I always think this is so creepy. Someone's account, someone's childhood, 10000s of thousands of hours of joy gutted to serve as another face in an army of soulless automated gp collecting.
This happened to me, I took a 4 month break and when I came back, my account was perm banned - I have pretty high stats in all skills so the bot could have botted literally anything, yet it went on and botted cannonballs, massive disrespect..

Gave a guy a level 102 barrows gloves, 95wc 85 slayer....goes and bots yews and then wants me to appeal his ban for him...fuck off.

Also happened to me. I took a break over the summer and came back to find it banned. It was my only account which was trained up relatively well. It was pretty devastating. I'm not too upset anymore though this was 4 years ago. I think it was my fault because I used the same password on it as the password to my email (which was a yahoo mail and I'm pretty sure yahoo was data breached). Anyway, it really sucked and it was not appealable because bans due to macroing couldnt be appealed back then. Nowadays they do the whole "we noticed a period of unusual activity" jig but not 4 years ago afaik.
On my new account I have a long af cryptic password which is unique and 2 factor auth on everything. I guess it was a good thing it happened to my runescape account and not something like my bank account. It gave me a lesson in account security.
Pretty sad when players have to do the jmods job.

That seems like a reasonable complaint until you realize there are only 43 JMods in total, and really only just Mod Weath, actually responsible for dealing with tens of thousands of cheaters across the game.

You would have to take a systematic approach to make it harder to commit these violations. Requiring 10-16 character password would make cracking harder for example.
Another system to reduce gold farming is to make an audition flagger that can freeze suspect transactions and actions for review and track the origin of the money.
This would add one layer of inconvenience for gold sellers, botters and high volume traders. Marking money as unclean and at risk of being deleted would make it so these actors would have to add a laundering step between every step and encourage trading between trusted parties and discourage buying gold, giving an advantage to bonds over real-life trading.

luke7137 This is such a small brain take. You ban 10 accounts and 20 take their place. They’re banning people constantly but there’s only so much you can do. Jagex doesn’t have unlimited resources and unlimited people.

Its good to see that your videos actually kill obscure methods. I guess it makes sense seeing as you can go back to a really old video, find an obscure farm, go out and see nothing at all.

I normally want nothing to do with advertisements and skip through them but the figurines you make seem interesting and authentic, would actually buy one if I had more disposable income.

I was wondering how hackers got access to my account. This happened to me. I went on a break in 2014. Then I recovered my account in 2018 to find it was permabanned for botting some time in 2017. I was so mad. I thought I'd never get the account I started back in 2005 back but I finally did last month. Just keep trying to appeal if this happens to you. Jagex takes a while to review cases but they do want legitimate players to get their accounts back. Hope you get your account back!

How do you email Jagex Support for an appeal? I have tried doing it in the past and I would get an automated email saying that we have to appeal it through their support page with their ticketing system

was playing a few weeks ago and one of my accounts i havent used in probably 5 years logged in.... found it at castle wars when i got it back with nothing on it or in the bank.... there wasnt anything on it when i quit playing so wonder what they were doing with it

As much as i love pugger there was a whole reddit thread of him faking a video by dropping clue boxes for a "amateur bot farm". He fakes certain aspects of his vids for sure.
@@xJukeMasterFlex There's a lot of his videos that are faked. Not just certain aspects. This doesn't mean there arent bot farms in some of the places he's talked about but he makes it out like it's massive when in reality you'll find 5 people spread out across all the different worlds.

JukeMasterFlex I am fully aware of it, his explanation made sense to me but to be honest, he still puts in tons of work on the big farms and maybe sometimes he needs to connect the dots for content and stretches. Nobody yelled at Colonello for blatantly lying and saying that prisons use RSGP as money and stake and all that crap. So I don’t see what the big deal is, our community largely just likes to whine and hate haha

What about cracking the password recovery? I am constantly getting an email to reset my password. I don't really use the account anymore but it's almost an everyday thing. Something is happening.

You need it to get on the front page of OSRS to get any kind of account support sadly.

Hey crumb i just had a thought. You’re a cs major I wonder if you’ve thought of this - do you reckon by now botters have gotten into looking at TRNGs like taking atmospheric noise signals or I’ve heard companies like dropbox even use some sort of signal from lava lamps as seed values for the random algo?
What you are talking about is more limited to the application of secure encryption, but some bot clients have taken to allowing users to play for a little while legitimately to generate unique mouse movements for when the bot later plays on the account. Their goal is to have unique biometic data, because traditionally all bots running on the same client will have the same bio metric profile, even across different scripts. :)

I’m a bit late, but when that mod emailed the guy saying he secured the account, that meant he locked it. To get that account back in game they have to go through the full recovery process. This process does not really take email address into account. Creation date, location, payment details and what not are what would need to be provided to regain access.

