Today I’ve learned that I’ve been playing them bones and my own summer in the wrong tuning for months
Lmao its already drop C# tuning is just 1 fret lower so its like playing a them songs 1 fret higher
@@StephenKyllAlzate what are you on about
It's funny to see SOAD and Paramore using the same tunning
is not a very low tunning
That's like saying it's funny that they both play instruments
Metal bro mind blown non metal bands use C#
it's literally eb standard but one finger powerchord-ready, of course a variety of bands will use that tuning
hammer smashed face by cannibal corpse and buddy holly by weezer are both in the same tuning
Man that Sevenfold riff didn't look anywhere near as difficult to play as I expected. I guess you could say it's Almost Easy?
dammit that was funny

YYYYEEEAAAHHH
LMAO 😂
Tbh man its chord progressions that really suck, not riffing lol once you get it down its nothing. Holding those finger stretches thooo
I always played that riff in drop d I didn’t know it was drop c 😂
The songs that always come to my mind in C# are My Own Summer and Electric Head Part 1 by White Zombie. 50% is pretty good.
Electric head part 1 is a classic
I always think my own summer and one step closer cause those are the first two I learned
Congrats on avoiding filling this video with the entire hybrid theory album lol
I cant hear that Them Bones rift without thinking about all the hours in GTA San Andreas.
Radio:X!
Great selection 👌 My Own Summer would also be the first song on my Drop C# list...
The entirety of the Around the Fur album could be on this list. Banger after banger of tasty fuckin' riffs
Head up is my favorite song of all time only close is soulfly pain
Unchained by Van Halen is the most iconic for me. I mean, it was 1980. Nobody was doing that, back then.
Of Mice and Men is such an underrated band. Thanks for including them.
fr tho
Damn, Of Mice and Men - Second & Sebring! Haven't heard that banger in a minute! Need to go listen to it now!
Shame Austin kinda tanked the band, I fucking loved Restoring Force when it came out
You can’t talk about great Drop C# riffs without mentioning System of a Down, Daron has so many great riffs on the Mesmerize/Hypnotize albums and BYOB is still one of my absolute favourite from them
lets not forget Scars On Broadway, he has a lot of great riffs there too 🤘🏼
@@rubenyerkanyan Yeah, They Say is a great riff as well
They were in the video
@@Taurus1337 I know, I’m saying that you need to include SOAD in lists like this
@@andrewpappas9311 Ah.. I see, my bad🤣
thumbs down the trivium riff does not sound right in that tuning and no mudvayne
one step closer is not accurate forgot thwe chicky chickys
Dope as hell!! keep it up man
The holy trinity of drop c# riffs for me
My Own Summer
One Step Closer
Them Bones
King's X, Dogman, Groove Machine?????? ☹️
Unchained by Van Halen was robbed
My main guitar has always stayed in Drop C# cause when I was younger I practiced Almost Easy a lot and I played a lot of Norma Jean songs lol
C# Db is my drop setting on my Ibanez! Your sound is simply: Killer,! What are you using for your killer sound: Amp? BIAS FX2? ! Where does one get backing tracks for songs like you're using?
Thanks! Bias FX and Guitar Rig. I make my own backing tracks for these videos.
I never realized how similar the riff in second and Sebring was to Halifax- Sydney!
Before I even clicked this video all I could think was Second and Sebring damn well better be on this list. Good taste. Forgot “Sorry You’re Not A Winner” though
Bruh where is waking the cadaver??
Wasn’t expecting of mice and men🖤
Missing break stuff
Man every time I hear Them Bones I'm thrown back to Doom
1:54 Ah 🗣️‼️
What is with the hardtail(?) on the Ibanez?
Needed an easier way to retune the guitar
Was waiting for Mudvayne - Happy?
The Fancy version of the plot to bomb the panhandle 😂
its in drop C not C#
Very good list!
Damn that rocked hard!
Great job!
What is your string gauge?
Stick stickly.
Paramore can be played in any tuning, what's the point?
Ok? Paramore uses c# for it. Look up the tabs. They use open drop chords. Why not do research before commenting?
