The instrumentals are from a Filipino folk dance called, "Cariñosa" and it's a dance where a handkerchief or fan is used as a prop to carry out a romance scenario. So not only did Ez wear the Filipino colours but was also referencing the dance 🇵🇭

yes, Spain colonized the philippines in the past. pero hindi po yan ang ibig sabihin ni kuya Ez Mil sa kanta niya. he said, "I've been in Spain, but the letter S is silent." ibig sabihin po "I've been in pain." at wala po kinalaman yang colonization history na yan sa line na yan sa kanta niya po. just saying, sana maintindihan din ng iba. naga-assume kasi ang iba na about Spain colonizing the Philippines yung line na yan. hays

Categorically, it's a dialect/sub-language in textbooks, but I'm a rebel! I grew up in a multilingual household where we speak French, German, English, Filipino, Bahasa (Malaysia), Ilocano and Bisaya, I can say with confidence that Ilocano should be a language because it's so distinct, just like the many dialects in the Philippines. I consider it a language on its own. But that's just me.. Damn, do you know how hard it is to switch? Lol Ilocano is difficult!

I am a Filipino and am so proud of Ez Mil for making this heartfelt, feel good and emotional rap song that is creating havoc reactions and tremendous impact worldwide. Am also proud and happy that a rapper by the name of Knox Hill understand the sentiments of this Pnoy rap song and made a distinguish and true genuine blow by blow reactions and comments on this rap song. I salute u also Knox as a rapper u really felt the intricate meaning of EX Mil's rap song and truly understands the underlying gestures, tones, melody, and meaning of the lyrics of the song. Amazingly you adored the distinctive and ethnic melody and sounds of this very Pinoy rap song. Thank you, you're one of us at heart. PANALO talaga.