Happened to one of my accounts, took a 2 year break from it. Logged in, and was in Lumbridge, with 150m xp in hunting, 1000 chins, and bank was left untouched, not sure how it got hacked. Account doesn't use an email to log in, and has been using a different name for a while.
Well, 2018 i came back to osrs after almost 2 years brake. I tried to log into my baby pure and it was banned and i was very surprised, so i checked the offense and the offense was botting which had happened like 3 months prior. My other accounts were okay, but only my baby pure was banned, so i did appeal and got my account unbanned. I could not figure out how it was hacked, i first thought it must have been a keylogger, but it wasnt because all my other accounts were okay... So i checked from site ''haveibeenpwned'' and entered the hacked accounts login email there... And it showed that email had been pwned trough ''Neopets'' a site which i used as a kid. The thing is i had the exact same login info on neopets as i had on runescape.
Guess thats what happened to my account. Tried to log in yesterday and my account was banned for macroing. Haven't touched in a few years.

Just get two way login for you rs account and for your email and you'll be extremely safe

Use a password manager so you have a unique RS password. enable 2FA on your account and make sure you have a strong password on your email

I made a new e-mail and used it exclusively for osrs, so there is literally no way of it being breached unless Jagex gets breached

This actually happened to my non-iron account. Tried to log in a few months ; had been banned for botting, but I had never botted. I manged to recover the account on the basis it was compromised. Was just south of green dragons, and they had completed monkey madness for me, and left a nice pile of dhide and bones.
mid last year i actually had my account i've had for years and years hacked into and botted on, jaqex was very nice and unbanned the account and let me play on it again, they had trained my melees from 60's all the way up to high 90's and it was green dragon botting.
i had the same thing happen to my 2 orginal accounts i played myself, july 9th 2019 my orginal acc was perm banned for the same reason i guess. even though last time i actually logged onto the acccount myself and played it was around end of 2017-2018.
im still unable to gain access to my old school account so i can go back and start grinding out that addictive experience while somewhat trying to enjoy the rest of my miserable toxic and pathetic excuse of life. what i have to deal with 7 days a week
They did that too me but with mining went from like 45 mining to 67 mining then they got banned when I got unbanned i sold all the ore for around 2 mill

I think i just lost my account to one of these guys, is there no way to get it back? Im so mad right know, i dont want to quit the game, but i think thats what i must do now.
I had someone in my account twice last week. I noticed I wasn’t where I logged out the first time but nothing was missing so I didn’t change the password. Second time they grabbed a couple good items and my cash stack but I recovered my account while they had half my bank noted ready to trade.
This has happened on two of my account during long siestas from the game. My main on rs3 back in the day and my current main on osrs, which I was able to get back.

I recently got into the game … recovered my account which was hacked … had a zulrah pet and 6000 KC and like 7mil of loot left on my account lmfao. They also got me a whole bunch of mage lvls. And 52 spirit seeds

This is why I use an old email that I don't even use as my login name email, but a new email that is secure as my actual acc email, and ofc a different game pass than my actual email pass because I'm pretty sure that old email I had as a kid is out there on some database.
So unless someone knows both, they cant disable my auth and get into my account

yeah this happened to me. I took a month break from runescape. had an almost max combat most master quest done account. Saw a password reset email but didn't check into it because I was busy came back to my account botting wyverns. Ended up deactivating the account because it had been ruined with botted XP. happened a couple months ago
Yea when I back try to play my account I found my account gotten try log in several time, please try again later. Seem like someone try to hack my account but they fails coz my gaga password.
man this cracking stuff is around since the 90s.. i remember doing it in Yahoo Pool when i was a kid. requires 0 skill and it is an insult to real hackers to call this hacking :D
Yeah, they're literally just script kiddies. I don't get why he uses 'hack' to describe these accounts when he knows it's 'cracked'. He literally distinguished the two earlier.

This happened to one of my accounts a few years ago. I recovered it and it was being used as a mule account. Transferred the billions to my main and never logged back on that account. Never got banned either.
i found out recently that if you go to popular F2P worlds at the GE and start throwing small drop parties. (10k an item) youll find that 10-20 level 3-6's all synchronize together to pickup these items from random drop parties. you can drop an item away from the ge and they will stand there stacked until another item appears
This has been a thing since 2010 (for what I know). I quit playing around then (RS3), when I got back my account was banned and used a green dragon bot. The IP was somebody from South-Korea (that's what the mail told me). I had an almost maxed main with chaotic equipment, but don't know how long they used the account.

