Our Map is our [1]MaPa in this Life journey. Both used and present on this song. This is a masterpiece written by Pablo in collaboration with the rest of SB19. The release of the magical song was intended between the mother’s day and father’s day since the song is for them.
This is a love letter to our parents. For some if not most, we barely tell our parents how we feel inside. This masterpiece will help us do another move to tell them how much we value and love them.
In the song, “we will never get lost because we have the Mapa (Map)”. The map represent our parents. The things they taught us, the sacrifices, the advice they give and hardships. We will never get lost so long as we have the Map (Map). The Map that we can bring anywhere we go. The map that contains all the leanings and guidance our [1]MaPa gave us.

They are the first Filipino and Southeast Asian act to be nominated in Billboard Music Awards for the Top Social Artist category. Bagged multiple awards from MYX, WISH and moreee.

Recently I lost my Grandfather, he was my father figure. He taught me everything I know about life. I told him before he die "ako na tay. Ako na ang bahala sa kanila. Wag ka na mag alala". He squeezed my hand and he died 2 days after that.

They even have solos that you'll need to explore. One comment though, they sing in both Tagalog, the Filipino language and English. Their lyrics are so inspiring so check for English subs. New to your channel! I'm pleasantly surprised that you immediately caught the wordplay! The third meaning of MAPA is "mata" (eyes, for Mama) and "paa" (feet, for Papa).
As a rapper, you might be interested to know that SB19 are absolute beast rappers. The rap line (3 of the 5 members) have very distinct but equally topnotch rapping styles. Pablo has a lot of rasp and grit in his voice, is very quick, and can be an absolute animal when he gets carried away. Josh does melodic rapping with a lot of expression, sometimes a bit flirty, but he can definitely go hard too. Ken raps with a deep, dark, velvety voice. Their new song, Gento, showcases all these styles really well.
But as you discovered, they're also great vocalists. They also write and produce/co-produce their songs, are great dancers who can choreograph their own dances, and are absolute monsters live. There's such immense talent in this group, and MAPA is only the tip of the iceberg.

They have a newly released song that I think would suit your taste. Check out their Gento song. I've watched them accidentally in their first US Tour in Palladium and I was blown away. I ended became A'tin LOL my favorite is their Mana song.
SB19 is a different n unique group. All the five members can sing LIVE, rap, dance n do choreography and creatives..MAPA is the very first song that made me love these boys...can you think of a boy group today who can even think of composing a song in gratitude of their parents? They love n respect their parents..these boys have the right values and are so humble..we truly love them
J-Hope of BTS wrote a solo song "Mama" in 2016, thanking his mom for all her efforts to support him (Hey Mama, now you can lean on me) . In 2015 Jin of BTS released a cover of the song "Mom", also dedicated to the songwriter's mom. Suga of BTS wrote songs about his life that included his parents' tribulations (Amygdala). What I love about Mapa is the multiple play on the title and the poetry of the lyrics as well as the great vocals.
Pablo, the leader, is a genius! He takes word play in their songs into a different level. You can really try to explore their other songs and performances. They are vocal monsters on a live performance.

‘Lataratara’ is like a filipino lullaby you sing to your children when you put them to sleep, derived from “la tierra” in spanish which means “my world”. So this song is like a tribute to their parents.
Now that you've gotten the slow, somber, sentimental "Mapa", might I recommend another song from SB19 called"What"? It's a more fast-paced song with bilingual rapping and actually portrays the group singing. :D
