As I promised, I have prepared a complete freeshop tinfoil tutorial for you.
The only Tinfoil freeshop tutorial you need
The first part of the tutorial includes installing Tinfoil, adding FreeShop and downloading games, updates and dlc
the second part is about blocking Nintendo servers and answering your most common questions.

I haven’t bought a modded switch yet because I was waiting for something equivalent to the hShop to be available. Thank you for this! I’ll be getting a modded switch as soon as I can then I’m coming back to your video.

When I save the Liberashop and the page refreshes, my screen still looks the same as before adding. Is there something I am missing?
This video was absolutely amazing. Subbed, liked and commented. Only issue when I first installed the freeshop everything showed up including updates and dlc and recommended. Now just the new games section shows up. Any ideas?? Thanks

One question, I have low free space on my tiny 64gb sd card, but I have 9.2gb free on the system memory partition in tinfoil. Can I install my games there safely via the install to nand option? I'm guessing that is still sd card space and not a part of the 32gb that are on the switch itself, because again if it was the onboard memory it would be around 32gb free since none of it is actually used.

From what I understand that database is no longer being updated, so it's missing games/updates
Is the shop still up? I have not gotten it to work. Do I have to have lastest firmware and updated Tinfoil?
If i already have a couple of games on tinfoil but I want to add liberashop do I have to put my SD card into my computer to do that? I tried downloading the shop and it does not show up.

i have this problem, so, ive already homebrewed my switch, installed games from the freeshop on it and everything, the only bad thing is that when the battery dies, ive heard people say to not charge it since it can get your nintendo account banned by detecting piracy. is this true? if not, then what should i do?

this seems to be a list of retro games only...although it will update and download dlc's of currently installed .nsp files. this makes sense...libera is behind the retroarch project...thanks but, this title is click baity...it should have been titled "tinfoil shop for retroarch," which is still cool dont get me wrong..but im sure everyone who saw this titled thought they were getting a nintendo switch library of games. that being said, for those of us side-loading roms until we get an actual nintendo switch tinfoil shop, this shop is useful just for the ability to update and download the dlc's. now instead of having to download the .nsp files or .xci (depending on your jb set-up) and the corresponding update and dlc files seperately, then sideloading them all yada yada....now you can just download the switch game you want, sideload it, and then let this shop update and dlc it....so it does have some use besides retrogaming.

yes i think that you'll be banned but only from nintendo official servers so nintendo eshop for an example

Hey, i just got a brand new switch oled and i have no idea if this will work, is this tutorial for a special switch edition or an already modded one? Or can it work in a fresh clean one? Aside from the switch, what else do i need?
your switch needs to be modded before you can use this, you can find a tut for that anywhere. also make sure your switch is unpatched before you buy one.