This has happened to me. Took about a year break, I primarily pked. Had a 70 def 60 attack mid level pker. Many of hours put into the account, got into skilling towards the end.. few of my boys got back on, so I tried to as well. And of course, password was changed.. got the account back.. perm banned for botting. Tried to appeal, but ultimately denied. Never played runescape again unfortunately.
I love that you're not selling out to sponsors (let's play Raid Shadow Legends ;) like so many others on TH-cam. Hopefully your business model, selling the figurines, will allow you to start hiring people and expanding and growing your brand. I'm an entrepreneur myself so I love to see people like you creating their own dreams.

This happened to my account. I was banned for hacking after not playing for an extended period. Tried to login to 2 years of hard work gone. Tried to appeal to no avail.
This happened to my main account months ago I logged on for the first time in months to see my bank wiped and I was at clan wars geared for zulrah. Logged out for 20 minutes and my account was banned for macroing. Couldn't even appeal it either.
Account got hacked while I was on a hiatus - it was an account that primarily played RS3. When I came back it was banned for botting on OS. Appealed because I was hacked at the time and I was unbanned. OSRS account was 70+ in combat stats wearing half mithril half rune armour, rune scim and sitting at Cave Crawlers in the Stronghold of Security - checked bank and it had well over 35k flax and 70k bowstrings. They must have planned on botting Flax to Bowstrings but went to Cave Crawlers for combat stats I assume.
That’s hilarious you uploaded this today. I logged in today with my whipping 5m bank cleaned, and just said fuck it and deleted membership and the game. Pretty annoying especially cause I just played for a little fun every now and then.
You quit over 5 mil? That really isn't that much. Why not keep playing you'll make alot of gp easy at higher levels.
Ya hacked 3 times now and over 20 mil easy taken each time. Not sure when my stalker will strike again but they just cant seem to stay away. I love a good cat and mouse game but props to jagex for really weeding out all the bs, showing that they truly do care about their members. My only criticism is would be that they have yet to fully implement a p2p service that allows all goods to be bought using real world currency such as dragon claws for 99 cents
All my previous accounts for runescape in the years have died due to inactivity -> ban -> relog to find nothing there. The two-step-authentication is a dream though, since then. Nothing.
I remember this happened to me I took a break from the game and came back about a few months later I'm a high level (124 combat with 2000+ skill total) and when I came back I was permanently banned I was pissed and started screaming in uncontrollable rage and started bashing my desk until it broke then I sent a MASSIVE ban appeal to jagex and within 8 days the appeal was accepted I got my account back changed my password and started playing I soon found that I had 60mil worth of zulrah loot in my bank I was able to piece it together pretty quickly my account was hacked and used to bot zulrah here is my question is anyone safe from having their account hacked?

And still a year later this is ruining my enjoyment of the game! Didn’t play for over 4-5 years, had an accident leaving me paralyzed so with so much time on my hand and both my brother and father playing the game. I made a new account and came back, bought membership and all. Then less then two weeks of playing I’ve been hacked and banned twice, two days in a row. Changing my password, Authenticator and everything, still they hack me, get insta-banned and I can’t actually enjoy playing the damn game!!

This is literally the reason I quit a year ago, overnight my account was banned for botting. Started again, literally a week ago I was disconnected just to log back into lumbridge with all my gear gone. Thank fuck for bank pins
This came out on the day I got a ban appeal on my account. The ban was bc my account got hacked and used for bottling
I had a defense pure 35 combat, 1/1/75 , 1 prayer 1 magic. Stopped using it after the serp nerf. Tried to log in after a year break and I was banned. I appealed the ban and found somebody had hacked my account and used it for botting.
They also wrecked my build. They got 20 magic levels, 20 prayer levels, and got it banned after botting not even 100 chins. What a god damn waste!!! The account is back in my possession but it's dead to me now thanks to whoever ruined it.
My brother's account got hacked when he stopped playing for a few months and the bot got him from 91-99 mining and got a mining pet lol. He recovered the account after I randomly looked up his account one day and noticed I couldn't see his hi-scores
my accounts been hacked, and ive been bannded permanent for botting!!! their was even membership on the account i never put on, i told jagex and they did not care :(
they just sniped my 91 str obby mauler (dwarhammer) with 90m and turned into a rev cave botter. perma banned, recovered with 8mil. they screwed my attack to 5, and my ranged to 70, and prayer to 47
