  • You can crochet a whole blanket, change colours every row and not sew in one end, I did it on this one, the last two I just pulled into the border with my hook!
    Here is the link to the original blanket I made

    ... just a thought, you could maybe do it with a half treble(British term) as the stitch has a top loop and a front and back loop. You could crochet the sides onto the front and back?? Do you think it would produce a similar thing. Just curious. Half treble is very versatile.

    Hi great tutorial ty
    Would it be possible to knot the ends when I join a new colour and just crochet over the ends as i go?
    I'm guessing not as u r still showing us a way of bordering over them??
    Ty 🥰

    • @OpheliaTalks
      @OpheliaTalks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you can if you wish, but knotting the ends might get in the way when you're starting the border!
      Hope this helps, Anja x!

    Yippee!! No ends to sew in sounds perfect, as that's my least fave job!! This will be perfect for the blanket I'm doing that has tons of ends! I don't mind taking longer crocheting the border in that way if it saves sewing in those pesky ends!🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨

    I made my blanket with Bernat Blanket yarn which is #6 bulky yarn. Do you think the border would be so thick that I should not use this method? Your work is stunning by the way!!

    • @OpheliaTalks
      @OpheliaTalks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Judy that is indeed a very thick yarn, the border will be very big, it is of course your own decision, but I personally would not use the same yarn. Anja x

      Gill, just a tip...you may wish to leave the ends long, gives more body to the border, as an extra filler, or bulkier padding to the border, if you like that type of thing?

    Awesome! I hate sewing in the ends. I'm like you, I sew them in as I go. The thought of sewing them in all in the end. Sounds, horrible. I defing going to give this ago. I have a blanket that is my Wip that this would work for.

    I made this blanket using black, red and purple. Black was used every other row. Now I am starting the border.

    When you do the corner you put on the screen 2HDC, 1ch, 2HDC. Then later you say 1 single crochet 1 ch 1 single crochet ?????
