Great! Thank you! All the little details that I wondered about. I was planning on going with it, but I wasn’t quite sure how all the little things worked. Thank you for the demo
Thanks Ben. I wanted to empty it out ASAP after use, like maybe one hour or so, cause it's in a travel van, and the manual says it shouldn't hold too much liquid(3/4 full) for risk of spillage while in motion. would you know from experience that if emptying that soon after use liquid would come out of the spout? I see you also mention chemicals last 4 days in the waste tank, does that mean that after 4 days you should empty the tank and add new ones?
You need to put some water in the waste tank when adding the chemicals anyway so your waste will still pour out of the cassette, as to how liquified it is is dependent on how long the waste has been there but I don't think you need to be overly concerned, just empty it whenever you are near a dump point. The 4 day recommendation is likely based on how long the chemicals remain effective for, generally people empty their toilets every 1-2 days anyway. ~ Ben
I'm not sure sorry, Dino, being the retailer we are best to advise that the recommended Thetford products are used, but hopefully someone in the camping community can offer some feedback on whether or not they have tried this. ~ Ben
how long after use does it take for the chemicals in the waste holding tank to liquify waste? I'm interested in emptying waste tank as quick as possible in only liquid form. Also, there are different brands of waste tank treatment, like aqua max, aqua bio, and campa fresh. Do they all perform the same?
I can't seem to find anywhere that specifies a timeframe, Mauricia, but the chemicals generally last 4-5 days in the toilet and I know many people empty their toilets every 1-2 days without issue. I suspect that as long as you are using a quick to degrade toilet paper you should be fine within about a day. It's the paper that tends to take longer to break down and cause blockages. ~ Ben
