- Prior to becoming the post apocalyptic world we know today, the world of Fallout was one beset by wars. The Sino-American War was a devastating conflict which saw many casualties ranging from people to entire countries. Canada was one of these unfortunates who was destroyed during the war however the nation ceased to exist not by an enemy but instead by the hands of one once considered a friend: The United States of America.

Canada's annexation is a great excuse to make a game based on Toronto, since it survived in some way, and would still maintain the american themes and satire, one of the cornerstones of the series.
That would be interesting. I like to see both Toronto and Ottawa. I also like to see how the American occupation effected the local population and how the Canadian residence did to fight the U.S. Military.
I also like to see a game where it takes place in China. Precisely in the American occupited areas. Like Nanjing and Shanghai. To see the war up close and if there is anything left of the U.S. Military.
Also one game set in Europe wouldn't be bad. Like to see a destroyed London or a totally blasted Berlin.
This would feel Hella weird and I'm perfectly fine with that shit. That'd be interesting
imagine if there was a civil war type quest where you can either help Americans push away Canadians rebels but also decide if you wish to help the Canadian rebels push back a strong American presence

I don't know if you mentioned in the video, but it's also mentioned in Fallout 2 that the annexation of Canada resulted in it being awarded 10% of the world's remaining oil supply in a GNN transcript in the Sierra Army Depot. So even though, it was considered a U.S. territory and not a state, it was still awarded a sizable amount of resources. I mean 10% was pretty significant when the rest of the world couldn't even get 1%.
True however, I think Bethesda said it need to review the lore at Sierra Army Depot. Possibly to change the lore.
As a Canadian, knowing that 10% of that oil was from Alberta
Likelihood is the 10% was just the resources they were not able to transport out of Canada so they decided to just leave it in Canada, allot of our resources are in very uninhabited locations in the middle of nowhere with no roads, airstrips or water ways to get to them so some of the resources would have been left behind because of lack of transportation options.
I really like how you use real world military footage set to grayscale to simulate something that might be seen in Fallout. I think you're the only Falloutuber that I've seen who does this.

Would never happen. Canada isn't a setting with mass appeal and to be honest I'd much rather explore areas in the US and Mexico first and expand on already existing nations in the post apocalypse.

I think the devs, when making the story, were trying tos how how much things were broken in the world at the end when even to nations that had a brotherly relationship could cut eachother's throats to win a war, one could consider the world dead by the time the resource wars began because even if the bombs didn't drop how much longer you think the world would of gone on?

If there were ever a Fallout game set in Canada, I feel like it'd be a good time to have the Enclave again, probably still antagonizing the Canadians like their predecessors.
The Enclave antagonizes everyone who is not "pure human" in equal parts, everyone not part of the Enclave are just filthy muties. Post-war Americans and Canadians and everyone else would have to fight back.
Kinda feeling a mixture of every emotion that we didn't get Fallout Extreme. 😭
I would want to one day to explore the Canadian territories. possibly see what Vault Tec would have done with their vault up there, maybe see scars left behind from the occupation that still haunt the people there long after The U.S and the world have been gone.
Unfortunately, Vault Tech had no vaults in Canada. Mainly due how recent annexation was before the Great War.
However, they could have dug out areas where they planned on placing vaults, but never completed it in time.

Seeing clips of ur home town (longueil/montreal) in a fallout video gives me hope for a videogame set in Montreal apart from deus ex. 4 minute and a couple seconds and you'll see the clips of the drone flying over st Helene Island and looking down onto the gettho that is longueil.
The most unrealistic thing about this is Canadians fighting for their country against America instead of shrugging their shoulders and making a plate of poutine for their occupiers.

I would love to see a fallout game set in Alberta Canada just complete Alberta with all the little towns and places it would be such a large and just cool map seeing some little town in the middle of nowhere to just have survived and people peacefully living there Edmonton would be gone as well as Calgary being the largest cities in alberta but all the little towns that most people didn't know existed just scattered around some surviving others not that would be a great game.
If they had all the towns and stuff it would be cool to visit my house lol

@@remimk we're a young and angry country. We haven't had thousands of years to make traditions. Just a couple hundred, and even during those couple hundred years we've pretty much always in a war with someone. Our fault or not. Probably ours. But survival and resources are important to anyone.
I think there will be a future fallout dlc based in canada, but an entire game would never take place there

Great video actually but here is the issue. America didn't firmly have its soldiers in Canada at all in the beginning, when American troops were allowed to enter they were allowed to guard both the pipeline and their supply lines, and also to proceed north to the front in Alaska. It wasn't until the annexation of Canada in 2072 or whatever that American troops started to deploy throughout the rest of the country and take control of major Canadian cities, which saw huge riots both in Canada and in the United States by Americans sympathetic to the Canadian situation, regardless as shown in a map of annex Canada in Fallout 3 America is never actually fully able to gain control of Canadian territory with areas in the Northeast portion of the country shown separately. An entry also stated that Canadian resistance continued until the day the bombs fell. A Canadian resistance member income that are American be seen being executed by a soldier in power armor during the intro of Fallout 1
If Ottawa were a Fallout game location, it would likely be a post-apocalyptic wasteland with a mix of abandoned government buildings, ruins of national landmarks, and underground bunkers. Here's a possible concept:
Name: Ottawa Wastes
Location: Former capital city of Canada, now a radiated and ravaged landscape.
Setting: The city is divided into factions vying for control, including:
· The Parliament Hill Raiders: A group of marauders occupying the ruins of Parliament Hill.
· The Rideau Canal Traders: A trading post and settlement along the Rideau Canal.
· The National Gallery Nomads: A group of artists and survivalists using the National Gallery as their base.
· The Byward Market Scavengers: A faction of scavengers and hunters operating in the Byward Market area.
Notable Locations:
· The Parliament Hill Ruins: A heavily irradiated area with valuable loot and resources.
· The Rideau Canal Locks: A series of underwater locks and tunnels providing access to hidden areas.
· The National Gallery Museum: A makeshift settlement and art studio.
· The Byward Market Bazaar: A trading post and marketplace.
Quests and Storylines:

Imagine this. Canadian and french Canadian tribes suffer under the boot and heel of a loosly United army of Raiders Who's the lineage can be tracked to the us Army Garrison station in the area. Each raider group can have a unique identity corresponding to their desending military company along with their traditions and culture. One group could be former cannibals moving towards a spiritual path seeking personal redemption and forcing the local triebs to follow suit. Another group could be ethically cleansing the local Chinese Canadians as they follow old 200 year old American orders and only those orders as they see them as a guid to live life by, the last group can be an economic power among the three through the use of slaves with the slaves being mainly of freanch speaking Quebec descendents.
Forgot to mention, but the first group of repenting cannibals using faith are trying to revive a dead religion to earn redemption, Christianity.

I do like how one of the themes in Fallout is a criticism and over the top portrayal of the US military industrial complex and jingoism. How like Liberty Prime for instance spouts anti communist/chinese propaganda and the country portrays itself as preserving democracy. However at the same time the US essentially became a far right fascist country under the Enclave and big corporations and did stuff like invade Canada and create concentration camps
Collution of state and corporate powers is far leftist. Fascism is an offspring of socialism created by italian marxists like Giovanni Gentille.
They also invaded Mexico to take over the oil reserves there as well. The whole of fallout is an exaggeration of every evil of the US and the greed of humans. Heck even in 4 and 76 lead is found in paint and kids toys, likely indicating a massive amount of lead poisoning among the American population, which likely lead to increased aggression among leaders and people
