Miguel Rincón with performers like you, these instruments will certainly make a comeback. I am a classical guitar maker and I am definitely interested in building baroque guitar. They sound amazing!
Yes that’s all true, I have to be more specific It’s Spanish baroque guitar music which is so special. Baroque from other countries is beautiful too, from Quito very much so, I recently discovered
The way his hands just slide across the strings is incredible. It makes something that takes an inhuman amount of skill look completely effortless, he just glides over the strings and they play themselves. It looks like actual magic.
I have watched this video several times over the years. I have two masters degrees in music and play several instruments. I think of all the music I have heard in my life time, few impresses me more than this. The virtuosity paired with musicality, the fluidity and the inventive rhythms of the right hand. It's absolutely impressive in all it's rights. I'm not saying it's the music that moves me the most but the level of professionalism, musicality and knowledge of the instrument, this is definately on my top 5 list. Maybe even the top...
Ohhh I really appreciate your comment and words my friend, really 🙏 it is this kind of comment that reinforce you to continue and develop yourself. Once again thanks from the bottom of my heart ❤️❤️
regeman100 “fun fact” a lot of metal riffs can be created by isolating a line from a classical piece on the electric guitar smothered with mid scooped high gain distortion. Most minor scale Beethoven and Vivaldi compositions work great for this. Another interesting take is Apocalyptica (distorted cellos with metal drums).
Excelso. Saludos desde la Ciudad de México.
This video has been in my favorites and I listen to it nearly every day at work. Your playing is awe-inspiring. So clean but so full of life and texture. Combine that with how rich the instrument sounds and the fantastic job with recording/mastering. We stan!!! Definitely looking forward to more recordings from you Miguel :)
The Tarantela is one of the most beautiful pieces of the baroque guitar I ever heard. And your performance, Miguel, is perfect, passionate, warm and full of enchanting. Thank you!
Animo!!!
Gracias.
Wonderful! One of these days I may buy a baroque guitar, but I have enough trouble trying to find time to keep up with my practice of the classical guitar and alto recorder.
Great,,,,beautiful music and excellent technique, its wonderful that someone will play a music that has been composed hundreds of yrs ago... keep it up Miguel..thank you
We see where flamenco comes from...We see where guitar comes from.. And the intonation is so good, which one might not expect from a 17th century gut [?] fretted instrument.. I can't get my Cordoba C10 to be this in tune !! Amazing !! Fantastic artistry here...
Hello Miguel! Your interpretation is absolutely stunning! Wonderful sound, great flow, fantastic rasgueados! I am really jelous! Best guitaristic regards, Werner
If you look up Españoleta it is very similar to POTC and Gladiator (both have the same composer too). The Folia melody is also present in many genres of music. I think the melodies we play today come from peasant songs first written into music during Baroque times :)
Saludos .
I discovered Baroque Guitar played by a Scot called Gordon Ferries. He has a great album of Sanz’s music. It’s very exciting stuff. I play classical guitar but would love learn to play one of these.
An exquisite interpretation, revealing deep knowledge of the instrument and its techniques yet with a certain influence from mediterranean popular related languages. iGracias Miguel por su aporte à la divulgación de la musica barroca, que es musica del mundo, y que toma importancia crescente para los músicos!
That instrument should make a comeback.
Of courseeeeee :) But first other instruments from the plucked family are coming
Miguel Rincón órale Rincón!
Miguel Rincón with performers like you, these instruments will certainly make a comeback. I am a classical guitar maker and I am definitely interested in building baroque guitar. They sound amazing!
They are
You mean the guitar? Lol. It's tuned exactly like one except missing one course or string
So beautiful, spanish baroque music is unbelievably good
Thank you so much and yes, the guitarra barroca players from that period at Spain were really good :) But also French and Italians
@@miguelrincon7992 don't forget the Germans, like the ever-sexy JS Bach
ABSOLUTE ! The Spanish had a GREAT GREAT Culture (and still have, of course)
I quite like me some Boccherini. I believe he was Italian but worked mostly in Spain.
It looks like actual magic.
jajajaja Thanks a lot for your nice comments. Really appreciate
It IS true magic.

My soul has let out a sigh of relief to hear such beauty, as if being wrapped in the warm embrace of God's love. Thank's Miguel!

