Ive been using this Kaka Vice Brake for a while..works great: amzn.to/3BK6jiJ
I have a harbor freight 20t press and I bought a Swag finger brake kit for it to bend some 1/8" plate. It will bend up to 19 inches wide. They do make wider finger brake kits for larger presses but 19" is as wide as the brake will go for the harbor freight 20t press. I am making an electric cart and needed to bend some 1/8" by 18" long plate for a skid plate. It bent it very easy and did a perfect job. I also have installed an air operated 20t jack on the press to make it quicker and easier. You can buy a harbor freight press, air bottle jack and Swag brake kit for under $800.
That's a nice MACHINE! That black-on-black MACHINE hat is dope too! I will say, watching you bust a nugget on a manual brake makes me realize how good the guys in our shop have it. I program the CNC machines for them, but they are spoiled with these Trumpf CNC press brakes we have at work. haha Love your vids, man!
Hah! Thanks buddy. Ya the hydraulic press would be nice
NBS welding youtuber has a KAKA brake and he uses an overhead hoist to lift the handle when bending thicker gauge steel. You may need to build an 'A' Frame hoist above the unit so you don't blow out your O-ring.
Nice Machine! Maybe you can bring the mini X in to pull on the bars for those big bends!
Score the bend line with a grinder or possibly make it in two pieces and weld it at 90 if you have the capability. Full width 12 gauge on that would be really pushing it. Also, keep the metal to be bent towards the side and not in the middle. The area with the greatest deflection in the machine is the middle and the sides are more ridgid
Machine I like the hats! Black on black is great!
Machine, I'm from the UK and have the exact same box and pan folder, different name on mine, love it for what use it for. We always use to put a piece of 3x2 angle along the front edge to give u more leverage and support on thicker plate
MACHINE, MACHINE, MACHINE!!! I like MACHINES are my Passion, there's nothing like a Good MACHINE..................DUH! I wish I had a GREAT MACHINE HAT.
I could wear it while I have a Keystone while DOING wood working on my Table Saw MACHINE. Thanks for the Video about this MACHINE!!

Machine;
My back hurts.
Made a trade, I had 10 aluminum brake traded for boat trailer. After trade, this man seen my shop he gave me two PEXTO box and pan brakes. Both are frozen in rust. Looking for plastic tank so I can use electric to remove the rust. Hats off to new things.
I have made a decision on one! But, sorry to said not that one! Thanks for sharing! Machine! 👌👍
Looks like a nice Machine! Add a hydraulic ram to it and it will bend 10 gage thick material. Don't abuse that Keystone girl by making her help you bend.
I suspect you will find the max. width is based on much thinner material at full width. Maybe the adjustment for the handle needs moved out? Nice machine, good luck and be careful with your back.
Thanks for sharing.
I have the Grizzly model GO542 48” pan and box brake. Just checked the current price and it’s up to $2925. I’ve had mine for a number of years and haven’t been able to break it yet despite my best efforts. This past Saturday I was able to brake 4 pieces of 14 gauge that were slightly over 48” long to over 90 degrees by myself but it took all I had and I was glad there wasn’t a 5th piece. But, I was able to do it and you’re much younger than myself.
Good to know. I really like it so far. I can see it taking a toll on the back after a couple brakes
Machine! awesome metal break. Will be looking into this model for the shop. thank you.
Machine!! Love the channel, bro, I am learning quite a bit. Thanks for all the effort
KAKA - great name for Chinese products !
:32…..that’s what she said, literally. Oh you lucky man….
then at 14:50, I was afraid for your life with that steel hanging out the back of the break lol…
Great channel Machine.
Your whole family has the COMEDY gene!
The girls are hilarious. Theyre always crackin us up.
Love the comedy ! Machine! Keep up the great contect
You're right about it needing more leverage. I couldn't tell from the video, but it did look like there might be a way to slide the part with the hand grips farther out,, or down on the shafts they are connected to. Consider that in order to half the effort you have to double the distance from the axis, so you could make your own handles if you wanted to. Oh yeah. "Machine". ( could always use another hat.
If i extend it down like your saying it will give me a larger radius and be easier to bend. Im going to try that next time i use it.
It did not break (pun intended) so it's tough and all is good. No one can change the amount of force needed to bend metal, longer arms would increase operator leverage and make it practical to operate single handed. Nice well built manual brake. Ray
Thank you for the video. I am looking at the same machine and maybe the next bine down. Can wait to get it. Cheers
Nice breake the knives is hardend steell that's really important it's gonna last a long time. Nice update for you shop it's give some much work potentiële.
Thank you!
Great team work on the new "Machine"! Good review!
1:08 you do a lot of metal signs made out of metal? What a concept! HEHEHE
Another great video. Love the hats. Machine!!!
One heck of a Machine you got there!
