It’s a really great place, full of life! ❤️
the coyote looks sick
It’s so nice, I’m so close to impulsively buying one!
God damn I want a Gorilla Monsoon now but only if I can build it like yours. Sick ride.
@@soupesoupe thanks so much! I’ve been riding it and switching up parts slowly since 2018. I’ve grown really attached to it!
Dopethrone (right?) Ain't no punk rock! 😅 Nice video, looks like you had a good time!
That heavy song? It was a band called Carvings I believe! The show we went to see was a band called Idles! It was a blast, thanks for checking the video out!
Great video!
Thanks a bunch!
you really did get in all the best spots on your tour. next time take a $7 train ride up to st jerome from downtown and you'll have access to Le Petit Train du Nord, which is 200km of bike path all the way up to Mont Laurier. if you want to go just half way, 91KM, you'll end up in Mont Tremblant which is a beautiful ski resort town. and if you don't want to take the train to st jerome there is actually a bike bath all the way from the city. was it NOFX you guys came to see?
@@jakesgreatesthits wow, thanks for the insight! We’ll definitely be back and will keep that in mind. Funny- I did really want to see that NOFX show! But no, we went to see Idles at MTelus. It was amazing!
you went to Patati Patata! my childhood eating place, i’d go at least once a week
Great Poutine, Open late, can't go wrong :)
The TH-cam algorithm kept showing me this video. I'm glad I clicked it. So good! I really want to ride around Montreal now. Thanks for the video ☺️
We're so glad you clicked too! Thanks so much for watching :)
Great channel! I'll be subscribing.
😄
@@edis_and_oscar thanks so much! Cheers
@@bike.breath I have to ask. What mount are you using to shoot the POV shots?
I’m using the GoPro chesty for those! It can be a bit shaky but if it’s bright enough out (or I’m not in a dark trail) it works great.
Dope ass video, you have a vision
@@boiiiulooklikeaturd6874 thanks so much!
you came to see idles ! nice
Such an amazing show! Were you there too?
@@bike.breath i work in that place yeah. its always a pleasure to see people enjoying their night !
@@samyarabi9033 oh cool! I’ve been many times for shows over the years and always look forward to it. Such a nice venue!
N….I….C…..E. cool edit.
Thanks for checking it out! Cheers ❤️
Great video! Love C&L but haven't had the chance to visit in store, yet (from Toronto). Did you purchase the Large gloves?
@@Mr_Zzzeee for the record Dismount in Toronto is amazing and holds an equally big place in my heart! Great folks, great shop.
I got the gloves and some blue lug and hitch bicycle club accessories.
Thanks for checking out the video!
@@bike.breath Yup, Dismount is fantastic. Love the store, love the crew.
As someone from Montreal! Please keep your bikes out of our city!
Great idea! Next time we’ll do a video from our car while sitting in traffic :)
great vid! what bars are you running on the GM?
Thanks! They’re the Sim Works “Fun 3” bars! I plan on doing a full bike breakdown video soon :)
Love the video, guys! Which band did you see? And Miloooosh!
@@nino8344 hahaha! You’re the first to pick up on that Seinfeld Easter egg! I couldn’t help myself lol
We went to see Idles. Pretty wild UK punk rock band (I think that’s the best way to describe them?).
@@bike.breath Yeah, they are very popular here in Ireland, but I never got the chance to listen to them. :))
If you’re into chaotic punk rock with a groovy flair then you’ll love them!
Obviously gonna need to know which band you went to see.
Looked like Idles. Some of the best post punk the UK has to offer.
@@lanceflare Probably correct. I'm on the fence about them.
@lanceflare is right! We saw Idles. Honestly their live show takes them to the next level, really fun and intense 🤘
I miss my hometown...
It’s a beautiful place!
I was hoping for a Proablyriding shoutout when I saw Hitch
@@teaghengosse3079 Probably Riding is one of my fav channels! I had to buy a hitch reflector when I saw one :)
@@bike.breath patiently waiting for the hats to come back in stock! Still haven’t checked Korea off my biking list.
@@teaghengosse3079 Korea is definitely on our list now too!
loved the video! what orange helmet are you wearing?
Thanks a bunch! It’s a Kask Mojito helmet
Love those gloves! What are they?
They're the Cardiff Crochet and Leather G.O.A.T. Gloves- we picked them up from C&L! Thanks so much for watching!
@bike breath what's the handlebar model name please, looks awesome !
Thanks! They’re Nitto x Sim Works “fun 3” bars!
nice one
Thanks, mate!
i moved to montreal in may . i used to cycle all my life and i still dont know why bikes are so heavy so outdated so expensive in here . old parts and heavy frames everywhere. back home i rode only light weight carbon frames with shimano latest XT to ULTEGRA and DURA ACE. the weight penalty is every thing in cycling
You could easily buy a light bike in Montreal if you wanted? There was a Trek dealership right up the road from us in Montreal with a carbon Domane in the window. Allo Velo had some pretty lightweight Rondo frames, La Cordee had carbon bikes, there’s plenty of options! We personally like steel bikes as well as carbon bikes so that’s why I featured brands like Bassi in this video.
What hip bag are you running? I see it has straps on the bottom. I been looking for something like that
This is the Priority Bicycles Hip Bag! It can also be run as a handlebar bag. I really like it!
@@bike.breath THANK YOU
Anytime! ❤️
What!?! @ 15:09 How is your bike so clean after riding in that rain with no fenders?
@@crossfire8944 could be the color grading bringing out that vibrant orange and yellow maybe, but I can confirm it needed a good clean by the time we left Montreal and headed home.
what is the Montréal yellow font you used in the beginning, pls?
I think it was “Druk Wide”!
@@bike.breath thank you sir!
Does bassi ship to the usa? Le montreal looks like a sweet touring bike.
@@javiersmith2216 they do, if you order from C&L directly I believe they do a $150CAD flat rate for frames (about $109USD). There’s a bassi dealer in Denver, Colorado I believe! They’re called Treehouse Cyclery. It might be worth reaching out to them and possibly saving money that way :)
Cheers!
Poutine… and definitely more cycling after that 😅
@@dcorman2350 a heavenly combo! :)
What brand is your helmet? My helmet is bulky compared to yours
It’s a Kask Mojito! Funny you say that- I bought this one because my previous one felt too bulky too.
This is completely off topic! Saw you with Tim Fitzwater and you talked about Marcus, so I would to know his youtube channel please. Loved the first part, not that interested in in photography side. Thanks in advance!
Thanks for checking out our chat with Tim! Marcus’s channel is called “Probably Riding”. I hope you enjoy it!
@@bike.breath Thanks again, and the prompt reply! I am a Moulton fan! Am an aly

Love Probably Riding, as good as Path Less Pedaled. Thanks!
Mmmm... nice
Thanks for watching!
Why do gravel bikes don't have front suspension??? You never ride over potholes at fast speeds???
@@SolarizeYourLife some definitely do! Plenty of new gravel bikes come with a front suspension option. I personally find comfort in bigger than usual tires and a steel frame. But also we do our best to dodge potholes :)
montreal rules