The grace and joy in this performance make my heart sing!
Im 34 and I've been playing since 7 years of age and watching this video has made me want to become a luthier
I'm 33 and I'm a luthier since ages. Watching this video made me want to become a player! :)
The runs from 0:42 or so are unbelievably fluid. Fabulous phrasing.
Outstanding technique . Wow . Incredible .
Amazing. Sublime

Muchas gracias querido Alex, eres muy amable :)
i play mainly metal on my guitar but hearing something like this just make my heart move

Vivaldi is Metal Old School ;)
Same here man. Bands like First Fragment, Equipoise, Ne Obliviscaris, Opeth all use a ton of classical influence in their writing.

Metal and classical guitar go hand in hand in my opinion. Both are extremely emotionally driven and complex. Both beautiful

Good music is when the youtube comment section is multi-lingual
Now I understand the first and last movements of el Concierto di Aranjuez.

Perfect performance, maestro Rincón. So glad we have the technology to watch this over the globe.
Well said Gustavo
you can hear Puerto Rican Christmas music 😊 in this musical antecedent
The Tarantela is one of the most beautiful pieces of the baroque guitar I ever heard. And your performance, Miguel, is perfect, passionate, warm and full of enchanting. Thank you!
Thanks a lot Ricardo :)
Abrazos
Que tecnica que tenes chabon
A pleasure to be introduced to the sight and sound of this young maestro to whom blessings and peace. Thank you

This is magnificently played, and loved the improvisation! Sanz would have been proud, thank you for this beautiful music

I applauded the screen- so very impressive and beautiful piece
Excellent musician!
Wonderful! One of these days I may buy a baroque guitar, but I have enough trouble trying to find time to keep up with my practice of the classical guitar and alto recorder.
So nice to hear a younger generation expertly playing this beautiful instrument/repertoire. Nice setting. Very professional presentation. Bravo!
Thanks a lot for your kind words.

Such an elegant instrument... just love the "soft spoken" sound... Well played Miguel Rincón! I tip my hat!
Thank you so much :)
Ains...🥰🥰🥰
Great,,,,beautiful music and excellent technique, its wonderful that someone will play a music that has been composed hundreds of yrs ago... keep it up Miguel..thank you
All of the sections were amazing, but the third especially was beautiful.
This instrument is in pretty perfect tune, and stays, giving the player sublime ambient clarity to perform at virtuosi level.
This is barok guitar
Absolutely magnificent! Thank you for spreading so much joy through music.
So beautiful ...

So I suppose the story of guitar coming from the Moors is correct except that they were probably still 4 stringers until 1776...
I absolutely love this instrument and great performance

Que gran ejecución y musicalidad, bravo!

That interpratation of Canarios was to me a whole party made by a single man. Well done!
@Tariq Wiliams sounded like pretty natural Spanish to me
Uma MARAVILHA.
Espectacular interpretação.
Obrigado por tocar e partilhar.
Not sure how this came across my recommendations, but I'm glad it did! I love guitar and this is wonderful!
thanks dear John!!
Hello Miguel! Your interpretation is absolutely stunning! Wonderful sound, great flow, fantastic rasgueados! I am really jelous! Best guitaristic regards, Werner
Wow, I think that is the most complex guitar piece I have ever heard. And played with such mastery and joy! Thank you!
Me encanta el video - Gracias - I love this video thank you Miguel
From the octaved strings to the moveable frets, there are so many aspects of this instrument that fascinate me.
Qué maravilla! Suena tan articulado, limpio y tan bien fraseado! 👏👏👏
A true and real master at work! Much much respect.
You can hear where the pirates of the Caribbean theme got its influences from in the first part.
thanks :)
I guess this instrument is played in the "He's a Pirate - PoC On Stranger Tide".
If you look up Españoleta it is very similar to POTC and Gladiator (both have the same composer too). The Folia melody is also present in many genres of music. I think the melodies we play today come from peasant songs first written into music during Baroque times :)
Ejecución magistral, elegante y con gusto. Bravo Miguel!
What a pleasant surprise!

Espectacular, escucho flamenco entre esas notas también.
Wonderful to listen to, brings me joy
I discovered Baroque Guitar played by a Scot called Gordon Ferries. He has a great album of Sanz’s music. It’s very exciting stuff. I play classical guitar but would love learn to play one of these.
Una pasada cómo tocas!!
This is simply beautiful.
Hey, excelente! Gracias, thank you.
Thanks for being a bridge to the spiritual realms...🤗
Clearly they knew how to make fine instruments way back then? The intonation and harmonics on that thing are superb.
Thank you dear Andy :)
An exquisite interpretation, revealing deep knowledge of the instrument and its techniques yet with a certain influence from mediterranean popular related languages.
Thats all !
Divino. Gracias por esa belleza.
