Not sure there is a perfect answer for you bc they are out in our suburbs but i would say one of the lagoon communities could be a good starting point as you can have your privacy in the 55+ section yet still have access to the entertainment of the lagoon. If you choose something like Wesley Chapel, that is a suburb that also has a lot going on for it and it’s about 35 minutes from downtown Tampa.
I haven’t come across one lately but I have come across very low hoa. Not sure where you are at with your home search but please email my team info@themorejongroup.com and I can get a few eyes on things for you and find a new community without an hoa.

Does all parties in the home have to be 55? Hubby is 58 and I’m 49. We’d consider a 55+ community but not sure if we both have to be 55, or not.
As long as one of you is 55.
