“First test drive..Nice n slow..” As he rockets out of the shop… 😂 I had a really bad day at work and watching your channel takes it all away. Thanks for another great video!
So nice to see you take the extra time and little extra cost to use stainless steel fasteners. Plasma cutter took this project to next level. Nice work.
What a pleasant mid-week surprise to find a vid from you! But, DUDE! You're confusing me on so many levels - LOL! I'm an old man and cannot remember what day it is half of the time, anyway. Now you've got me thinking that it's the weekend!! Also.... watching the vid gave me a creepy feeling of dejavu all over again! "Did I see this vid already????" LOL!!! JUST KIDDING! Your content is the best!
You should really take the time to review your steps of removing the old battery tray and the fabrication and install of the new one. Why.......? Create a set of instructions/plans on how you did it as well as an easy step by step instruction for the new battery kit hook up. I know folks would easily pay for a "how to" package on this upgrade. You'd make some $$$! My brother has this same golf cart for cruising around the community at his beach place. The batteries are so so and I've already turned him on to this video. Well done sir!
Kyle, soo,.. Where's the pom-poms for the girls? And I'm pretty sure you DID install that little cooler under the seat!... (off camera!) Nice build, now finish the play house and get onto the log splitter build! Winters comin! ❄️❄️🎄!
Nice setup, and great job replacing the old battery tray! I wonder if that wire to the solenoid was missing from the beginning, (not that you removed it when you tidied it up)and that's why it wouldn't move at all when you first got it (even with poor batteries). keep up the good work!
Ordered mine on monday and it will be here 8/6. Same setup, EZ-GO TXT. I've been on the fence and looking at different brands and was sold on Big Battery after your video and Neil's. I saw Neil's a few months ago and first tried to get the same model he has, but they discontinued it. I use my cart on 6 acres for all the maintenence on the property...have for 14 years and it was (again) time to replace the batteries. What/where did you dispose of the old lead acid batteries?
@@seansullivan1439 awesome! I think you will really like the lithium setup. I will take the batteries to the scrap yard. Might get $30 on scrap for them
Hi kyle. I have a question not necessarily related to the video. Are you using cold or hot rolled steel? I have been using hot rolled. I'm curious if cold rolled is worth the extra cost. Thanks.
@@Berensmetalworks i typically use hot rolled. Its cheaper and isnt so sensitive to moisture if bot used right away. The cold rolled is nice for welding or any kind of brushed finish though. The plasma cutter likes the cold rolled better too.
Now you need a 3D printer, unless you already have one to print a charge cable port. I printed a little switch box for a double 24v under cabinet lighting for my wife. I was going to use the switch for the lights on my 3D printer but whats the saying "happy wife, happy life!"!! the amount of crap you can print is insane!! I have a few ender3v2's since they are cheaper than Bambu but Bambu's have newer tech in them too. Great Vid!! *****Edit**** I could have sworn I was having Dej Vu with this video... did you just add "Not Actural Speed" when you left the garage?
@@mike.the.estimator704 ya i had to reuse some of the footage for the install video. I tried to make them as different as i could. I do have a 3d printer. Thats how i learned cad. Its a creality 10s pro or something.
@@SpicerDesignsLLC sweet! I have the 3 e3v2s and a cr10smart that upgraded with a bondtech direct drive and Swiss hotend! This is some cool stuff and hope to see some more stuff like this or the finished swing set!
Not happening! My 36 volt cart needs battery. This was a nice video if person likes watching you build something. About 2 weeks ago I could bought 3 battery for less, 36 volt. No charger. No gauge. I done some reading and you don't really need a charger. Yeah they say it will only charge to 80%. I do have small Lithium charger < of course it will charge normal battery if I adjust button > for my trailer. Portable, Jeff will sell me another charger too. My golf cart gauge is bar and I bet it will work. My old gauge in trailer was on old battery and with Lithium it works just fine. 100ah new battery, old batteries are 220ah so makes me wonder if new will last very long. I put 3 12v 100ah in there as test years ago. They ran about half as long as 220ah batteries. So I will buy 1 battery sometime $780 < large increase >today and find out what happens. Price will go back down.

Wait...what? A mid-week video release? Is it my birthday already? Very informative step-by-step. I like beefy too.
Thank you for sharing!
Great job😊
Wait, why did you mount the charger in the cart? I mounted my charger on the wall where I park the cart??
The charger comes with ring lugs on it to permanently mount to the battery. I can charge it anywhere which is nice. Can do it either way I guess
I think the cart should be beamed “Beefy”. Good job on the tray. I hate dealing with rust.
thats awesome where did you get your magnet hold down clamps these are sweet
I made them a while back as an experiment . They are good for light duty.