Machine - an apparatus using or applying mechanical power and having several parts, each with a definite function and together performing a particular task
Weld up a pivot with bottle jacks for the long and thicker bends
Haha I forgot I had an Alexa in my living room until you started making it play while I was checking out your new " Machine "
Hah! That happened to the girls too when they watched the video in the tv. Started playing techno
What you could do is put rollers on the handles then get your fork lift & use that make the bend. Depending on how much you are going to use that bender get a small moter - that could be your best move.
This is the first time that I have come across you. It is going to be interesting to see how you do.
Thanks for the suggestion. I might be open to adding some hydraulic cylinders down the road. I will mostly use it for 14ga and i had the radius too tight when i bent the 12ga. Shouldnt have been that hard to bend if the radius wasnt so tight. I will for sure make some detachable cheater handles for it.
That is a nice machine. It seems like it could handle 12GA 40” but if your not going to be bending that size very often you could make an attachment that could sit in the middle at an angle at the bottom for a bottle jack made with two pieces of tube steel one that would fit in the other and have holes drilled out down the sides so you can slide a pin through the tube steels as the bottle jack maxes out and for the top you can make a crossmember out of tube steel with a cutout on one side so it can slip around the handles and be welded in the middle to the outer tube steel with the pin holes drilled in it. Also if you don’t want to be working on your knees 😉 you could buy one of those air powered bottle jacks from harbor freight and run the air line to the top of the break to operate the jack. Just a thought once again great video as always and great editing.
Ya thats a great idea. Thanks!
I wonder if you use a couple of those air over hydraulic rams that HF sells. Maybe pin one end to the bottom slightly back from the pivot point and the other end somewhere near the handles.
Like the video. Machine. Now you can make tool box's. Can't wait to see all the awesome things you make. God bless.
Thanks Dan! This will be a great tool to have and gives me more options which is great.
Machine, always keep it lubed & working!great video!
I have a Pexto 48 finger brake. Like most brakes, the manufacturer lists the max gage you can bend, but some explain that to bend the max, you can only do so many inches wide (as you were finding out). I'm guessing that to bend a full 40", it is probably rated to 18 or 20 gauge, with 30" it'd be 16 or so. 12" most likely would be where they rate at the 12 gauge. Pretty similar for most finger brakes. For bending anything like 12 gauge and thicker, I usually use my H Press to bend. Less stress on my old back. Oh, "Machine" as well. Nice hats! I will be getting a Langmuir system soon, just have to make room in my shop somewhere! Love your tutorials. I've learned a lot before I get it!
Thank you! I have seen that stated with other brakes. Good point
I bought the 48" box n pan brake.. bends 12 ga. Pretty easily with the counterweight.
Nice Machine
Another great Machine video
Thanks Brad!
She is a machine for sure 😉
machine, been looking at thes brake as well , thanks for the review
Awesome video. Thanks for the review of the KAKA.
“Machine”
You can fab up some extensions for the arms to give yourself some more leverage. Or if it is still hard to break with the extension, add a lifting eye and use your front end loader to lift.
Id like to build a set of removable cheaters for it. A couple people mentioned increasing the radius on the bend too. I was trying to brake it with a pretty tight bend.
next time Andrew Camarata style... use the tractor fork on these handles and lift the thing lol
Look's like a good machine!
Love the "MACHINE" and the channel keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
Great Video!! Machine...
Machine! I knew keystome girl would do it! Haha
I’ve been thinking about getting a break for awhile now for now I have to put in a lot of relief cuts to bend by hand and then weld
Ya thats what i was doing too. Very time consuming and its never perfect like a clean break. I think this break will do the trick for me. I just have to adjust the radius for heavier material. I tried to brake it too tight in the video
Love the Machine
Glad you finally got a well oiled machine with plenty of fingers.
I think you are on the right track. Machine!!
As someone mentioned, if you read the instructions my guess is the information will be there. On the handle that you tightened the nuts to secure that is so it can be adjusted out to allow thicker material to be bent. The thicker the material the more room it needs between the fingers and the brake that you pull up to make the bend. This also adjust the bend radius which you should be doing about 1x thickness for steel. Try it. Might save your back. and yes "Machine"
Ya i didnt realize that. Never used a brake like that before. I appreciate the info and i will definitely give that a try.
Kyle, that KAKA is big step up from the 3in1 Harbor freight, but I still think yer gonna bust a nut with that MACHINE!
Haha! I think i already did. I had a couple of good tips in the comments that should help.
MACHINE!!!! Glad you got a better brake, but "Why is it so hard?" LMAO
I have the Jet version. it was a good price to me. I have had it for about two years and love it. it is very heavy duty. I think it will fit your needs
Good to hear. I do really like it. Should be perfect for what im doing.
Machine!
You guys make me laugh, thanks!
Great content! Machine!
Machine
Also, could prob rig something up with the forks on the tractor to lift the handles for the heavier breaks. 🤔
great work Kyle !!! MACHINE jim in Jax, FLA
Machine Thanks Kyle!
