The pair are seeking an investment of £50,000 in return for a 10% equity, but is the business to niche?

I think teir choice was a bit irrational. Nick has so much experience in this field. Sarah could also help a lot with the facebook advertising and she's younger than the other dragons. I'd have said can Nick and Sarah split it, as competent as Deborah is I don't think she's the perfect fit for this.
I would never turn down the opportunity to work with Deborah though - that would be amazing.
Sarah has a smile capable of brightening a room as dull as the one DD is shot in.

I agree. You can't fake smiles like that. There genuine. She also listens very carefully to every pitch. She was a great dragon.
This is perhaps my favorite product and pitch on Dragon's Den.
I love how Peter always tries to find excuses to call himself out when he knows that on that particular occasion it would be too tough for him to win a deal.

Nope, Sarah and Nick 10% each for £100,000. They retain 80% of the company while commanding more of the time of two expert Dragons. That's a multi million dollar company within a few years, easily
Sarah asked Nick multiple times and Nick said no as he'd want to much of the company, which if you listen again you hear Nick tell Sarah he'd want 25%.
So that deal was never gonna happen.

The thing is by now Peter or Deborah are like a brand on their own, everyone knows them and their involvement in the business may give the idea that their name will add extra value. They are new in the business so they didn't think about the best dragon on practice but the best dragon in terms of popularity which is not necessarily the best in practice.
Perfect pitch and product. I would certainly buy shares of this company if they go public.

SOS. I just realized I've watched every dragons den clip there is. I won't start about how long or actually short it took me lol. I've had an operation and most of the time in bed ever since. Dragons den saved me, but now I've have to wait on an upload every time..

Enjoyed this one and I love Debs, but I think I’d have taken Nicks hand off. His business would’ve paired with this like cone and flake.

I'm sure these guys would have had a ceiling around 20% that they would have considered, they should have offered Nick & Sarah both 10% each, bringing in 100k for the business and the potential to really explode.

As of 2019 their current assets are worth 100.5k but their liabilities are up by 85% and their Net worth is -69k but they are still running but recently there was a cessation of a person with significant control- provided this deal did go through it looks like lovely debs may have pulled out recently 😬

I found it a bit weird for Sarah to say that she can help with Facebook marketing when clearly the 2 ladies are quite good at it.

Nick would have made more sense tbh.
I've never seen the dragons offering the entrepreneurs the exact same equity share as requested, let alone three of them doing so.
which shows us the dragons saw the value of the business as fair, possibly even undervalued but then they wouldn't admit it and they still would offer a requested equity for that amount.

Touker has a tactic of offering more money than was asked for plus a bigger share of the business. He could have outbid the others in that way to get his 25% - perhaps he didn't want it enough. Nick could have offered more money for 10% and lost out as a result. Or maybe the two women felt better working with a 3rd woman.
I actually think Peter is right. Though I wish them all the best, they would be defeated by companies that have far more resources and far stronger hold on the market which is extremely sad but unfortunately realistic.
UNLESS they can copyright this idea they will most likely be the creators but not the pioneers in this business.

I love this business
You know what I love? Both of these people are soldiers, yet not once is it mentioned. If this were an American show that would have been the first thing said and they'd have been "thank you for your service"-ed. It's based solely on their business and how they've done.
If this was an American show, first thing is they would walked in the Den with their uniforms on 🤣 and then they would talk about all the freedom they brought in before the pitch starts