@@gilbert4394 I did not say they didn't, I'm saying it's pointless for this video if you don't play any open string. I can play this exact riff on E standard by playing one fret down, hence, pointless for this video.
the chorus literally uses the open notes for the chorus tho, in drop c#
@@s0ckw1zard55 Am I blind? There's not a single 0 in the tabs while he plays it
@@eNtrozx well yeah, because he's playing the lead
listen to the rhythm riff, you can clearly hear the low c# note (to compare it, listen to stick stickly by attack attack's intro)
Nice. But I must say that in my opinion, Killswitch Engage were the kings of drop C riffs. Just one after another. Again, just my opinion.
great vidéo !
You're missing some notes in them bones
awesome!!!!!!!
How do you get backing drums like that
I only know to play be quiet and drive (far away)
Gah! "Deadbolt" by Thrice is always the first Drop C# riff I think of. 😢
Idk abt paramore being in Drop C# ?
Hey man, what pickups are you using in this guitar? I have the same one but I don't like the stock pickups. Can't find it in your gear list
These are the stock pickups. Second generation of Infinity pickups, I think. But nowdays they use "Quantum" pickups, so they might sound different.
Unchained?
Why is it missing? The absolute greatest song in that tuning
@@granitesevan6243exactly, it’s a very catchy and fun riff to play.
Perry Mason by Ozzy Osbourne?
Grace - Lamb of God
not one Sabbath song !
Chop Suey is more iconic than BYOB.
Chop Suey it's in drop c, not drop c#
Cool 😎😃
Dude, what bridge is that on your guitar? I have the same model and I hate the floyd rose on it and want to change it.
It's a fixed bridge by Schaller. Changing strings, string gauge and tuning was very challenging with the floyd rose, so I installed a fixed bridge to make my life a bit easier.
@@KevinBalke Thanks! I will look into it. I really struggle when I have to change strings.
Hypnotize and Mezmerize Album is all in Drop D. So BYOB is wrong in this list.
no it isn't. it's in Drop C#.
great riffs, love my own summer - when you tune down is it just the low E string thats down tuned?
Tune to drop D and then every string down another half step.
Keep it up
Nice video! I would like to suggest some Qotsa or Royal Blood riffs also played in this tuning
Death Angel?
Fairly sure a lot of these songs aren't played in drop C by the original artist, but CAN be played in drop C if you want to. These all seem low to my ear. Good covers though man!
Heart shaped box was drop D for sure
@@someperson7622 Nope, definitely drop C#. Every song on in Utero was tuned down at least half a step, I'd assume both to put less strain on Kurt's voice and to make them sound heavier.
You can't post drop C# tuning covers without leaving out Collective Soul. You missed Shine and Why pt. 2
Rammstein?🥲
Rammstein has no Drop C# songs
W A L K
Hearts shape box is drop d.
It isn’t. Play along to the original guitar track in drop D and it’ll sound out of tune.
Want some INCREDIBLE heavier drop C# riffs? Check out My Bitter End and their album, The Renovation. Some of the best guitar work I've ever heard personally. I learned Salvage the Structure the other day off this album, and it's for sure the most fun I've had playing a song in a long time. Technical but easy. Enjoy
Heart shaped box is drop D
r u sure ? i think it's drop C
No it's not
@@jigraand it's definately drop D.
@@coreybenoit9268 ok cool
play the riff in drop d along with the original song
Where is NO MORE TEARS by Ozzy and Zakk? 🤨
No Hall of the Mountain King from Savatage??🥺💔
PLEASE, Can you show un how te get that tone?
Why does Sabbath keep getting left off ALL these lists? None of these bands would exist without Black Sabbath
Everything except Nirvana 😒
Wait, isn't this D flat?
yes technically, but theres only a D sharp and D. no d flat, since thats just c#.
D flat is a thing and yes C sharp is the same thing but they are different when you get into music theory. I can assure you though that D flat is definitely a real thing
Just buy a 7-string at that point
How you could've skipped "Dogman" by King's X, I'll never know.
Should've had ghost walking on the list
Skip the Nirvana garbage.
The intro to One Step Closer by Linkin Park definitely has palm muting in it. It is not all played open.
Слушал, смотрел, но рифф только у SOADуслышал. У остальных набор звуков
Ibanez guitars have got to be among the ugliest and worst sounding guitars ever constructed