Machine me a hat. Black on Black. One of my favorite AC/DC songs. The spelling is a little bit different though. lol
Machine. Love the channel. And subscribed
Thanks! Much appreciated
Machine! Looks like a good piece of equipment. I think you are going to need to build some extensions for the lifting arms to get the extra leverage. I think one of the Sage hats is calling my name. Sending an email.
Love your machine fetish, More MACHINES, and by the way more content with the kids, they keep you honest as all kids do. Great job
Thanks Mark! They definitely keep us on our toes.
Love the new nut buster Machine :D ... good luck much better then the 3 n 1
Machine!!! I fell on a pogo stick saying this!!
Hah! Been there…done that
Pick up one of the big air-hydraulic rams from harbor freight and fab up a way to mount it on the frame so you can just push a button and watch it bend. With the ram mounted to the base and pushing up on the bending leaf you wouldn’t even need to bolt it to the ground.
Good idea
I love the way the Keystone girls flexes those thighs and biceps. I think she was holding back... I don't think she wanted to show Kyle what she really had. hehehe
I like it all but the lower arms and if you have a longer sheet of metal you would have to reach under the metal to get to the arms. But other wise it is a great MACHINE!!!!!
Machine. I enjoy your channel, have my own cnc plasma and also have the exact same Baileigh Brake
Thanks! Seems like a nice brake so far
Great channel. Inspiring me to start a plasma cutter business. Sounds like a great side gig. MACHINE
Theres money to be made.
Machine
Truly should have gotten the unit with the counter weights, much easier on the body to be able to push and pull with and the counter weights help with the balance of the lower leaf.
Machine! 🔩⚙️🪚 Another great video! Keep up the great content!!
Are you sure you’re saying that right…?🤔 KaKa
Hell i dont really know.
Thank god you went with Richardson...best hat manufacturer, bar none.
I really like their hats. Fit great too
1. What model Kioti tractor do you have? I've got a 6620 and I absolutely love it. Much better and more features than the green or other orange tractors.
2. That brake looks like a nice MACHINE. But one thing you need to know is the max rating on any leaf brake the full width is going to be a handful. I have an old Chicago 8ft 16ga straight (no fingers) brake. To do 6ft of 16ga I have to bounce the two large counter weights during the bend. The extra force of the impact bends the thicker longer pieces.
3. What I would try since you don't have counter weights is fabricate a handle than slips onto the folding bar with longer handles. Position them at say a 45° angle or so to eliminate the need to bend your back so far. Then maybe you dont need the help of Keystone girl. Might be worth a try since you've already spent the $$.
I have a CK2610. I love it. I have some upgrades for it coming up. Thanks for the info on the brake
MACHINE! GO HEELS!
Great design hat MACHINE Ya hoo
Thank you! I spent quite a bit of time designing it. I have some more stuff coming out soon with the Machine brand.
Machine! Machine! Machine!
Heels shirt ! Let’s go NC
MACHINE! MACHINE! MACHINE!
I like that hats!! Machine
Machine! Just watching you made my back hurt!
When i saw that crate, i immediately thought he found the Ark of the Covenant... but no just another Machine. 🍻
Bet Keystone Girl likes how bendy you are. Like a MACHINE 😂
You have all the M A C H I N E ....S i want. you're doing all the types of work that I'm aiming to get into. I'm a pretty avid welder (TIG) but looking to expand my M A C H I N Es arsenal. Keep up the great work! love your video's!
Edit, i can see a very simple adapter being cut on your CNC M A C H I N E to make your new break an air over hydraulic assist. Unless you add some longer grab bars or heavier counterweight. Air over hydraulic will probably be the simplest.
Thats awesome. Hopefully our content is helpful. Im not an expert by any means but its pretty fun figuring out some of these machines.
@@SpicerDesignsLLC neither am i, my guy. we'll learn together!
You could always build a dual cylinder hydrolic system powered by an electric motor. Save the sacks!!
MACHINE.
Kyle I’ve been subscribed since the time you guys lived In NWI. I’m from Michigan City and work in East Chicago. Union Sheetmetal work 25 yrs. I got same tractor too open station though, Ronson equipment great people to do business with!!
Oh nice. We may have ran into each at some point. I worked in that area all the time. I used to work for hyre. Ronson is great people. Highly recommend them.
Fuck yea !
Just add hydraulic cylinders and a pump. You have cnc plasma table and a welder.
That's quit a MACHINE you have there!
Nice KaKa MACHINE. I see you had to put the 6-5 comment in there.....nice touch
I gotta jab him when i can
MAcHiNe - Bolt it to the floor and incorporate a hydraulic jack and save your back.
MACHINE!!
MACHINE!
Machine!!
Machine, love the hat design.
I never saw you set the blade offset for your material thickness.
Each thickness ( gage) of metal will have a different spacing offset between the blade ( top punch) and the bottom (die).
The top should move back about the metal thickness of the material to be broke( bend).
Good luck and have fun with your new toy
Thanks for the info. I am going to try to increase the radius using the lower adjustment as suggested in a couple of comments. Ive never used one of these before so I need to get it figured out.
