not? I haven’t seen any that specify that.
That is something that I was concerned about too. This one has a reflective surface inside so you cannot see what a person is doing from the outside no matter how well lit it is. That’s one of the things I looked out for when I was reading reviews on it. I love it! My regular tents are much like that too. They have a gray interior that’s heavier and you can’t see a silhouette from the outside. This tent held up so well this last week in the mountains I was so impressed! Brought it home and thought for sure. Have dirt all over it and need a good cleaning. It looked like it was brand new! Lol This tent is one of those things that I am so glad I bought. 🤗
With that set up, you can have two rolls, one under and one over. Then when you pull on either, it doesn't unroll the other at the same time......duhhh!
Thank you so much for asking. I’m thinking you are talking about the table with the slats made of bamboo. I absolutely love that table! I am getting ready to do a video about it as it’s one of my favorite things for camping. Here’s a link for it on Amazon. www.amazon.com/dp/B0BKGW9RC4/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_YJAAAPETWR72G05Y9PWK?linkCode=ml2&tag=campingconnoi-20
So sorry about your arthritis. Yes, you can! I have arthritis in my hands and even worse in my shoulders. To get this tent up, you have to press two pieces together at the top. To do this I actually lean the tent a little bit over on the side because of my shoulders. After that, you put it back up and extend the polls out by pressing the release button on each leg, and just extending them out. When my hands are not doing as well, I will slip on some gloves, like gardening gloves that have rubber tips, to get a better grip and extend them out. I find the gloves, especially helpful if it’s wet at all. It is easy and a very high-quality tent.
Is that even a necessary question ! When you tear off the paper , it should be at the front of the roll, not behind . Sorry, any other opinion does not count. 😂 TU
😆😂😆 The smell in my tent was minimal at the most. I use the high-quality bags and I’ve been pretty impressed. And then there’s that mine doesn’t stink! 😆😂🤗
Depends on the commode used. Mine doesn't. But it's a theford porta potty. Also, pine pellets work. When liquid hits them the pellets absorb the liquid and turn to sawdust.
I use the ones that she uses and it really seals it. It’s like two bags. The inner one you roll down and the outer one zips. It is very heavy duty (no pun intended…duty-doody). Super expensive if you are supplying a whole family.
@judymurray191 I’m always amazed at how small the final bag is! So far, since it’s just me camping, I’ve been able to justify using them. The fact that they’re so compact when they’re done really helps, especially if you’re having to carry out like I did last time.
It’s treated with what looks like almost a metallic finish on the inside, and it really doesn’t have that transparency that a regular tent would. The inside fabric reminds me of what we used to use in photography and filming to reflect light from behind the studio lights. They kind of look like umbrellas behind the lights. It really is quite effective.
We used to, but I’m a bit older and things do change with age. Having a potty tent means that I can still participate in dispersed camping, which is fabulous!
I agree those head lamps are awesome, now that potty tent looks great too. New Subscriber here #63 Know I'm going to enjoy this channel always interesting in learning stuff like this
Thank you so much for your interest, and sorry for the confusion. The links are provided and available when you access the video through TH-cam. If you go into TH-cam and scroll down on the description, they are below the description. Here is the link for the tent, and let me know if you want to link for any of the other components please. Thanks again and happy camping! amzn.to/3USgPye
I would personally take a stun wand and/or bear spray in certain areas and perhaps just set up the P-tent with a can of wasp spray (for non-lethal deflection of uninvited guests ... 2 legged, four legged, and maybe slithering...)
Yes, I completely agree. With this tent there actually is a mesh flooring that can be pinned up out of the way when you’re using it as a restroom if you want. I keep mine pinned up but next time I am going to put it down. I was afraid it was going to get messed up, but now I don’t think it will at all.
TP rolls should always go over.
Exactly, it’s even in the patent papers
Not if I have animals. Too easy for them to unroll & drag it through the house.
And very possible the inventer did not have cats.

Great advice and definitely the restaurant mats would make a world of difference if you’re using a shower tent. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for your kind words. The fly strips are great idea, unless maybe if you have really long hair. 😆

Garden flag holder is a good idea
Thank you!
Over. what a great idea to use a flag pole for toilet paper!
I would love to take credit, but a friend sent me that idea. It really works well too.
😂 too funny! But I suppose it is helpful. Toilet paper 🧻 rolls over, never under!
Right?! 😊
Spoken by someone who has never owned a cat.

Pure genius!!! Thank you so much! 😂
Always under for me!
Honestly, me too. I can’t believe how many people are staying over! 😆
@@CampingConnoisseur it's so much easier, I feel
You can tell by the embossing on the toilet paper. The finished side is always on top.

WE always tp rolls under 1 cats can't unroll them 2 if they are slightly unrolled it's not in the way nor gets caught on a show or clothes.
Two excellent points! Thank you! 😻

Very possible the inventer did not have cats. The "right" way for me is opposite. Makes it difficult for cats to drag through out the house.

That’s what I like about it. It can be used for both. It’s nice and roomy and has everything you need for both. 🤗

A tent with no built-in floor is gross. Sometimes the ground is gross and you need a floor, especially if you're showering.
