Correction. The Enhancer dude actually just increases their health. He does not make them invincible. But I do agree that you should kill him first.

Here's some more tips
Shoot a chest once or twice before opening it because it may turn into a mimic
You can open brown/blue chests at the beginning of the game but once you start getting good try to keep your keys for green chests or better
Keys are really rare and really useful when you see one in a shop,
get it
If you hold your gun switching button (triangle on playstation) the screen goes slow motion to choose your weapons, use this to your advantage to dodge
bullets
From time to time you will find big cracks in the walls use blank to reveal a secret chest
Shortcuts are a thing you will unlock, there not bad but using them will make you miss out on good loot
Try to conserve your ammo by using your gun with infinite ammo on easier rooms because guns with ammo are alot stronger but run out of that ammo very quickly
Some good info here, comment readers. However some of this is taught in the tutorial. I'd highly recommend never opening brown chests period, but that's just me. Also, the mimics are easy to tell because they breath. Give it a few seconds and it's rather easy to see.
BlueSpruce slight correction, secret rooms don't always have chests but they are common, you can find secret rooms by shooting the wall and cracking it with a weapon that has ammo (every gun has a different amount of shots to reveal one), and finally shops have a 100% guaranteed chance of having a key for sale if you didn't pick up a key prior to finding the shop and don't worry the rat won't take keys.
Secret rooms have a higher chance to connect with the chest, shop and elevator rooms.

PentaHybrid that’s stupid, you should try to open brown chests, because you could get Casey or sling the best guns in the game
I've been playing this for a week having a blast barely making it past the first floor and the second floor boss. It's weird as I can beat Souls games with little to no attention paid, but I rarely play games like this and it kicks my ass in a fun way. This game is awesome to take on the go with my Switch. Thanks for the video, I'm gonna be trying some of your tips to see if I improve my game.

Guys to be honest, gungeon really doesn't have much of a story to spoil. It's more about having a shootout with a mailbox.

the real protip here is actually just to use the charge attack with the megahand. got it once and didn't even know it had a charge attack. 45 damage per charge compared to 6 damage per single shot
Heroine is better but megahand charge is pretty good too.

How long did it take you to kill the past for the first time? I've played 22 hours already and still only got to the forge a couple times... I like rogue likes, but I suck at them

Nothing actually changes for jammed bosses attacks. Their attacks deal a full heart of damage, but the patterns, speed, and other bits of their attacks are the same. They also get a small(or perhaps large depending on the chamber) HP boost.
Whatever strat you already used will work just fine on the jammed bosses

Mr. syenstro The dumb thing here, is most things in this aren't "do this and you'll unlock stuff". You don't unlock stuff from knowing how to cancel a charge, or by killing a boss without getting hurt gives you more items, or that you can use traps against enemies.

Some of us follow these rules and yet can't reach Chamber *2* consistently. The entire fate of my progression relies on proton backpack showing up.

I can reach the fourth chamber but thats when shit hits the fan i die before the boss room or in it

when you flip a table you get some invincibility
Honestly there aren’t any tips you can give someone that’s going to help them with this game.
It really boils down to mastering the Dodge roll...
After that, whether you progress or not is kind of dependent on luck.
If you’re lucky, there will be some good weapons and passives on the first three floors, that will make the fourth and fifth floors easier to beat.
If you’re unlucky, you won’t be able to earn much money, the items in the store are all going to suck, and the items in the chests won’t really help... that’s if you can even find any keys.
I have just over 200 hours on this game… And I can say with absolute certainty that the largest portion of this game comes down to r&g.
After a couple of hundred deaths, you will be skilled enough to handle anything the game throws at you, but it comes down to luck to a degree.
So get praying.. R&Geesus might take pity on you.

Yea but i cant consistantly get past chamber 1 and I have like 15 hours play time how is this for beginners. Im shit at literally almost everything so that might be the reason but I thought I was pretty decent like 2 hours in and then I saw youtube videos and saw people win their 2nd run. Any actual beginner tips
That's because they create a new save file. It keeps all your progress and creates a new game. You just have to press escape, got to options, gameplay, scroll down, and it says change save slot. Don't worry, nobody is good enough to just walk up and beat this game in their second run.
I still can't get past the 1st floor. :(

KenneyOz Fair enough. But many new players I've talked to and know make it to chamber five pretty quickly. It's more of a warning that the game doesn't let up.

How do i do NPC quests?
+Why did you smoke the dank kush Thank you so much for asking! You first have to find the Hunter in the Gungeon. Once he is back at the Breach all you have to do is talk to him and he will give you tasks. Think of it like bounty hunting. Other NPC's have you do quests after meeting certain conditions as well, but the Hunter is the easiest.

Why are there spoilers in a beginners guide?
No Face I barely spoiled anything. I hate repeating myself in comments, but yes barely anything was spoiled. And even still, it's a beginners GUIDE. Not a list of small things for the first chamber. GUIDE implies you'll see things from mid and early game. You clicked on a video that had GUIDE in the title, my friend. I'm not at fault here.
PentaHybrid I can't be bothered to argue. However, I will mention how ironic this is. You believe you're right and yet you say there are many other people in the comments who are complaining about also (I know this from the "repeating"). Don't you maybe think you're in the wrong?
Anyway, why are you even responding to comments on this video, it was uploaded a while ago.
Because I like the people who take time to watch my videos. They all deserve a response if the comment was worth responding to. I admit that there are some mid game spoilers in this list. I never said there weren't. But part of a beginner's guide to anything is to show what's to come. I didn't show any late game content, unlockable items or characters, and VERY FEW bosses for this reason. Seeing the Dragun...isn't a spoiler.
I bought this game on switch, I've tried at least 100 times to end the first floor but I can't, it's just too difficult for me. I'm having trouble with the movement of the right analogue stick while I'm running with the left. My brain just can't control them both. I'm just not enjoying the the game right now
You'll get there, it takes a lot of time for this game. Just remember to always have fun!
Try using the controller mount, i feel that same thing you do, i feel my right thumb is more accurate with controller mount

wow.. i reached the 3rd floor in the first day. It's very easy to reach the 2nd floor. Not impossible to die in the 1st floor anyway. It can happen.
Orestes Triskaideka turn up your aim assist and also focus on movement when there are lots of bullets and just aim in the general direction of enemies
Biggest tips i need are tips on raising FPS because holly HELL is this game badly optimized

PentaHybrid Because when I get to the Gunpowder Mines I get my ass handed to me. Can go in there w/ 4 hearts and 2 armor pieces and be hitting the alt+f4 buttons before watching my hunter get pincushioned. And to see what's beyond the Mines.......well, I stink at rogue lites anyway....
It's not about being good, but about having fun. I have a trained hand in games like this so it's a bit different. However, I do hope the tips in this help improve your skills at least. Lol. That's why I made it.
Thanks. Ya a few of your tips I didn't know so I'm glad to see this video. I try to have fun. My favorite part is finding new guns or using guns that I like (my last run I found a Proton Backpack gun that ran over the Gorgun. Got a perfect on her b/c of that weapon).

He never said anything about what the endgame content is, he just gave tips on how to reach it. The Dragun has nothing to do with any of the endgame content he pointed out.

No offence but i just started to play this game and i wanted to learn some stuff and all the thing in the video are thing i knew after like 30 min of gameplay so yeah not exactly the kind of info i was looking for

Considering game trailers themselves show most of this stuff anyway nowadays, it's the risk the consumer makes. I maybe could've showed slightly less, but this was released the week it came out. And I had like 20 hours in the game. That's not very spoiler heavy.
