I can say I sacrificed a lot of goals and dreams to ensure my children felt loved and cared for. I do not regret it one bit. Money, career, titles can only give fill your heart and soul to some extent. Life really is not as rich as when you are connected to those you love and care for. Great speech!

Never forget that a RICH life can only be defined by YOU. It's easy to get tricked into believing that something someone else has is the right thing for you. Especially in this day and age when you get bombarded with information and different lifestyles from social media, TV and the internet.

Andreas Rydell - Vlogs & Self Development well with the same logic, couldnt I argue that being really successful over preserving relationships is better for me? Because how could someone else know if it’s better for me specifically? What if i already have a limited or just plain bad relationship with most? Should I fundamentally change myself, most likely to my own dismay, so that I’m included in the idea that being successful is not a enjoyable as having good relationships? If our own observations and perceptions have any weight, they would fundamentally alter this idea, and ultimately proving the uselessness of this idea. How can people potentially follow such a life if such a life is mostly subjective?

I know that feeling in his 16th second because i was a valedictorian myself.
But for me it only lasted 2 just 2 seconds and i felt lost and stupid for wasting my life on A+s ...
Simply you have nothing after that single moment.. instead of being great you become noone.

Same, I knew there was no real reward except for a title and speech but fvck it, I didn’t do it for a reward. I did it for my self because I knew that’s “Passing” isn’t enough for me, I needed to know that I passed with ALOT of knowledge that would make life easier for me. (Not needing to stay behind in class in college because I 100% got the topic down packed since highschool, etc)

    An enlightening speech, bro!
You know what this relationships are the only thing which is important. I have been ignorant in my life so far but now on not anymore. What's the point of ignoring people you already know. Share the love and respect with everyone you know and most importantly who deserves and get the same in return.

A very wise young man, some people live their entire lives and never learn this lesson. I have also come to learn that the empty void he is speaking about can be directly related to additions. We are looking for something to fill an empty void in our heart and there are only two options on the table. We can look to the temporary things of this world, but they are very temporary and short lived. Anyone that has gown shopping or eaten something to fill that void can tell you that it only lasted a short period. On the flip side there is God and going to Him to fill the void. That is the eternal lasting option and the only thing that can truly fill that empty void. You might ask how you can do that. Singing a couple of praise song to Him and talking with Him are great options. I would also encourage you to make time to read the Bible. There have been times when I have a done a long Bible study and afterword I felt so refreshed and good inside. Biblically speaking Jesus is the Word of God so when you read your Bible you are actually spending time with Him.

This is a wonderful speech. My only problem is how do I find that balance. I usually watch a lot of motivational videos to help me get to study, from there I can study for hours because I make it my priority and visualize my aim. I want a big Job so that I can help other people. But sometimes I get so caught up in that work that I forget to spend time with my family and friends. And when I do that, I'm constantly afraid that I'm not doing something productive and not getting my work done and not reaching my goals.

A professor recently told me, "Get C's and socialize. If you have to choose between relationships and school work, it should always be relationships." Now this in light of , doing your best in school, but don't neglect socializing with others. Strive for the best, but if you can take time off from studying vs. hanging out with friends, then hang out. Get the C. lol. That's where she was going with that thought. And honestly. It's true! That's the balance. God will work it all out.

Old relations or either a newly ones but the thing is we should accept that we made new relationships daily, as many days we stay on this planet Earth. Some of them are so blessed and bounds very nicely in understanding and respect. What many of are facing actually, as we are moving forward in our daily life, we itself let ourselves down and it's a lack of understanding and politeness. So you are in great pleasure, if there is even someone who understand and love you and knows your character really well. A kind person haven't had the problem to promised a relationship but how others go about them that's probably made the differences. Ali Muzaffar. Motivational author.

One relationship could be ruined by focusing on just your career. Relationships can inspire and make you a better person.
I myself have learned that focusing career over relationships is the only going to make you happy to some extent.
My grandfather focused on career over relationships... I never met him (he's still alive).
And for my own dad. It goes just about the same way.

no judgement - sincerely, but I hope you are as fulfilled as you hope to be & at the end still are able to share what your efforts have gleaned with some person(s) - it'll make the journey that much sweeter!

@@jakea3950 if you think someone can give a speech like that, with few hours of preparation, then you are overestimating talent.
      Good communication skills needs practise.
The whole speech is much longer.
